18/08/2024: We were disappointed by the restaurant, flavors not completely controlled (pulled pork too salty and fatty, fish and its sauce very bland and without structure, almost water). On the service side, the team lacks friendliness and is borderline unfriendly despite service errors that deserve to keep a low profile (unserved wine that must be requested, salt spilled on the table, too quick explanations of desserts, etc.). We had the impression that the customers were bothering them rather than being happy to welcome them and do this job. In short, an experience that we will not repeat.

17/08/2024: A stunning table! Everything is inventive, surprising, lively and delicious. Total harmony. The service is impeccable, the presentation of the dishes is artistic, the flavors explode in the mouth. Our best restaurant ever!!!

06/12/2025: On this rainy day, we stopped by chance at this restaurant, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The warm and inviting atmosphere immediately encourages relaxation, as does the attentive service from the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, which was delicious and beautifully presented, as well as the quality of the service, which was both discreet and efficient. A great place that we will gladly remember.

19/09/2024: Went for Sunday Lunch with my wife while on holiday in Concarneau and throughly enjoyed the experience. Food was excellent and we had a great waiter who looked after us . Would throughly recommend

13/09/2024: What can one say about this “Bannalec institution” in an honest attempt to be fair: Mistake number 1: You follow the recommendation of a very successful “tourist guide” - yes, I know, it's actually a literary travel guide - to an already very overcrowded tourist city. Mistake number 2: You don't speak the local language well enough (but at least you try and don't immediately start chatting in German or English). When placing an order, the boss sees no possibility of helping out in any world language - except French. When it came to paying, English was no problem. Mistake number 3: You come at lunchtime and don't have a reservation. Unavoidable: a perfectly (honestly!) styled boss who had a lot to do with herself and being a boss and - despite mass operations - under no circumstances wanted to get into the depths of normal service. Conclusion: If you value the crime novels and the travel guide and absolutely have to “check off” a visit, you can do so safely, ideally without making the avoidable mistakes mentioned above. The food was good, but it didn't blow you away either. And: there are significantly better alternatives, especially when you evaluate the price/performance ratio.

02/10/2024: We arrived at the end of the service and yet we were very well received. A “home-like” atmosphere, updated dishes like endive gratin. Such smiling staff. Thanks to the team.

29/09/2024: Arriving without reservation, there were 7 of us this Sunday, September 29, 2024, a very warm welcome which makes you want to stay, simple but super well prepared cuisine, well-presented and copious plates, very pleasant staff. I recommend

04/07/2025: The bread is not good, they receive the dough uncooked, they just have to put it in the oven like the pastries, plus the waitresses serve you without gloves. Where is the hygiene?

19/11/2025: Not a great restaurant. The starter plate for children wasn't very varied, and the main course was cold. They're really pushing it. It's not worth 16 euros. This is the first working-class restaurant where I've seen tap water on the table. You order rare meat, and it comes well-done. It's really cold in this place; you have to eat in a jacket. The waitresses should change careers; they're not very friendly. The atmosphere must be terrible given how often the waitresses change; it feels like a canteen. The coffee is best avoided; it's undrinkable. The best working-class restaurant is Copains d'Abord in the Kergaradec area.

12/12/2024: I had a very pleasant time at the thalassotherapy center, an excellent massage, an environment conducive to relaxation. Dace herbal tea area at the swimming pool a little bit lacking in privacy apart from that nothing to say. Very clean and pleasant.

09/12/2024: When you enter the establishment, you are completely transparent, your nose on the computer, not the slightest reaction, neither hello, nor what do you want, enough to make you decide to turn around! Fortunately, the thalassotherapy staff are there to compensate for this lack of professionalism.

19/09/2024: Very nice and welcoming grill pizzeria. Large choice of pizzas and possibility to choose a main course and fatty starter plates

16/09/2024: Visit Monday noon without reservation. We ordered a children's menu, a daily menu (starter + main course + dessert) and a vegan pizza. All for less than €40. The children's menu consists of a queen pizza, a drink and two scoops of ice cream. For its price of less than 10€, it's a success. The pizza is large and the toppings are tasty. The ice cream is classic, nothing to say. For the adult menu of the day, it was country pâté, fried mussels and a profiterole for dessert with lemonade. The starter and main course are correct and the quantities generous. The profiteroles however had a relatively dry interior. Overall for a menu less than 15€ it is validated. On the other hand, pizza is not that. Its price is exorbitant considering the menus and when it is one of the few dishes available for vegetarians/vegans, it is not acceptable. The potatoes look like they came out of a can, the onions and peppers are raw, the tomatoes are undercooked, etc. Bottom line, if you want to fill your penny with classics it's more than good but if you have different tastes, don't go for this restaurant.

23/09/2024: We come here for an evening meal twice a year before taking the ferry back to the UK the following afternoon. So we have probably dined here about eight times. We usually have the set menu which is now €30, the least expensive option (excluding wine), but very good quality. The service is very efficient and business like, operating like a well maintained machine. The waitress who served us last night was probably the eldest of the many waiters, but seems to lack the ability to smile. She seemed very impatient when taking our order. No hint of friendliness whatsoever and yet was all smiles when talking to a male waiter. Other, younger waitresses were fine however. Like other commentators here, I feel the deserts could do with some embellishment. For example I felt the Pear Tart needed a little cream, but I had to ask for it. Last May I had the same and was charged €2 for the squirt of cream, last night I wasn't charged. So in conclusion, please can the management ask their staff to be a little more welcoming, as this clearly depends on who we customers are lucky or unlucky to be served by. Secondly can your staff please offer cream or other appropriate additions to the desserts. Such a small gesture would make we, the customer, feel our patronage was appreciated.

27/08/2024: très bon rapport qualité prix, pour une fois des galettes qui ne dégoulinait pas de beure ! mets de qualité. le seul bémol, le service un peu long et des assiettes rectangulaires pas très pratiques. mais bon de l'endroit la vue sur la rade et sur Brest est incomparable !
