23/09/2024: Wir haben die Gambille im Vorbeifahren entdeckt und sind direkt den nächsten Abend dort essen gegangen. Es war nicht viel los und es gab auch keine Livemusik, aber das Restaurant hat auch so genug Charme und ist wirklich schnuckelig. Man sitzt sehr nett draußen und mit unserem Hund war es perfekt! Der Service war herzlich und gut. Das Essen war beide Male sehr gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis völlig ok. Wir können die Gambille nur empfehlen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

16/09/2024: The "Baltic" salad wasn't very fresh, plentiful but not fresh. As for the oysters, they were a bit questionable and quite small.

10/09/2024: Cela fait 10 ans que je viens au cap, et j’ai poussé la porte de ce restaurant et je ne l’ai pas regretté. Un accueil au top, la patronne souriante et attentionnée. Les serveuses adorables….. mais le must ce sont les plats. Du homard aux couteaux en passant par le menu à 18 euros, tout était raffiné et excellent, à tel point c’est que nous avons réservé pour ce vendredi. Aucun point négatif, un bon rapport qualité prix, une petite devo cabane de bord de mer, je suis tombée amoureuse de cet endroit. Je conseille vivement, même si de l’extérieur ça laisse pantois, n’hésitez pas à entrer vous ne serez pas déçus

15/12/2024: I am very disappointed, according to the reviews we had looked at, we wanted to try this restaurant for New Year's Eve and 2 days later we called to see if we had already come and we said no so they canceled for us. new year evening I find this shameful

08/12/2024: This is one of the worst performances of my life. Let's look for little positive to start. The setting is nice, lost in Cruzy and the decor is nice. The quality of the products seems to be there. Let's get down to business. The service is SLOW and I weigh my words. Between our arrival and dessert, 4 hours of hassle passed for each order placed. Understandable in a restaurant with 300 seats and even more... but here there are 50 maximum in the dining room... Nothing justifies the 30 minutes of waiting for the aperitif, the hour of waiting for the main course and the 45 minutes of waiting for the cutting of a cake prepared in advance! Except perhaps the owner or waiter who spends his time at the bar with his two friends who send each other a bottle of rum... Special mention, however, to the only waitress in this restaurant who struggles alone to make up for the more than repeated omissions of her colleagues... For my part, I had the joy of tasting a steak whose cooking was not controlled (ordered blue and received almost rare) with an aligot dishonoring Aubrac (a simple puree with cheese, not linked , liquid as desired). Even if the quality seems to be there as mentioned above, the lack of execution in the kitchen and the deplorable quality of the service meant that the bill, already hefty, was hard to swallow. We will not come back, this time served as a lesson to us. When will Chef Etchebest visit to turn around a restaurant that has potential?

08/07/2025: When I come to see my mother, we usually have lunch at the brasserie. Usually, there is nothing to complain about, but here, while my dish (wow shrimp) was good and plentiful (even too much for me), my mother had a fish accompanied by overcooked fries (they were dried out, they were so cooked). The waitress explained to us that she always served them like that, but at my mother's insistence, she agreed to bring them back to the kitchen. When she brought the plate back, some hot fries (a little less browned) had been placed on top of the fries initially served. My mother ate the "new" fries and left the others. We obviously did not appreciate being treated like that. We are very disappointed and we will avoid stopping at this brasserie in the future. Too bad.

05/07/2025: Lunch break with my husband in a pleasant setting. Very welcoming, fast service for those who work, very good and generous dishes, varied and fresh products. An excellent discovery for us. A place to remember, we will definitely return.

13/01/2026: After passing by several times, we decided to have lunch on the terrace in the sunshine on January 11, 2026. The waiter, full of humor, delighted us, and the dish served, the famous Sète-style tielle from Dassé... was a real treat. Thank you for this lovely time.

29/11/2025: We ate four times at this restaurant, which offers one of the most beautiful views and perhaps the best food in Cape Town. The service is excellent; kudos to the entire front-of-house and kitchen staff, despite the crowds. Special mention goes to the sea bass, the ribeye steak, and the Caesar salad—absolutely delicious.

23/11/2025: My favorite place to go when I want to escape the vineyards. Off we go to L'horizon in Agde! A view to die for no matter what the weather is. Great professional staff. Their breakfast is great, although I would love a savoury version: bread, butter, ham, cheese and a boiled or fried egg... But this a side, it's just a perfect place to enjoy a morning at the seaside.
