11/12/2025: Wow, lunch at Babette's! What a welcome at this roadside diner! It's perfect; they make you feel right at home. Excellent local aperitif (a small Pontarlier wine) accompanied by thin slices of sausage. And then it doesn't stop there—the meal! Generous portions, incredibly delicious, service with a smile—we couldn't get enough. In short, go without hesitation. We'll be back Monday at lunchtime.

06/07/2025: I could have told you: "Go there with your eyes closed." But that wouldn't be enough to honor the work of Ivan Lavaux and his team. The chef shares his journey and his country throughout his dishes. And sometimes his story meets yours, and that's when we touch the sublime. And the products are excellent, the cooking is perfect, and the service, provided in part by the chef himself, is in tune. With very good value for money if you put it in relation to the work and know-how necessary to achieve this level of perfection. Otherwise, go there with your eyes closed.
02/07/2025: A colorful and welcoming place, nestled against Ambronay Abbey. A very warm welcome from the chef and server. The menu offers some wonderful discoveries, such as the particularly delicious carp ingot. The dishes are enhanced by a very well-chosen wine pairing, and offered at a reasonable price. A wonderful experience, one we will definitely repeat. A well-deserved Michelin star.

The charm of the room means that it does not need a lot of decoration to be enhanced. It had all the advantages we wanted: possibility of catering, rooms on site or nearby for our guests, rural location, recommendation of quality service providers. Thank you Armand for accompanying us on this great adventure. Our guests were delighted with the venue. We had a lot of praise for the food you prepared as well as your kindness and that of your team. A wedding at Domaine des Brouilles is synonymous with quality, success and simplicity. Thanks again!
06/04/2025: It is difficult to write a few lines because there is so much to say about this place! The estate offers a beautiful exterior, an absolutely impressive room, a whole bunch of authentic furniture, two large courtyards for the ceremony or the cocktail (practical if the weather is bad) and above all the possibility of being accompanied by Armand. These are the people you can trust with your eyes closed! Who always makes himself available to the best of his ability, follows your wildest ideas and who shares his experience to save you hassle. The service providers he advises are top notch (you'll see photos of the beef leg which caused a sensation!), his kitchen team is great and was greatly complimented, and his waitresses were top notch on the day. In short, our wedding could not have gone better than at Brouilles, thank you Armand and the team.

21/12/2025: Absolutely fantastic! From the outside, it looks like you're walking into the florist's shop (right next door), but it's great. Personally, I love the decor, a mix-and-match style with a second floor... The staff are friendly and efficient, and the products are local (including the wines). Take the time to chat with the owner; she has several anecdotes to share in a relaxed and informal way. In my opinion, it's the perfect place for brunch (which the restaurant also offers). A great find!!

And since when do you just "throw" meat on the griddle? 😡 What a terrible attitude in front of customers! And the best is yet to come... At 1:55 pm, the young woman bumps into our chair, doesn't apologize, and takes the opportunity to bang dishes in our ears 😡😡😡 That's how you tell us to leave...
27/01/2026: Once again, the food is perfectly satisfactory for a cafeteria at affordable prices. The portions are generous, and above all, the service is excellent, with smiles and a great atmosphere that you can feel among the whole team. It's a great place to spend a relaxing time, even during opening hours. I recommend it.

31/01/2026: I had booked a long weekend for two at the hotel for Valentine's Day, one of the best rooms and a table for dinner in the restaurant. To my great surprise, we were seated at a table near the entrance to the restrooms, at the back of a small room. Horribly placed. I was so shocked by this blatant discrimination that I didn't even protest at the time, and I regret it. But today, I decided to write. I don't even remember if the meal was good or not; they ruined our weekend.
02/01/2026: It's an institution, a monument of gastronomy, and it truly is. The dishes were presented with exquisite technique and serenity. The service was attentive and caring… here, they practice high precision… excellence. And with the Boss joining us at the table… I had a wonderful time filled with positive energy… Bravo!

27/01/2026: The owner and the lady's welcome seemed promising at first. However, as soon as I mentioned the origin of the meat or anything else, I felt like I was speaking gibberish. "So what if I have a veggie?" Yeah, right. The cook came and told me to hurry up and choose, so I left. Is he serious? There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. There's no way I'm spending a single penny in this kind of establishment. And stop with your lame excuses. I was respectful, smiling, and patient until your cook, without even saying hello, told me to hurry up. When I asked you about the origin, you laughed at me, saying, "Yes, we have our own animals, everyone knows that," and you mentioned frozen pizzas, not EU or anything. Stop lying to me, it's just driving me crazy.
11/01/2026: A very welcoming and clean restaurant. The dishes are beautifully presented, with lovely colors and a good selection. I personally recommend it.

06/01/2026: A farm run by a young couple who remain open in winter despite the lack of snow and lower visitor numbers. The farm is rustic, which is what makes it so charming. It's warm and welcoming. The meal was good and the breakfast very generous. Thank you for the accommodation.
21/08/2025: A very warm welcome. The place is secluded in the countryside. It's very beautiful. Small rooms with two bunk beds and shared bathrooms. The premises are clean. The meal is very good and homemade.
