11/07/2026: What a pleasure it is to return to Restaurant L’Ecume every year! We never tire of this refined cuisine, where every ingredient is perfectly prepared! The restaurant offers a 3-course market menu for €28, unbeatable for such high-quality food. Moreover, the welcome is always perfect, and the staff will always go out of their way to pamper you 🤩 I highly recommend it if you're passing through St-Trojan, and it's even worth a detour if you're simply on the island ☺️

23/07/2026: Located in a village of just over 1,000 inhabitants, this restaurant is a delightful surprise! With a very attractive set menu (starter, main course, and dessert for €25), the quality, despite this more than affordable price, is excellent! Bold flavors, generous portions, and attentive service (especially from the young waiter, who was particularly energetic and helpful). The mussel stew was very generous! The half-moon steak was flavorful! The main courses and desserts were well-balanced! The menu selection is limited, which reflects the freshness of the ingredients! Indeed, there are 4 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts on the menu. However, even though we aren't vegetarian, it's a shame there aren't any vegetarian options for the main course... On the other hand, "Le Gabarier" is committed to inclusivity for people with reduced mobility thanks to its accessibility! We had a lovely time and have rarely seen such good value for money (especially since the restaurant is located near several tourist attractions such as Crazannes Castle, the Crazannes Stone, the Lapidiales, and Panloy Castle). We highly recommend this restaurant! PS: Thank you for the thoughtful touch of directing the fans so they're perfectly positioned for the diners!

23/08/2026: We were absolutely charmed by this cuisine, which was as delicious as it was original. A masterful blend of Asian influences and the finest seafood, elevated with exceptional skill. The result is simply remarkable. While the storefront might initially suggest a somewhat touristy spot, one taste of the dishes is enough to understand that this is far from the truth: the quality of the presentation, the freshness of the ingredients, and the subtlety of the flavor combinations truly impressed us. A wonderful discovery, well worth the detour. We will definitely be back!

20/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic! We've been in Laleu for four years, and this was our favorite pizzeria in the area. The change of ownership has been a success! We were worried, but it's even better! There's a wider selection on the menu, including classics like goat cheese and honey, the careful distribution of the toppings makes all the difference, and the crust is perfect. Thomas and his wife are also very friendly. My sister lives just two streets away, and we've definitely become regulars 😉 By the way, it's now easy to reach them by phone, which wasn't the case before. Don't change a thing, we're loyal customers!

18/08/2026: We came for dinner and received a very warm welcome. We wanted to eat seafood, and the restaurant staff gave us excellent advice, both on the oysters and the wine. All this in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Well done to them for making our evening so enjoyable. We will definitely return on our next visit to La Rochelle.

11/09/2026: I thank the people who cancelled their reservations and allowed us to have a table for lunch today. The food was of very high quality, and the chefs and waiters were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Homemade cuisine using ingredients from the Île d'Oléron. Unique flavors and excellent presentation. In short... don't hesitate.

26/08/2026: Good quality broth food, tried 6 months ago out of season. But they refused to seat me today at 12:45 (during peak season, of course), even though I waited and half the restaurant was empty: was it fully booked? Clearly not in keeping with the broth spirit... Disappointing...

28/08/2026: We were looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon Le Bout, a place that contrasts with other restaurants; it doesn't look like much, but we ate very well there: homemade dishes, fish and chips, cod fritters and sausage rougail were delicious, and the same goes for the desserts.
