25/06/2026: Worst caipirinha in Montpellier! I asked for it to be remade, and the extremely grumpy bartender was practically about to tell me to get lost, breathing down my neck, for a result that was just as disappointing, and I mean it… The waitress, on the other hand, was nice.

24/06/2026: A very pleasant time in a lovely setting with a great atmosphere. The team is attentive, smiling, and incredibly kind. The service is quick and the waffles are delicious! I highly recommend it 👍

27/06/2026: Snack/drinks break on the road. Lovely terrace along the river. Cardboard crepe, probably reheated from that morning (or worse). Ice cream served when sorbet was listed on the menu. The terrace is inviting, the food not.

21/06/2026: We ate at this restaurant last night. My father-in-law is from the area, and having tried all the restaurants in Laroque, he considers this the best. So, I really don't understand the previous negative reviews. First of all, the service was excellent and very fast. The staff was lovely. Our order arrived very, very quickly. We have two children, including a baby, so it's really appreciated to be served quickly, and that's exactly what happened. And what we ate was absolutely delicious. All the best to you, and thank you for a lovely evening. We'll be back!

23/01/2026: A truly fantastic bar with exceptional service! The manager is incredibly kind, always smiling, warm, and very helpful. I come regularly to pick up my packages (even the bulkiest ones, and he even helps me carry them to the car), and it's always a real pleasure to stop by. A local business just the way we like them: friendly and welcoming. Thank you for your daily kindness!

07/03/2026: One star because the coffee was good, but that's the only redeeming quality. The mussels were more shells than mussels, the "Sète platter" consisted of four measly mussels straight from a can in a glass of oil, and the tartlet was dry and empty inside. We should have checked the reviews beforehand. I hesitated between this and the penne, but judging by the neighboring table who didn't even touch it, it must have been delicious. 🤨 €80 to eat overlooking the canal, but frankly, sometimes a good old-fashioned ham and butter sandwich is better.

23/02/2026: Disappointed, a €25 set menu that's definitely not worth the price! Tourist trap! Goat's cheese salad with a tiny piece of goat cheese on a slice of over-toasted bread, and cuttlefish in a rouille sauce that tasted burnt. Don't complain if your restaurant isn't doing well; it's outrageous to rip people off like that!

14/04/2026: Hello, I came to buy some "small snacks," I wanted 8 (there were more on the tray) but apparently they only make 6 per bakery, and the saleswoman wasn't very pleasant, she seemed bothered that I took them all, but if she wanted to keep them, she shouldn't have put them up for sale. Very disappointed.

12/06/2026: This place has been declining for years. Richard's departure seems to have accelerated the decline. The food is often not worth the price, and there's no longer a menu. The same set menus are offered every week. The toilets are disgusting, and the disabled toilet door has been broken and missing for months. The service is slow, with the obligation to queue at the only till to pay because there's no card reader. There's a high turnover of servers. This location, ideally served by tram and parking, survives only thanks to its MHR (Montpellier Hérault Rugby) identity. Wake up! This is not worthy of a Top 14 club.

03/06/2026: The organization for a Champions League final before a Montpellier Hérault Rugby (MHR) match was a complete disaster. The bar was supposed to open at 5 PM but finally opened around 5:30 PM. There were only three small screens on the ground floor, and it was packed, everyone was standing, so we couldn't see a thing (all this to maximize the number of customers and therefore the revenue)... we were forced to watch the final on our phones, even though we were in a sports bar! These incompetent managers didn't even turn on the sound for the live broadcast but preferred to keep their music blasting! What a brilliant idea! In the men's restroom, only two out of five urinals were working. They clearly planned this event; it's undeniable!

11/05/2026: A very pleasant place, it's a shame the service wasn't up to par. The owner seems to have lost her tongue; no greeting, she brings the dishes with no appetite, and when we hand over the bill, not even a thank you.

14/05/2026: I went there with some apprehension given the various reviews. Indeed, the decor is a bit dated, but the food was quite good. The waiter (owner?) was very pleasant. Don't rely too much on the reviews 🙂

01/05/2026: A very disappointing experience. We thoroughly disliked our meal, both in terms of quality and service. The white wine served wasn't even chilled, and instead of offering a suitable alternative, they added ice cubes… only to charge us €20 for the bottle, which is completely unjustified given the poor quality. Another major issue: the menu listed lunch and dinner prices, with no mention of a special holiday surcharge. Yet, when the bill arrived, we were charged a higher price under the pretext that it was a holiday, without this being explained anywhere. Finally, when paying, I asked to see the total before swiping my card, which is perfectly normal. This was refused, with the only response being that I would be given the receipt later. A very unpleasant and opaque practice. In short: lack of price clarity, unprofessional service, disappointing quality. We left with a strong feeling of being ripped off and will certainly not be returning.

30/05/2026: Fantastic start to the day... exploring the village, nice atmosphere, we decided to come back for lunch. The Mother's Day menu looked tempting. The menu was different... anyway. We decided to treat ourselves since we don't eat out often. Gratinated oysters Foie gras Beef carpaccio and roasted Camembert... And in the end, for a price of 16 euros, I got one slice of foie gras with two pieces of toast. (The menu listed two slices...) The carpaccio was served without fries, even though it was listed on the menu... with fries. The waitress asked me if I wanted them... I said yes. Five minutes later, she brought them back, completely burnt! So disrespectful... we went to the bar, the owner apologized and offered me the second slice of foie gras, which I then ate with my meal. My partner, having lost his appetite, ate the rest of his meal, as he only got a handful of fries, a handful of salad, and half a Camembert... for 15 euros... Not to mention that the cook went outside to smoke a cigarette next to us on the terrace, and the waitress went to walk the dog... and when she came back (while we were still eating) asked us if we were finished... Annoyed, we didn't even try to order dessert. We just wanted to leave. Fortunately, a gesture of goodwill from "Nanny," the owner, calmed us down. So... just so you know... next time we'll try "the balcony," with its "incredible" view 🤞

23/05/2026: Service was adequate, but the meal was disappointing: overcooked and reheated fries, raw kebabs even though we asked for medium-rare...excessive price for the quality of the meal.

16/04/2026: Too long, no organization. No more 9 am breakfasts, no more crepes… the organization needs to be reviewed. Otherwise, the waiter is nice.

14/04/2026: It's dirty, noisy, and vulgar. Avoid it. One wonders how the town hall can tolerate such an image for tourists who mistakenly stumble into this dive.
