26/10/2024: Un samedi midi à 12h15 ...restau bondé et bruyant ...mais service souriant et attentionné...belle déco pour Aloween en prime ! Nous avons pris deux menus "plat dessert et boisson" ...les moules toujours aussi belles ... Et nous avons été absolument estomaqués en voyant arriver les îles flottantes ! Enormes !

You won't want for anything here; you almost feel like you're staying with a family member. The Sunday morning atmosphere is also worth a try, very typical of small villages, with regulars waiting for you...we'll definitely be back.

09/07/2025: We decided at the last minute to cancel our stay in Pontarlier, hoping to discover this little gem in the Doubs region. The breathtaking view of the lake, the elevator, the air conditioning, and the parking were the deciding factors in choosing this establishment. The reservation went smoothly, and it was with bad weather (wind, rain, and 14 degrees Celsius) that we arrived at Malbuisson. The reception by a woman from the North was exceptionally warm. Explanations were given with a big smile, and even assistance was provided to our room. It made us forget the winter temperatures. The suite has everything we need: space and luxury, very comfortable bedding, a large bathroom with a whirlpool bath and a walk-in shower. Two televisions with limited programs, but the Wi-Fi is very stable for streaming! The breakfast is partly buffet-style, partly served at the table with a big smile. The lady who prepares breakfast and also cleans the rooms is extremely kind and helpful. Nothing to complain about. Granted, we're in the upper range at €240 a night, but considering the location, comfort, and amenities, we consider it to be a decent value for money. Regarding the restaurant, we can't confirm the reviews that speak of inefficient service. We spent more than two hours at the table for three à la carte courses in a very full room. The menu is limited, but we knew that, which is why we only ate there twice. Burgers, salads, and two fish/meat dishes. The quality was acceptable. The second evening was much more disappointing. The foie gras was excellent, but the €36 piece of beef couldn't be cut properly with a steak knife or chewed. There were two meat dishes: the chef refused to prepare the pork ribs because of the heatwave; it should be noted that the temperature was 18 degrees at 3:00 p.m., barely 12 degrees in the evening, and below 10 degrees at night. Plus, you had to eat the main course with the cutlery you used for the starter. For an unacceptable bill of €150. My husband had ordered ice cream for dessert, I had an iced soufflé. My husband received his ice cream after fifteen minutes. I waited in vain for my dessert. Half an hour later, I decided to give up and ask for the bill when suddenly the soufflé appeared. In short, the hotel's value for money is good; avoid the restaurant. Le Reflets, 2 km away, offers gourmet cuisine at lower prices. Very popular with locals, so reservations are recommended.

19/06/2025: We made a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We arrived at 7 p.m. for an aperitif. The setting is beautiful. The service was slow, so we finally had to go to the bar to order. At the table, it was the same story. The order took a long time, and the main course was served at least 45 minutes after ordering. Regarding the prices. For the price of a main course, you can get the market menu at the Hotel de France (a gourmet restaurant in Villers-le-Lac, with an exceptional starter, main course, and dessert). There, clearly, 31 euros for 5 mini perch fillets, 2 mini trout and eel tartare quenelles, and dry fries. We paid for the view... the beers were offered to us in view of the wait... thank you. I won't be going back.

We arrived without a reservation even though there were a lot of people Flank steaks of the day and truly homemade fried hamburgers with added sauces and desserts. The meats were succulent and the homemade sauces generous. No offense to some, everything was perfect. Yes, the sauces cost money but we know that and they are homemade... See you soon

02/09/2024: Accueil téléphonique à la réservation ( effectuée à la dernière minute) impeccable. Pendant tout le repas j'ai eu droit au sourire de tout le personnel avec un service à table sans fausse note. Menu à 40 € composé d'une croûte aux morilles, d'un filet de truite au vin jaune, une coupe glacée aux griottes pour dessert. Tout est parfait : le goût, la qualité des produits servis enfin la quantité. J'ai pris un punch maison vraiment excellent ( 7,90 € ) et un café. Addition totale 50 €. Rien à redire. Vous pourrez trouver à la carte des mets moins chers ( salades, pizzas et autres ) . Cadre magnifique avec vue sur la loue. Vous mangez en regardant les canards nager en dessous de vous. Je remercie et félicite l'ensemble du personnel. I will be back...

29/09/2024: Nous étions venus cet été en semaine, avec menu du jour, c'était bien .. Le WE: Cadre bien sympa, repas à la carte, mais cuisine bien approximative .. certains plats semblent sortir de chez Métro... ?? Sinon, un chien qui déambule des cuisines à la salle.. Pas très ragoutant... Bien déçu, nous éviterons ....

04/12/2024: Nous étions 12 personnes dans une grande salle vide et froide. Le serveur faisait "chuuut" avec un doigt sur sa bouche car il n'arrivait pas à se concentrer pour prendre la commande de boisson, évidemment comme il n'avait rien noté, 2 boissons manquaient et une était fausse ! Le filet de magret de canard était trop cuit et le tartare de saumon n'avait vraiment rie de spécial. Nous souhaitions nous balader à Besançon après le déjeuner, le serveur nous a orienté vers l'accueil de l'hôtel, qui nous a simplement tendu un plan. Après lui avoir demandé quelques conseils, la personne nous a juste dit "nous sommes ici" !!!!! bref no comment, on a fait que se nourrir plutôt que de passer un bon moment entre amis au restaurant.
