The atmosphere is friendly and authentic; you almost feel right at home. On the plate, everything is excellent: quality ingredients, flavorful and generous dishes, prepared with care and passion. You can taste the respect for tradition and the taste of homemade goodness. It's the perfect place to have a great time, whether with family, friends, or even for a romantic dinner for two. An address I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return!

30/04/2026: Mixed review because the portions of the appetizers (e.g., salmon dome) and desserts (e.g., crispy dessert) were far too small. The fish was okay. The meat was too sinewy. In short, we tried it but we won't be back. The service was okay.

08/05/2026: The service was perfect, but the food was a different story altogether: hair in the turbot dish, a shrimp antenna in the sweetbreads. The cooking was inconsistent. The dessert menu featured an excellent crème brûlée, a poorly balanced raspberry-pistachio entremet with very little raspberry, a Calais cake with far too much buttercream and a dry glaze, and a macaron with a Bueno spread—they could have done better. The owner offered us complimentary aperitifs. A disappointing experience.

21/04/2026: The food is good quality, no complaints about the ingredients, but unfortunately the service is practically nonexistent. A waiter who can't even remember a simple request (no honey-mustard sauce) quickly ruins the experience. Another baffling point: a croque-monsieur at the same price as a children's menu… for a far too small portion. You leave feeling unsatisfied, and not in a good way. It's a real shame, because the foundation is good. But trying to run a restaurant without mastering the basics ultimately leads to disappointment. Perhaps you should focus on what you seem to do better: a tea room.

02/05/2026: A very warm welcome and a delicious meal: homemade burger for my daughter and a full Welsh rarebit for me... a real treat and very generous portions! The host was very friendly... a restaurant worth trying!

30/04/2026: The starter was delicious but a bit dry, the main was nice but needed salt and veg, and the dessert was boring but good. The service was great, quick however he could have been more talkative, but there is a language barrier so understandable.

09/05/2026: Lovely little village restaurant. The chicken gratin with Maroilles cheese was excellent, as was the Welsh rarebit, which was also very good. A special mention for the excellent desserts! A great find.

28/02/2026: A wonderful discovery! Chicken au gratin with Maroilles cheese and Welsh rarebit—delicious!! €75 for 3 people, including aperitif, main course, and dessert. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

18/04/2026: We booked a room with two single beds for one night. The beds were quite comfortable, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were very pleasant. The only downside was the lack of a power outlet by the headboard, so you need to remember to charge your phone beforehand. I would recommend this hotel for any stay in Lens due to its proximity to the Lens2 shopping center and the city center, which is accessible by bus in 20 minutes (the bus stop is right in front of the hotel).
