29/09/2024: Unpleasant, haughty waiter, blows when asked for something. If you don't like this work with customers, you should think about changing, it's still the basis, especially when the customers are friendly.

26/09/2024: We spend every day and have a pleasant time each time, I recommend this place where the kindness of Mr Graçia and also the staff, for relaxation or a cool moment it is the nicest place on the esplanade.

15/12/2024: We ate very well and very good. They treated us in a very pleasant way and adapted to our requests. In the end they put us in with the coffee (4 people €12) because they said that the coffee included in the menu was without milk and we asked for it with milk. Nobody informed us at the time of requesting it. GOAL!!

15/12/2024: We have eaten very well. The typical Carcassonian food, thecasoulete, was delicious and the owners were very friendly and helpful. They try to speak in Spanish. We recommend it!!!

21/08/2024: I went for the cassoulet and really enjoyed. Not the best, yet pretty delicious. Fries on my son’s croque monsieur were a bit rubbery, but the sandwich itself and also the burger were wolfed and enjoyed. Essentially decent french cafe fare. Service was ‘very French’ but pretty quick. This is great for ambience and absorbing a bustling lunchtime buzz! I’d come with my family again. They don’t seem too rushed to let us pay though……(as I write this review!)

20/08/2024: Très belle découverte. Nous avons été très vite pros en charge malgré le monde au restaurant. Les portions sont généreuses et bon rapport qualité prix. Nous reviendrons.

03/08/2024: Unfriendly staff, and €2.90 for a mint in water is really exaggerated. I strongly advise against it.

31/07/2024: Food is okay, simple and affordable. Waiters were rather rude and clumsy, which seems to be the norm on this square. They don't know how to interact with customers. It felt awkward. On top of that, there was no toiletpaper.

30/08/2024: It's the best restaurant in Port la Nouvelle, The staff is really good and the food is really good with a menu with lots of choice. *do not hesitate to go to this restaurant*

01/09/2024: A restaurant to eat, that's all. Several a la carte menus. Otherwise it's not gastronomy. Just enough to eat. The plates are simple and not very generous. Otherwise the servers were nice. Expensive drinks. Be careful.

26/10/2025: Run away!!!! Catastrophic service, portions much too small! More than 45 minutes just for the starters! Rubbery mussels, probably frozen...

28/08/2025: No opinion on the food since we couldn't be served! We sat down on the terrace and then had to wait 20 minutes for the menus! I went inside to ask for the menus, thinking I could help, but I was very poorly received, and we never received them, even though she said she would bring them to us. It was 9:15 p.m., there were only three tables; I think she simply didn't want to work any longer, since there were seven of us + one baby. Fortunately, we received a better welcome at the ice cream parlors next door.

07/12/2025: A waste of time. They took note of two juices and a croissant and after half an hour they told us that there were no croissants left, then they served us juice. 30 minutes for two glasses of juice that was not even natural at 7€. A scam

10/11/2025: As a wine stop, it's a nice place! Cool little cave inside and good wine. The staff was a bit short perhaps but it's not uncommon and doesn't bother me that much, they did their job - we got wine and could pay when we left

10/09/2024: We popped in for lunch and made the mistake of not reading reviews - this place really is best avoided. We have had several meals in Carcassonne and this was the worst by a country mile. We had a set menu and started with a salad - ok, but just salad with no dressing. Our main course was pasta, so soft and bland I could only manage a few mouthfuls. We could see other customers looking very unhappy and saw one customer send his meal back, and he clearly was equally unhappy with his replacement. The server was friendly and was working hard but had too many customers. In the end, we left without the dessert we had paid for as the service was slow and it was clear that the dessert was unlikely to be worth waiting for.

09/09/2024: Decent environment and staff friendly, but the food! Didn't think it could be this bad in France! No flavour at all or dressings or sauces. Plenty of better in the old city, this is one of those aimed at tourists that won't return. Wish I'd read the reviews before going......they are accurate!

07/01/2025: Sorry to say, but I regret dining here. The food was just terrible. To top it all off the owner was shouting at a customer and I was so put off I just woke up, paid and left. I had to go somewhere else after to remove the bad taste and this time I made sure to consult the reviews! Lesson learned.

01/01/2025: Very scarce food. I ordered a combination plate: duck, potatoes and salad €17 and my wife had a menu €17.50. Everything is very very scarce and if you ask for water they charge you €5, which is shameful. 10 meters away there is another restaurant, better there...
