21/05/2026: A nice place. Very 1970s Italian style. The place is quiet and not crowded. The staff is very kind and helpful. As for the Italian food, I can say that the food is good (you can't expect to eat like in Italy, but it's all good).
I had the gnocchi alla sorrentina, and they were good quality, and the tiramisu was also very good. The price is average for France.
21/05/2026: We stopped for a quick lunch, but stayed much longer than planned. Quite an extensive menu , we opted for lasagne which was very rich with blue cheese and spinach, and one with salmon. Delicious,and a very reasonable portion.The salad served with it tasted fresh with a dressing .Had a pichet of Rosê .
We succumbed to deserts, even though the original plan was a quick basic lunch and enjoyed coffee while admiring the art / deco decore. Real treat and reasonable cost. Staff are very pleasant and efficient.

19/04/2026: The terrace bar apparently closes at 5:00 PM. I arrived at 5:50 PM, and the waiter turned me away without a greeting or an apology. Just a formal gesture. What a shame.

23/04/2026: Unacceptable! We paid for our meal and the vegetable buffet was empty, the fries were cold, the starter was still the same price but the portion size was half that.
Absolutely avoid this place!

01/05/2026: This morning, Friday, May 1, 2026, my brother and I stopped for coffee. I should mention that I am blind. When I went to pay, I held out a bill to the waitress, who didn't even glance at it. We called her over to pay. She was very unpleasant and rude to me. When she came back, she just threw the change on the table. I told her I was blind and asked her to show me some respect. She didn't appreciate that. We will never set foot in the Chocolaterie de Chartres again. The service was terrible and there was no politeness whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.
