22/07/2026: I absolutely love these kinds of harbor pubs. Completely unassuming from the outside, unglamorous inside, with patches of plaster crumbling from the ceiling, and it's clear that for years, more emphasis has been placed on the food than on a polished exterior. That's precisely what gives Le Cabestan its charm. The food was fantastic. I had fish and chips with an excellent beurre blanc, fresh parsley, and capers. It was a really nice piece of fish, and the fries were superb. The mussels were also excellent. For a starter, we had the anchovy salad with red pepper and pistou. Fresh, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Everything served at the neighboring tables, from other main courses to desserts, looked absolutely amazing. Clearly, the cooking here is honest, creative, and skillful. No fancy presentation, no unnecessary glamour. Just a genuine, somewhat rough-around-the-edges harbor pub with surprisingly good food. These are exactly the kinds of places I love.

25/04/2026: The hotel is ideally located near the forest. Our room with a lake view was very pleasant. The hotel restaurant is good and offers a vegetarian menu. Everyone was very attentive. If we return to Huelgoat, we will gladly stay here again.

05/06/2026: Upon arrival, they were unfortunately out of kebab meat, which somewhat limited our choices. So we ordered a steak kebab and a marinated chicken kebab. The marinated chicken kebab was really very good, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, the steak version was a little less impressive. The staff were friendly, which was always appreciated. Overall, a decent place, with some good points and some more mixed results depending on your choices.

25/04/2026: Fantastic coffee tasting workshop! Florent is a true enthusiast. We were able to try several different types of coffee, with explanations that were always very thorough. The team's advice helped us choose the perfect coffees for us. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it! Thank you for this experience 😊

The entire Quintessence team was delighted with the venue, the warm welcome, and the organization. The guests expressed their satisfaction before enjoying a delicious family lunch on the patio. A truly enjoyable experience that we would love to repeat.

It was difficult to choose between the saleswoman who pressured you to select, the lack of detail in the ingredients on the list, and the fact that some sandwiches were unavailable and not marked as such. A real shame...
