Slightly bolshy and slow but friendly service, decent food in a nice location.
Enjoy it for what it is, a place to wind away some time, have a beer, a glass of wine or a coffee while watching the world go by.

23/03/2024: Great discovery, restaurant which offers little choice, a guarantee of quality, everything is made in house. What is not homemade is notifiable.
We had the green pepper terrine as a starter. The quantity did not disappoint us! The beef was tender, the home fries cooked in duck fat were very good.
Well done to the cooks.
We enjoyed our evening in this establishment.

21/10/2025: I'm not one to give negative feedback, but sometimes you have to force yourself to do so in order to reassess yourself.
As a non-smoker, I stopped to help out and was accused of having consumed something else in addition to a pack of cigarettes because the waitress didn't understand the principle of being multi-skilled and charged me an extra fee.
FYI, before insulting your customers, invest in in-house training because I myself retrieved my receipt from the EFT and printed yours without any verification on your part. It makes you wonder if the extra charge wasn't a payment oversight.
I should point out that after this insinuation, I went there to resolve this matter (a round trip I would have preferred to have done without). No apology, the waitress handed me €5 with a "it's fine." To err is human, but this is clearly a joke (I have no other words for it) because no, it's not good; when you're in the wrong, you have the decency to admit it and apologize; it's a matter of manners. This review won't change your business, but it might help you improve the professionalism of your staff, who are lacking in certain areas.
I remind you that, not being a smoker, I don't know the price of cigarettes off by heart. However, one thing is certain: for newspapers or other types of consumption, the competition will prevail, with regret, because the owner is a welcoming person, as are the women who usually work directly in the newspaper area.
24/09/2025: We were there for two days, consumed the same amount, and on the second day, he charged us whatever he wanted, seeing as we were just passing through. I wouldn't go there again.

Everything was excellent, we had a great time and the team we dealt with was incredibly professional and kind. We are not from the area but we will stop to discover their restaurant and rediscover the flavors of their cuisine with pleasure if we pass by their place

08/12/2024: Decouverte de cette auberge dans une ambiance médiévale. Les tables sont dressées à l'ancienne et les couverts ne sont pas faciles à utiliser. Q'importe le repas était excellent. Après la découverte des créations de Léonard de Vinci nous avons eu droit au gouter de Noel car nous étions 1 groupe de 100 personnes.
30/10/2024: Excellent déjeuner dans un restaurant très agréable qui a su conserver l'originalité du lieu et qui agrémente la visite du Clos Lucé.
Des mets délicieux et originaux sont servis par un personnel très accueillant.
Je recommande vivement ce restaurant.
