20/05/2026: We went there for my birthday. We received a warm welcome. The restaurant's interior was magnificent, like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The meal was delicious and excellent. The value for money was unbeatable. I think you have to go to see for yourself. I highly recommend it.

19/07/2026: The welcome was friendly, but honestly, the pizza wasn't really a pizza. Made from poor-quality, industrial dough, it was more like a wrap smothered in tomato sauce and "cheese" than a real Neapolitan pizza. If you want to enjoy a decent pizza, unfortunately, avoid this place... despite the friendly welcome.

18/04/2026: Ordered for the first time: one I don't know (merguez, chorizo, minced meat) and one Savoyarde. Really generous and very good. Friendly service.

18/08/2026: A very good experience at this casino; everyone was smiling and welcoming except for the woman who handled the cashier's payment. She was very unpleasant and barely smiled, bordering on rude.

26/08/2026: A well-oiled tourist trap. We'd barely sat down when the waitress rushed to grab the drinks menu and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We said still (the implication being tap water), and off she went to bring us a bottle of water, which cost us 7 euros. The rip-off begins! I ordered a glass of white wine, verdict: 12 euros. My daughter had a children's menu consisting of frozen fries and breaded fish. The adult meal wasn't any better: mixed beans and frozen squid. The verdict: 82 euros for the setting; the food, if you can even call it that, isn't worth dwelling on.

21/08/2026: What can I say? A €35 set menu for food made on-site but from processed ingredients (I discovered the concept of cubed squid!) and frankly, it was quite tasteless. Avoid it, despite the rather pleasant service, if you overlook the chaotic situation that resulted in customers being turned away (due to staff shortages).

02/09/2026: We ate there for lunch and ordered two daily specials; chicken with olives and strawberry lemon tart, and it was absolutely perfect! We had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to go back, but we were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • We're glad to see that this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very fond memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! A great place to escape to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned trip to Carcassonne!

06/08/2026: A fantastic experience at Côté Sud restaurant! The dishes were truly delicious, beautifully presented, and flavorful. The service was also excellent. A huge thank you to Nicolas, our server, who was very pleasant, smiling, and professional throughout the meal. He was attentive and offered great advice. We had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend it!

06/08/2026: Just a culinary disaster. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Yet the menu looked good on paper. And to my great regret, I didn't check the Google reviews—what a mistake! Frankly, absolutely every dish was bad, and I mean it. In one dish of mussels, 70% were still closed, lukewarm, and had a terrible taste. I ordered a rare ribeye steak, which was supposed to be 500g. I'll let you judge from the photos, but to me, it was nowhere near 500g, cooked like a shoe sole... And to top it all off, the crepes were as tasteless as cardboard. In short, one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to.

08/09/2026: Fantastic, everything was so fresh. We had a seafood platter: king prawns, baby prawns, half a crab, lobster, and langoustine. All for €40, with butter and aioli. We enjoyed it in the shade, right by the canal. For those who want a set menu, it's €15 for a full meal. I highly recommend it, and all served with a smile!

05/09/2026: A very bad experience for our first reservation for 5 people to celebrate a birthday. The place is beautiful, but the waitress was incredibly rude and, above all, shockingly impolite. The menu was very limited, and as soon as we made a choice, the dish was unavailable, from appetizer to dessert! And we were pressured to choose another dish! We finally left. For a restaurant that claims to specialize in fish and seafood, you need to revise your menu, but especially your incredibly impolite waitress. A birthday and an address we won't soon forget! We won't be returning!

We ordered oysters, shrimp, entrecôte, carpaccio, tuna, and burgers, among other things – everything was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Overall, a very pleasant visit that we would highly recommend. Thank you!

We opted for the set menu and were not disappointed: the portions were very generous and you could immediately tell it was homemade and truly cooked. The value for money was excellent. In addition, the service was very good, with an efficient and welcoming team. A reliable address in Narbonne, I highly recommend it!
