23/02/2026: They know how to deliver excellent value for money, and the dishes are generous and delicious 😋 as for the staff, they are lovely, nothing to complain about. Go for it if you want to eat well.
18/02/2026: All the surrounding restaurants were full or had reservations. So we went to Bistrot d'la chaine, where there was only one table occupied.
We were pleasantly surprised.
The friendly service and the delicious appetizer, oysters and sparkling wine, as well as the main course: simply delicious!
We communicated well in English.

A friendly atmosphere with a real "bouillon" vibe, simple and welcoming, just the way we like it.
The value for money is quite reasonable: €92 for three people including aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, and wine.
A pleasant place to have a good time without breaking the bank. 😊

15/03/2026: Nice little restaurant. The dishes we chose were very good. We found the blonde beer a bit bitter, though. Also, the waitresses were fiddling with their phones between cutting the bread and serving the table... Frankly, not very hygienic.

Fish, seafood, and generous desserts, far from tourist traps, affordable prices, and excellent service.
07/02/2026: The rave reviews convinced us to book a table. My colleague and I ordered mussels with Bleu d'Auvergne cheese. The sauce was generous and quite well made. However, half the mussels were overcooked.
The quality of the red wine served by the carafe was truly mediocre, especially considering the €9.50 price tag.

02/01/2026: On the evening of January 1st, Mornac was deserted and cold... We went to the restaurant Les Basses Amarres. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming.
It was busy; the locals were there, which was a good sign!
The cuisine was refined, perfectly balanced, and delicious. You won't be disappointed...
The service was impeccable.
The bill was very reasonable considering the quality of the food.
We highly recommend it.
