03/02/2026: This hotel is to be avoided! You can tell that the spiel claiming housekeeping is only done upon request isn't there to prevent waste but to protect profit margins... The restaurant is a disaster! The staff struggles with a non-existent organization... Everything leads to problems: a forgotten reservation despite being given a specific time, an hour's wait to be served, and tasteless food... Avoid it at all costs!!! The standard response perfectly reflected my dissatisfaction... To answer your question, you'll never have the opportunity to see us again... Furthermore, our experience at your hotel has shattered our trust in Accor hotel services...
01/02/2026: Hello I stayed at the hotel for four nights for a sporting event. The room was fine, nothing much to say, except that it could use a little freshening up. The weak point is the breakfast! Considering the price, a traditional breakfast is close to 100 francs; it's not great. Half an hour before closing time, there's hardly anything left. The selection is very limited, given the price. For dinner, I can't even understand why they only have one person to do everything. The employee on the evening of January 31st did what they could, but an extra person would have been welcome. We know in advance how busy the hotel is, so we should anticipate this and make sure we have what we need. I think the price is completely out of line with expectations. Since we had some time during the evening service, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos demonstrating that it's time for a bit of a renovation. The filthy carpet (the word is unfortunately appropriate) is completely unacceptable for a hotel costing over €100 a night. Sincerely, PS: Please let the staff know that it's polite to knock before entering!

04/02/2026: One sip of the aperitif and the main course arrives... The meal was lukewarm and undercooked. The mayonnaise and ketchup packets were expired. Personally, I won't be back, nor will I recommend this place.

07/02/2026: The meal started a little slowly, taking over half an hour to be taken, but apart from that, the food and service were excellent. The dessert trolley was incredible.
06/01/2026: Very disappointed! The menu was practically snatched from our hands as soon as we started listing the dishes we'd chosen from the €38 "seasonal" menu, under the pretext that there had been a mistake and that this menu wouldn't be served that day. We simply switched to the à la carte menu. The plate of perch fillets arrived... cold. We pointed this out, then mentioned that the fish was tasteless. They offered to add salt! As a gesture of goodwill, they offered an extra dessert from the famous "farandole" selection. The desserts were mass-produced, unrefined, and really not up to par. The atmosphere was oppressive, lacking any conviviality, which is surprising for this region. In short, my partner was looking forward to showing me this otherwise beautiful place. We won't be back!

04/12/2024: Nous étions 12 personnes dans une grande salle vide et froide. Le serveur faisait "chuuut" avec un doigt sur sa bouche car il n'arrivait pas à se concentrer pour prendre la commande de boisson, évidemment comme il n'avait rien noté, 2 boissons manquaient et une était fausse ! Le filet de magret de canard était trop cuit et le tartare de saumon n'avait vraiment rie de spécial. Nous souhaitions nous balader à Besançon après le déjeuner, le serveur nous a orienté vers l'accueil de l'hôtel, qui nous a simplement tendu un plan. Après lui avoir demandé quelques conseils, la personne nous a juste dit "nous sommes ici" !!!!! bref no comment, on a fait que se nourrir plutôt que de passer un bon moment entre amis au restaurant.

29/09/2024: The steak 🥩 from the children's menu is the same ground steak as in the kids burger so time to have a burger or rather nothing at all since I thought that was the only disappointment with the fact that the games swallow the pieces and does not work but ultimately little surprise of the weekend the steaks made the children sick my son told me that it was juicy and therefore poorly cooked even though on the menu it is stipulated cooked through (normal when using frozen steaks, the meat must be cooked to perfection to avoid this type of mishap)

