The octopus was magnificent, beautifully cooked, generous, nothing to complain about, and the Corsican platter was fantastic! 16/01/2026: This restaurant has many advantages. A warm atmosphere, a very welcoming waitress and chef, and most importantly, refined and delicious cuisine at a very reasonable price of €24 for a starter, main course, and dessert. We could compare this restaurant to a bistronomic establishment, which isn't quite one, but comes very close. We will definitely return. 👍

11/12/2025: The warm welcome and genuine friendliness (they really wanted to please the customer) charmed us. You can feel the generosity in the service... The lunch menu was perfect, with a generous portion and homemade fries... The homemade floating islands were delicious and original, not to mention the enormous glass of excellent punch. 09/12/2025: Positive point: The food is quite good, but the price is rather high. You can easily find just as good or better elsewhere for less. Negative points: - When we (a couple) entered the restaurant, the owner immediately asked us where we were from. Looking at the reviews, one mentions that walk-in customers are treated worse than regulars, and I think there's some truth to that, having observed how the regular customers were treated. - French regulations are not being followed in several ways. There are no menus displayed outside, only a chalkboard inside. There's no drinks menu displayed either outside or inside. We were offered an aperitif and wine verbally without being shown the menu or given the prices. - The menu board inside offered mussels and fries (in season), which is what we wanted, but no mussels. Yet, mussel season on Oléron is from July to December; so we chose monkfish because we're not fans of burgers or fish and chips, but it was €9 more per dish than the mussels. - The bill of €110.70 for two people doesn't match the prices listed on the website, with a difference of €5, but since we weren't given a receipt or invoice, it was impossible to verify. You might ask: Why didn't you complain? Because for me, a restaurant is a place for socializing and relaxing, and I'm not going to waste my time complaining. It's up to the staff or owner to make suggestions to satisfy the customers, and that clearly wasn't the case here. A shame.

06/11/2025: A small crêperie in the center of Rochefort. They use high-quality local and Breton products, with a subtle combination of flavors. The service is quick and friendly, with clear explanations. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended!

05/01/2026: Passing through La Rochelle for the weekend, we booked a table at this restaurant. The welcome was pleasant and very warm, with thoughtful touches from beginning to end. Our dish was delicious and fresh; we had a wonderful evening and highly recommend it.

02/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve at Le P'tit Amiral for the second time, and just like the first time, the meal was excellent, the welcome from the owners and staff was top-notch, and the service was impeccable 👍. I highly recommend Le P'tit Amiral, which is anything but small, as the food is excellent and the service flawless. Thank you to the entire team, to whom I give 3 stars. New Year's Eve dinner, so a complete menu including an aperitif. Very reasonable price for a New Year's Eve celebration.

26/11/2025: Not easy to find if you're not from the area, but once you do, it's a fantastic discovery. A well-balanced menu, excellent value for money. Top-quality ingredients, everything is superb. And great cocktails! In short, we'll gladly return as soon as we're back in the area!

16/12/2024: Very good restaurant. The menu is varied, the tastes are there. We had a blast. A few small downsides for the really cold puree (returned without problems) and the nuts not mentioned as decorations in the desserts. The Carrot sauce is magnificent!
