27/12/2025: I always enjoy my visit to Café Prinder, an authentic spot in the heart of the Capucins market in Marseille. The welcome is friendly and warm, perfect for enjoying a coffee or mint tea on the terrace while watching the neighborhood bustle. According to many visitors, the staff is lovely and the family atmosphere creates a real break in the day. I highly recommend this quintessential Marseilles stop 😊☕️🌞

04/02/2026: Decades of loyalty rewarded with contempt. "Damn it, I don't have a ticket": that's the ill-timed comment from an old man, my father. Obviously, this didn't sit well with the bartender, who chimed in with a pronouncement of "respect," instantly raising his voice, and then resorting to threats. Apparently, my father's life was spared due to his "advanced age, because otherwise..." Otherwise what?? And then, "Be glad, because with my boss it wouldn't have been the same!" The bar is set very high. A little apart, I don't understand the surreal scene unfolding before my eyes, but I'm quickly singled out: "Don't you look at me like that!" I think I tried to defuse the situation by speaking calmly, but the result was: "Leave and don't come back, you're not welcome here!" Astonishingly, just five minutes before this incident, I was praising the establishment to the waitress, who had asked if everything was alright. What a shame, my father is celebrating his 84th birthday today. We've known the chef for perhaps 20 years, and my father has never missed an opportunity to compliment him, nor has he ever systematically left a tip when paying the bill. Today, there was no tip, and I bid farewell to this place, the place of my childhood on the tennis courts, solely because of the overreaction of this overly threatening bartender, who couldn't see the situation clearly and whom I consider unprofessional. How sad.

25/12/2025: We booked online for a family lunch on December 25th, but we found the doors locked and a sign saying the restaurant was closed for the entire Christmas holiday! Neither the website nor the phone message indicated the restaurant was closed. We had to find a last-minute alternative on Christmas Day!

18/12/2024: I ordered takeaway pizzas without knowing the restaurant beforehand and what a nice surprise! If you like generous dough, this one is soft and delicious. Furthermore, the ingredients are of very good quality. Thank you I finally found my neighborhood pizza!!!!!!

21/11/2024: Restaurant like we don't do anymore today Friendly and family-friendly, you feel at ease there. The pizzas are very well garnished and plentiful. The same for desserts, chocolate fondant with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, the chef is really generous, it's rare these days! And unlike many other restaurants in the area whose names I won't mention, you won't feel murdered by the price, we were even surprised, we expected much more!

17/11/2024: Very pleasant and smiling waitress, nice setting but the duck was very rubbery, the pasta cold and the mash and ratatouille frozen. Very good wine.

06/11/2025: La Vanille Noire is THE Marseille ice cream shop where each scoop is a frosted work of art 🍦🖤! Even the Old Port melts with pleasure just from the smell.

30/10/2025: Delicious! My absolute favorite was the peanut sorbet! It wasn't too sweet and had a real peanut flavor. Go without hesitation, plus the staff are lovely!

14/12/2024: The old port of Marseille seen from the heights, this city is fascinating because I have the impression of having two worlds. Leaving the train station you have large cities with lots of people and popular neighborhoods until you reach the old port. Once you are there, it is a rather chic and bling bling world, everything is made for tourism and you are amazed Take the time to sit on a bench and contemplate the sky, the sea... escape....
