30/06/2026: The meal was excellent, but the service didn't live up to the food. We had almost finished our aperitifs before receiving our olives and anchovies, even after asking several times. The same thing happened with the bread, wine, and salt. I felt like I was bothering the waitress, who seemed more interested in spending time with her friends. She wasn't friendly at all.

17/06/2026: I have been lots of times but I went for dinner last week in a party of 7. We had a big table in a quieter part of the restaurant. The staff were lovely and even the chef came out to talk to us. Our meals were excellent and it all came out at the same time. No problems whatsoever. They kept the drinks flowing and we're very attentive. Highly recommended for everything, the quality of the food, the portions, the service, the atmosphere. Thank you very much for an excellent evening. Outstanding and great value for money.

19/06/2026: Absolutely avoid this place, even if you have to! A disastrous experience from start to finish, with appalling service, an interminable wait, and disgusting food that gave me food poisoning. You'd be much better off walking a few more meters to find a decent restaurant.

11/05/2026: A must-try restaurant in the magnificent city of Carcassonne! A warm welcome, a high chair quickly provided, and excellent value for money! Absolutely nothing to complain about... And the three-course set menu for €15.90 is very tempting! The generous cassoulet is excellent. There's also a children's menu with homemade fries and nuggets coated in pumpkin seeds... A good local beer, "La Ciutat," to go with it... Sunshine... Everything was perfect!

25/12/2025: This is the second year in a row we've ordered yule logs. The first year it was supposed to be chestnut, but there weren't any. This year it's mandarin, but the mandarin is frozen. Furthermore, the cream is grainy, watery, and doesn't look very appealing. Very disappointed.

18/04/2026: So, the problem is that you can't order by phone... I switched to a different shop. Too bad. Customer service is a priority 😊

10/06/2026: Run by a very welcoming and friendly couple (and a good-natured dog :D), this place welcomes you to a charming garden not far from the canal. Ideal for a drink after a day of exploring. (Bike storage available overnight) The place is filled with little decorations featuring positive and cheerful quotes. The food is homemade and delicious (chef's terrine), with a vegetarian option (delicious vegetable lasagna). I recommend it.

24/05/2026: We needed last-minute accommodation, and this did the job. We also enjoyed the meal (thankfully, as there's nothing else nearby). However, the room was basic, and the welcome was impersonal. It was rather expensive for what it offered.

31/07/2026: Classic French restaurant. The menu is fairly basic. The dishes are good, although the vegetables are simple and not very flavorful. The view is lovely and the atmosphere is pleasant.

03/06/2026: I had fond memories, but that was before... before the owners changed. The crepes are bland, not very generously filled. In the end, for two of us, it cost €50, including a small pitcher of cider, a drink, and a dessert crepe. We left still hungry and, above all, very disappointed.

23/04/2026: An absolutely perfect stay! 🌟 The cottage is very welcoming; you immediately feel at home. The owners are incredibly kind, always attentive, and available if needed. The peace and quiet are truly wonderful—no noise at all, allowing for complete relaxation. The location is ideal: just a 30-minute walk from the village of Gruissan, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The sea view from the restaurant is a real bonus! Free parking is available, which is very convenient. I highly recommend it; we will gladly return!

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to go back, but we were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • We're glad to see that this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very fond memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! A great place to escape to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned trip to Carcassonne!

27/08/2025: Establishment CLOSED!!!😡(We traveled 80km) It would be wise to report this on your door and on Google... And they don't answer the phone. Doesn't deserve any stars... Avoid!!!

16/07/2026: Food was low quality and not fresh. Tartare had very clearly been sitting for some time, Frites were terrible and not hot.

16/07/2026: The place was nice and the waiters were friendly until I went to pay and they tried to rip me off. They gave me a rough estimate of what I owed, and since it seemed excessive, I asked for the bill, but it only showed the total amount. When I told them I wanted a breakdown and showed them the price list in front of me, it was 10 euros less. They apologized, saying it was someone else's bill. Maybe that's why they were so nice at first.

11/10/2025: Thank you for the warm welcome and very quick service. The pizza was very good and generous. The tiramisu was too soft for my taste, but it was still a very good experience!

30/07/2026: Authentic cassoulet in a warm and inviting atmosphere at a very reasonable price! Expertise at the service of our taste buds! I highly recommend it!

31/05/2026: We received a terrible welcome. Because we hadn't made a reservation, the waitress brushed us off, stating that dining at this restaurant requires a reservation only. Zero friendliness, zero compassion—in short, a customer experience we wouldn't wish on anyone.

06/06/2026: We had a wonderful time as a family at this restaurant. The fish soup was exquisite, and the mussels marinière were equally delicious. The servers were pleasant and efficient. There were ten of us, and the children were served quickly and before the adults. The placemats have coloring pages on the back of the menu, which is a nice touch to keep the children occupied at the end of the meal.
