16/07/2026: The service is pleasant and friendly, but it's bad. No one asks for an aperitif or coffee, and the bread is taken from other tables, so you end up with a piece that everyone else has touched. I ordered an entrecôte with Saint Marcellin sauce, but I got a steak with a sweet sauce and not a single bit of cheese. The meat was poor quality, and to top it off, the dish was cold: a complete disaster! It's a shame because the fries could have been good if they'd been hot. Would I recommend it? NO. PS: The Black Sheriff is 3 years old, not 12… At €10 for 5cl (like Madkaud), it's a real rip-off.

08/06/2026: A very warm welcome and a magnificent view of Lyon. Lunch was very good, beautifully presented. It's a shame we didn't fully understand what was being served. It's also a shame the table wasn't cleaned (bread crumbs, etc.) between courses, especially for a fine-dining restaurant. A thoughtful touch for my birthday.

19/06/2026: An average experience. Ordering just a salad and dessert with a glass of wine isn't appreciated at this restaurant; they pressured us into ordering the salad as a main course. Well, no... the salad will suffice, thank you. This has been passed around the kitchen; please be discreet, gentlemen, you are talking about customers who might potentially return. The recipe for gravlax salmon is "raw salmon fillet marinated in coarse salt, sugar, herbs, and lemon," not just ordinary smoked salmon. The same goes for the cervelle de canut; that's not what was in the salad... however, for dessert, there was a real cervelle de canut, but you took revenge with the pepper. Too bad...

20/06/2026: Very nice atmosphere and lovely terrace in a quiet neighborhood. I really enjoyed the food, which was very fresh and flavorful. The service was also really good. Super friendly and very helpful. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Lyon. Thanks to the team at Café Thomas.

15/06/2026: The true essence of a workers' cafeteria. Since I had to travel to another area, I left the city center early in the morning to arrive right at opening time. The woman in charge of pastries smiled and kindly explained everything from the restaurant's history and style to menu recommendations. I came here because I wanted to visit a place frequented only by real locals, without any foreigners. Since I live far away, I don't know when my next visit will be, but I will definitely plan a trip to Lyon just to come here. Every dish was straightforward yet truly delicious. The portions were very generous; it was difficult for two people to finish two appetizers and two main courses so early in the morning, but they were so good that we somehow managed to eat it all. Even then, what other people ordered looked incredibly appetizing. It seemed like those were the main dishes of the day. It seemed like there weren't many lunch options available at such an early hour, but I have absolutely no complaints. The mini baba and digestifs made for a perfect finish. I hope they stay in business for a long time. It's the best! 😍

20/06/2026: We came here for a meal because it wasn't far from our accommodation and there were quite a few people on the terrace. However, we were somewhat disappointed. The portions were on the small side for the price and lacked any particular flavor. The service was a bit stiff and not very friendly. The location is very good, though, and it was pleasant on the terrace.

16/01/2026: I regularly have lunch at Dadou's and am never disappointed: a very pleasant welcome, quality dishes, and the dining room is quite bright with its patio. I recommend it.
