21/12/2025: During my stay in December for a short Christmas weekend, I stumbled upon this place and was very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the host's friendliness, and the decor of the house. The internet worked very well, the heating was perfect, the breakfast was excellent, and there's street parking nearby.

21/03/2026: I rarely leave reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed. Day-old crepes served cold! Apple tart completely undercooked. The service was okay, but the food was really bad. For something as simple as crepes, it's quite surprising! This place has changed a lot. What a shame.

20/03/2026: We were asked to lower our voices when we were talking and laughing normally?? I think if you can't stand noise and people, you shouldn't work in a bar… This woman clearly doesn't know the meaning of politeness. If we hadn't ordered, we would have gone somewhere else. It's a shame, we liked coming here. 🤷🏽‍♀️

23/02/2026: A wide selection of flavors... excellent! And very friendly and professional staff! My grandson dropped his ice cream, and the gentleman kindly asked the waitress to replace it! Thank you! Go there without hesitation! It's a real treat!

14/12/2025: A must-stay in Balaruc-les-Bains. The owners offer a warm welcome, spacious rooms, and refined local cuisine served in generous portions, not to mention the traditional sauerkraut on Thursdays. We greatly appreciate the hotel's welcoming atmosphere during our stays in Balaruc. I wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Martinez.

17/03/2026: We came once, not twice…especially since I live here. A chocolate waffle, they tried to charge us €4.50 when it was only €4… Extra banana, €2.50. 🤣🤣 Argument over the price…well, after someone intervened, we got a 50 cent refund. Seriously…you tourists, go somewhere else…there are other ice cream, crepe, and waffle vendors…the season is off to a bad start…

19/02/2026: We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates beautiful surroundings and fine cuisine. The staff were as excellent as the hotel itself. We also recommend the bar, which was both surprising and delightful.

15/03/2026: Lunch this Sunday: a dish of frozen shrimp (or at least not fresh at all), a 280g ribeye steak—well, not even 200g if you take away the ton of fat. €24 for a ribeye is highway robbery, and it was either frozen or extremely undercooked. The dishes came with salad and no dressing (well, a few drops under the lettuce leaves). And like many restaurants, you barely start sipping your aperitif before they bring you the main course! (The implication being, hurry up and eat, pay us, and your table will be used for a second seating.) I gave it two stars because the sauces are homemade (and they certainly emphasize this when you order, since it must be the only homemade food) and they are good. We tried it, we tasted it, we won't be back, and we'll be sure to let everyone know. In short, keep walking.

20/11/2025: You'd be hard-pressed to find someone more adorable than Alexandre! The biggest smile in Montpellier. Delicious and attentive service. A real treat for the taste buds. Okay... Admittedly, the restrooms aren't great, but that's because Mr. Delafosse still hasn't installed composting toilets. See you very soon! 🐝🚀

07/10/2025: We placed two orders. A starter of fried artichoke salad was like Easter, there were so few of them. lol. The main course was half a duck breast, but it was more like a quarter. The dessert was two pear halves covered in chocolate; the chef didn't remove the seeds. I reported it to the cashier, and there was no goodwill gesture.

08/03/2026: Staff inattentive to our requests, service too slow, the kidneys were dry and tasteless, no presentation on the plates, even a little salad would have been nice, really very expensive for so little, we left hungry.

05/03/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! One of the most awful restaurants I've ever been to. - They don't know how to cook meat. - And stuffed with gristle. - The vegetables are practically frozen. And I suspect their hygiene and expiration date standards are extremely questionable. Okay, I gave it one star, but it doesn't even deserve that. I was sick all night.

20/02/2026: Everything was perfect: the staff's welcome, the decor, the table setting, the meal, and... even the weather! We'll be back.
