23/01/2026: An incredible location on the port of La Rochelle, at the foot of the Chain Tower. Very easy to access thanks to the large parking lot just a few dozen meters away. A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, good, comforting yet inventive cuisine (like the Salers steak tartare paired with oysters), and a sommelier who is as knowledgeable as she is pleasant. And it's right on the old port of La Rochelle! It's fantastic!

01/01/2026: New Year's Eve dinner on the 25th... Excellent truffle meal...top! Wine by the glass was appreciated. We'll gladly return in the summer. One small drawback: we were cold...a little warmth would have been welcome.

Generous portions for every dish, more than reasonable prices that allow us to order a starter, main course, and dessert every time we go (whereas we would have only ordered one overpriced dish at another restaurant), and to top it all off, delicious food, traditional dishes that are a joy to find on our plates. Even the service is top-notch 👍 We can book online and the response is always quick. In short, a comforting restaurant, the kind that sadly becomes rare these days 🥲

09/07/2025: We enjoyed the dishes made with fresh produce. The lunch menu is good value for money (€24.50 E+P+D). The service is pleasant, if a bit rushed (aperitif and daily specials are served immediately). A few tables are available on the terrace. A great place to stay.

05/07/2025: Adorable 🥰 The food is good, the service is super fast, and the staff are lovely. You can go there with your eyes closed! The little extra: the outdoor fountain, a feast for the eyes and ears.

17/11/2025: I arrived quite late by chance and received a very warm welcome. The food was excellent, a bit off the beaten track without being pretentious, and very reasonably priced for the quality. A very pleasant surprise!

11/11/2025: A must-try restaurant on the island, the grilled fish platter is truly sublime in terms of flavor, the pistachio and raspberry crème brûlée is a delightful experience, not to mention the chocolate fondant, which you savor slowly to prolong the pleasure. I first experienced it 6 years ago, and it's still just as delicious with impeccable service. It's a shame we live too far away to come back more often 😋

02/01/2026: On the evening of January 1st, Mornac was deserted and cold... We went to the restaurant Les Basses Amarres. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. It was busy; the locals were there, which was a good sign! The cuisine was refined, perfectly balanced, and delicious. You won't be disappointed... The service was impeccable. The bill was very reasonable considering the quality of the food. We highly recommend it.

16/01/2026: The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is very good, with a menu that changes regularly. We came with friends, our children, and even the dog, and we were very well received.
