21/08/2026: The welcome was pleasant. The home-style cooking was nice, but there's a major problem with the prices versus the portion sizes! Two starters (small portions, advertised as "to share"), one drink, one coffee, and one dessert for two people cost €60. Simply exorbitant! It's a shame because the food was good, but the prices aren't justified. Half the price would have been a fair comparison.

15/08/2026: Our favorite spot when we're near Bidache. The starters are really good, the main courses or the daily special are fresh and tasty, and the desserts are just as good as the main courses. Even after all these years, it's still just as good 🤤😋

The contact with the owner was incredible; he offered many options to best suit the group and was always available to answer questions. A huge thank you to him! Between the food platters, the amazing cocktail menu, and the fantastic atmosphere in the bar, it was perfect!!! A massive thank you to the waitresses and waiters, who were amazing, always in tune with us and incredibly kind. We wished we could have taken them with us for the rest of the weekend! 😊 Between the owner remotely, the partner on site, and the entire team who took such good care of us, the atmosphere was fantastic, safe, and welcoming—everything was in place for an incredible evening. Thank you for this wonderful evening; our whole group loved it!!!

18/05/2026: Very disappointed with this meal. The asparagus starter was undercooked, the fish was a small fillet of sea bream served on a bed of peas and broccoli, cold as if straight from the fridge, and the dessert was simple: three tasteless strawberries drowned in industrial whipped cream. All this for €48 per person without wine.

24/08/2026: A beautifully decorated restaurant with quality cuisine, but the portion sizes, given the prices, are frankly perplexing. We are used to discovering many restaurants, including in major capitals, where high prices can be justified by exceptional ingredients, a unique experience, or genuine culinary artistry. Here, we unfortunately found the value for money difficult to defend. A burrata tomato for €15, excuse me??? followed by a beef fillet, admittedly very good, accompanied by pressed potatoes (gratin dauphinois), a small touch of eggplant caviar, and two shallots… If you wish to offer very measured portions, this can be done within the framework of a multi-course tasting menu, where the whole thing creates a true culinary experience. But here, the portions are simply too small to constitute a complete meal, to the point of leaving us still hungry and pushing us to order a dessert we wouldn't necessarily have wanted. We particularly enjoy restaurants in this price range, and even higher, and I rarely leave negative reviews. But here, I really felt the prices were disproportionate to what was offered. Aesthetically pleasing, with enjoyable food, but the value for money was simply unacceptable to us.

24/06/2026: In the midst of a heatwave, Lac des Sapins is a true oasis of coolness! We came here to escape the sweltering temperatures and we weren't disappointed—the shade of the fir trees, the clear, cool water of the lake, it was exactly what we needed. A magnificent natural setting, a serene and soothing atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perfect for swimming, walking, or simply relaxing in the shade and enjoying the peace and quiet. A true slice of paradise that we're delighted to have (re)discovered this summer. A must-do when the heat becomes unbearable!
