31/07/2026: The cassoulet was mediocre, barely cooked. Luckily, the portion was small for €25… 😞 The duck legs were clearly undercooked. When we pointed this out, the staff's response was, to say the least, surprising: "We don't understand, the duck legs arrive in a box and are normally already cooked." A perplexing response that obviously didn't solve the problem. The pasta carbonara was like something you'd get in a school cafeteria: no salt, with a heavy cream that was far too mild and completely lacking in flavor. The worst part was the service: plates were cleared away as soon as everyone had finished eating. The staff did the bare minimum, not saying a word more than necessary to take the order. In the end, a huge disappointment. The quality is absolutely not up to the price. At €25 for a cassoulet, you have the right to expect a properly prepared dish and much more professional service.

30/07/2026: This restaurant doesn't have a set menu, only à la carte options. The dishes are quite expensive for what they are. For example, a chocolate fondant is €9 or tomato and mozzarella salad is €15.

08/07/2026: I won't talk about the restaurant or their food here, since the place was full. No, I want to share an unpleasant experience I had in the sun lounger area of ​​this place... well, sun loungers, more like seats from another world... with no real shade, since they were covered by a canvas that let in every ray of sunlight. On a day like Sunday, July 5th, when it was nearly 40°C everywhere, a little shade would have been welcome. The sun loungers were dirty and old. We wanted to get drinks, but we had to go get them ourselves from the bar; no one came to ask if we needed anything. A mint tea with tap water cost €4 and was served at room temperature... not a single ice cube! A pretty poor service... and you have to bring your own drinks to your lounger... unbelievable! I've never seen anything like it. The €30 I paid for the sun loungers (pocketed quickly without a ticket 😁) was only for one hour, as it was impossible to stay longer due to the poor quality. Have a great season! 👋 🫣

04/07/2026: A wonderful discovery! The setting, the delicious food like the shrimp tartines and the Thai beef tartare... succulent and beautifully presented dishes. I'll definitely be back! 😉

03/06/2026: What can I say, except that I was disappointed by the bare minimum offered for dinner and especially breakfast (for jam, they offer strawberry or apricot, a pat of butter, three small slices of bread, and a cup of coffee, and that's it... I won't add anything more; the value for money is poor). A hiker on the Cathar Trail...

16/04/2026: We were on foot and took advantage of the bar for a quick drink. The service and atmosphere were fine. However, in hindsight, I think it was quite expensive: 3 sparkling waters and a Pepsi for €16.

19/07/2026: A wonderful find after our visit to the Cabrespine chasm! Excellent welcome 👍 The beef cheek, polenta, and small vegetables were very tasty, and the house dessert was white chocolate with a delicate raspberry coulis that wasn't too sweet (25 euros for a main course and dessert). I highly recommend this magnificent inn.

16/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance and immediately knew we were in for a treat. A cheerful and festive atmosphere at the bar while we waited for a table, simple yet generous cuisine, colorful characters, and a special shout-out to Eric, Mylène's cousin! 🤣 A genuine, unpretentious, and authentic spot where you feel right at home!

14/05/2026: The waiter who served us was friendly and professional; however, the food was completely bland. The mussels marinière seemed to have been prepared by a chef who had clearly forgotten the proper recipe. The fries were supposedly fresh, but we have our doubts. The chocolate fondant wasn't moist at all. The other two waiters were a bit too familiar. And finally, the restrooms are in dire need of renovation. We know quite a few restaurants in Gruissan, but this is the only one we would avoid at all costs!

17/11/2025: We stayed here last May for a much-anticipated weekend getaway for two! We were absolutely charmed by the place, the garden, and the spacious, comfortable room with its thoughtful touches. We greatly appreciated the kindness and humor of our host, who put so much energy and generosity into preparing the breakfasts (all homemade and local) and sharing them with the two other ladies at the table. The last rainy day was a welcome respite in the reserved spa... It's a haven of peace, well-located, and we have wonderful memories. Thank you! Marie and Jérémy

12/10/2025: Everything is perfect!! Evelyne is adorable. She's a person full of humanity. She has created a cozy space. You feel right at home. The bedding is top-notch. As for breakfast, it's fabulous.

03/01/2026: I discovered this bakery/pastry shop quite by chance during my recent stay in Carcassonne, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Freshness, quality, price, service—everything is perfect. I highly recommend it.

20/07/2026: This restaurant is a bit of a disaster... Apart from the waitress who seems to be running the show, it's all very amateurish. The service was terrible: a very, very long wait, they didn't ask how we wanted our steaks cooked, and they forgot to give us the dessert menus. We had to get up and go get them ourselves. The paprika crepe was barely edible. It was crammed with cheese and quite sickening. The crepe itself was undercooked and arrived cold. The ice cream scoops were of very, very low quality. Apart from the lemon one, the others are best avoided. At the end of the meal, no one asked for our opinion, neither the waitress nor the waiter who charged us. With such a location, you'd expect better. What a waste.

18/07/2026: Avoid at all costs. The service was terrible. We had to call the waiters back several times: first to take our order, then for drinks, and then for our food. They had forgotten. The bread never arrived. Then it finally arrived after 30 minutes, fresh from the microwave. Burning hot and incredibly soggy. The charcuterie and cheese board was supposedly local: on the board were cheap goat cheese log, cheap brie, rosette salami, Emmental, and Bleu d'Auvergne. The cheese and charcuterie were low-quality and definitely not local. €29 for the board is outrageous. There was absolutely no organization in the service; it was a complete disaster. You can't just become a restaurateur overnight, and in this case, they really need to quit and find a new career.

20/05/2026: We went there for my birthday. We received a warm welcome. The restaurant's interior was magnificent, like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The meal was delicious and excellent. The value for money was unbeatable. I think you have to go to see for yourself. I highly recommend it.
