21/02/2026: We wanted to experience the famous inn. Disappointment! We ordered the €28 set menu, which promised Lorraine charcoal, which we're still searching for on the board. Instead, we got a rather mediocre head cheese. A set menu with no real cooking involved, just carving, makes it expensive. The rillettes were very good as an amuse-bouche, and the petits fours were a nice touch, but they didn't make up for it. The atmosphere and service were very good, but that's not enough.

21/02/2026: I'm reliving my childhood memories with the salad, the raw vegetables, the 5-star roast potatoes (and even more if I could!), and the service is always so efficient and friendly! When I see how many people are here in this inn, I'm overjoyed. Thank you and congratulations on the magnificent sorbets and desserts!

06/05/2026: Hello! Could we have an up-to-date phone number? When I try to contact the restaurant, I'm redirected to a private number, a 06 number, and a very unpleasant and insulting person answers! This person on the phone was incredibly rude, impolite, aggressive, and contemptuous—it's shameful. I see that in 2026, respect and good manners have become a luxury, and apparently, not everyone possesses them. This is terrible publicity! A phone experience that makes me not want to visit your establishment.

04/06/2026: It is rare these days to find a really comfortable and unique place to stay. And indeed this beautiful Auberge that I found by chance, as it was half way on my route to the UK, is just that. I have returned 3 times and it remains a memorable experience. It has exquisite rooms, pleasant staff and wonderful food and wine. There is a lovely pool too. You wouldn’t know if you passed by in a car what treats lay inside for a weary traveller. Exceptional - I love staying there. Neal

30/04/2026: I'm sorry for this review, but I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. Despite being a big fan of Middle Eastern pastries, I was very unconvinced by the quality of the baklava and gazelle horns I bought. Between the kebab-box-style packaging, the dryness of the horns, and the sickening amount of glucose syrup in the baklava (which is made without filo pastry, so it's completely uncrispy), I can't find anything redeeming. Not even the price: €24 for eight small pastries. The place is nice, but it's not what I'm looking for.

10/05/2026: We had lunch here. The food was served quickly. My duck was a bit chewy so I had a bit of problem swallowing the meat. For the price I expected a better quality.

08/05/2026: An excellent dinner in Metz We had a wonderful meal at L'Assiette et le Verre. The setting is superb and the staff is very welcoming. We started with the shrimp with avocado, followed by the sea bass and the ballotine. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're ever in Metz! 23/05/2026: How could I have missed it after all these years? Being nostalgic for the old Leclerc cafeteria, I find this restaurant really great: seasonal produce, everything is delicious (especially the chicken breast taco, which is amazing!), and finally, very reasonable prices (barely ten euros!). One could perhaps criticize the limited selection at the buffet, admittedly, but at least it prevents you from leaving with a full stomach...

19/05/2026: Plenty of choice, very friendly staff, the concept is quite simple but effective: a cafeteria with well-prepared and, above all, tasty dishes at a good price. I recommend it, and I always go there with the same pleasure. I went back today, with the same pleasure, still a wide variety of choices at a good price. The service is impeccable despite the health measures. It had been a while since I'd been back to this cafeteria. I'm taking off one star, not for the website, as it hasn't changed, but more for the dishes offered, which are noticeably less good than on previous visits, and fewer choices for the unlimited side dishes. It's a shame. Furthermore, the prices have increased significantly, making it much less attractive.

06/04/2026: Good Friday spent discovering this restaurant, which had long puzzled me because of the number of cars parked out front... I understand why now. From aperitif to dessert, it was a delight. Impeccable table service, artisanal cuisine at every stage—in short, I had a wonderful time with my family 😃👍

30/04/2026: Friendly welcome, pleasant staff. That day there was no daily special (apparently the chef wasn't in the mood). The hanger steak looked suspiciously like flank steak... A half-liter of ordinary rosé wine at €18 for lunch was exorbitant. Neither here nor there.

28/04/2026: A superb discovery! Authentic and genuine cuisine, a quality meal served by the owner himself... You can go there without hesitation... a friendly welcome, you feel right at home... keep up the good work, well done!

17/05/2026: We had lunch at "Le Strasbourg" restaurant this Sunday! The decor is both charming and welcoming. The dishes are a burst of flavor, and each bite is a delightful surprise. You can tell the flavor combinations are perfectly thought out, and the presentation is equally refined. We had a dedicated and energetic waiter, and we appreciated him taking care of our table. The only downside was his colleague (probably the manager) who wasn't very welcoming… We will definitely be back to try a new menu with new flavors! Well done to the chef! 👨‍🍳

22/03/2026: We have dined at Le Strasbourg in Bitche several times, and each time every course of our meal was of exceptional quality, delighting us with the wonderful creations of the chef, who runs the hotel restaurant with his wife. The atmosphere at Le Strasbourg is sophisticated yet pleasantly relaxed and welcoming. The owner manages the service with aplomb and a good sense of humor, and for her, as for the entire staff, guest satisfaction is paramount. We hope to enjoy many more wonderful meals at Le Strasbourg.