09/07/2025: We decided at the last minute to cancel our stay in Pontarlier, hoping to discover this little gem in the Doubs region. The breathtaking view of the lake, the elevator, the air conditioning, and the parking were the deciding factors in choosing this establishment. The reservation went smoothly, and it was with bad weather (wind, rain, and 14 degrees Celsius) that we arrived at Malbuisson. The reception by a woman from the North was exceptionally warm. Explanations were given with a big smile, and even assistance was provided to our room. It made us forget the winter temperatures. The suite has everything we need: space and luxury, very comfortable bedding, a large bathroom with a whirlpool bath and a walk-in shower. Two televisions with limited programs, but the Wi-Fi is very stable for streaming! The breakfast is partly buffet-style, partly served at the table with a big smile. The lady who prepares breakfast and also cleans the rooms is extremely kind and helpful. Nothing to complain about. Granted, we're in the upper range at €240 a night, but considering the location, comfort, and amenities, we consider it to be a decent value for money. Regarding the restaurant, we can't confirm the reviews that speak of inefficient service. We spent more than two hours at the table for three à la carte courses in a very full room. The menu is limited, but we knew that, which is why we only ate there twice. Burgers, salads, and two fish/meat dishes. The quality was acceptable. The second evening was much more disappointing. The foie gras was excellent, but the €36 piece of beef couldn't be cut properly with a steak knife or chewed. There were two meat dishes: the chef refused to prepare the pork ribs because of the heatwave; it should be noted that the temperature was 18 degrees at 3:00 p.m., barely 12 degrees in the evening, and below 10 degrees at night. Plus, you had to eat the main course with the cutlery you used for the starter. For an unacceptable bill of €150. My husband had ordered ice cream for dessert, I had an iced soufflé. My husband received his ice cream after fifteen minutes. I waited in vain for my dessert. Half an hour later, I decided to give up and ask for the bill when suddenly the soufflé appeared. In short, the hotel's value for money is good; avoid the restaurant. Le Reflets, 2 km away, offers gourmet cuisine at lower prices. Very popular with locals, so reservations are recommended.
19/06/2025: We made a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We arrived at 7 p.m. for an aperitif. The setting is beautiful. The service was slow, so we finally had to go to the bar to order. At the table, it was the same story. The order took a long time, and the main course was served at least 45 minutes after ordering. Regarding the prices. For the price of a main course, you can get the market menu at the Hotel de France (a gourmet restaurant in Villers-le-Lac, with an exceptional starter, main course, and dessert). There, clearly, 31 euros for 5 mini perch fillets, 2 mini trout and eel tartare quenelles, and dry fries. We paid for the view... the beers were offered to us in view of the wait... thank you. I won't be going back.

13/12/2025: A truly exceptional pub! Small in size, certainly, but huge in atmosphere. The place is very warm, friendly, and above all, enlivened by excellent music that immediately sets the mood. We went there with friends and we loved it. A great atmosphere, simple, genuine, and pleasant. A place to remember and recommend without hesitation 🍻🎶

24/08/2025: Given the comments... we wanted to form our own opinion while out on a motorcycle ride with friends, and well... here it is. Welcome... No welcome 👌 The manager told us: I can't make you anything to eat, the cook isn't here, she's lazy... Great... 🤢 So we asked him what he could offer us. He told us cheese and charcuterie boards, to which we replied, well, great 👍😀 No table service for drinks. The tables weren't clean and weren't cleared, even though when we arrived there were two tables of four in total. In short... The boards were ridiculous. A few slices of cheese, the thickness of a sheet of tracing paper, I'd say. 50g of cheese, a slice of dry-cured ham, and two slices of sausage. On arrival €21 / person He only takes cash... no thanks... We're at the top. 👍 In short, don't make up your own mind... move on.

20/02/2026: Avoid this hotel at all costs. Our room door was open when we arrived. The hygiene was questionable. And to top it all off, there was no breakfast even though we had paid for it the day before. The restaurant was simply closed.
02/02/2026: This hotel doesn't deserve its 3 stars. Yellow sheets, leaky toilet, exposed air conditioning unit posing a risk of electrocution, dirty floor. Smell of cigarettes in the reception area. The only positive point is its location near shops. The reception and housekeeping staff are adequate. The negative point is the deplorable condition of the hotel, which needs to be addressed!

07/09/2024: Nous avons choisi le menu à 28€ avec des plats différents. La terrine maison (tellement parfumée au cumin que l’on ne sentait plus le goût de la viande) et pour l’autre la salade de légumes croquants (copieuse) Ensuite le filet de truite (accompagné d’une sauce trop citronnée) mais surtout servi avec des courgettes « piquées » et une demi-tomate provençale « tournée » elle aussi !!! Comment est il possible de servir des aliments daubés ? L’autre plat le jambon chaud sauce comté et râpé de pommes de terre était correct sans plus (dommage de réchauffer au four ces plats jusqu’à ce que les bords du jambon se racornissent et que le râpé de pommes de terre se ramollisse !) Devant nos assiettes non finies la serveuse ne nous a malheureusement rien demandé (nous aurions aimé l’informer discrètement de ces aliments qu’il convenait de ne plus servir… et nous n’avons pas souhaité la rappeler…) Le dessert un Paris Brest en patachou (qui était plutôt pâte à mou ! ) et un crumble de pommes (très bourratif …) Nous n’avons pas pris de café car un peu dégoûtés … nous avions choisi ce resto au vu des recommandations… très déçus de notre sortie !!!!
