Despite the heat and the unexpected crowds, there was still a moment to chat about the Pineau, which was then offered as dessert. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed our meals here for two days with a nice glass of wine. This restaurant is an unexpected gem. Cool inside or on the shady terrace. We will definitely be back.

19/05/2026: The food was excellent, but I'm deducting one star for the ambiance due to the poor soundproofing; it's very difficult to have a proper conversation. That said, I still recommend this restaurant because the staff is very welcoming and the food is delicious. I'm waiting for better weather to go back for lunch on the terrace.

12/04/2026: It had been two years since my last visit, but the service is consistently high-quality. There are five to eight options for each course. I had foie gras, creamy scallops with celery and mixed vegetables, followed by a crispy apple and salted caramel. Everything was delicious. A wonderful experience.

10/06/2026: We stopped for lunch at L'Atelier after spending some time on the beach as a family. The restaurant is located on a small square, slightly set back from the seafront. We were able to eat on the quiet terrace. The welcome was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive. We found the dishes to be good value for money. We had the set menu (main course + dessert) which was delicious! The children's menu is a bit pricey, but the quantity and quality are there. The service was quick, which is much appreciated when dining with children. We had a lovely time, thank you!

12/05/2026: I come here almost every year; it used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Royan, but for the last three years the food has been terrible. The dishes are completely ruined, some are barely edible… a huge disappointment. Luckily, the waiters are there to salvage things, so as far as the food is concerned, it gets a zero from me…

The only downside: they refused to cook the bacon any longer for a pregnant woman (apparently it wasn't possible in the kitchen). And a few more mussels would have been welcome!
