29/08/2026: A true Lyonnais bistro, well-prepared cuisine. A really excellent meal.

29/08/2026: We were won over by the place; we ate very well. The appetizers were delicious, and for the main course, we've never tasted such good sweetbreads. Yes, there's a hefty surcharge on the menu, but frankly, it's worth the trip. The waitstaff was very professional; kudos to these two very friendly young men. If you're looking for a truly good bouchon (traditional Lyonnais restaurant), don't hesitate to stop by Comptoir Chabert.

05/10/2026: First of all, it's a fairly small place, very warm and welcoming, with truly excellent service. The server who looked after us had the approach of a sommelier, yet remained very down-to-earth and approachable. He took the time to chat with us, offer advice, and explain things. Really lovely. The food was excellent. And when I say excellent, I mean it. I particularly recommend the mushrooms. It's not necessarily the dish you'd expect, but we're still talking about them because they were so well done. Simply perfect. Overall, especially for the price, I felt we got to try a lot of different things. Everything was fresh, original, and very well executed. The ceviche was also excellent. The wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. The only minor point I could mention concerns the Margarita, which I found a little too sweet. It could have used a bit more character, more tequila, and perhaps a touch more salt. But that's really a minor point. We had a great time. The concept is interesting, the atmosphere pleasant, and we'll definitely be back. Special mention also goes to the meat in the arepa, lightly smoked and absolutely delicious.

30/08/2026: Very disappointing, especially for regular customers. We've been to this restaurant several times and had never had a problem until now. This time, a misunderstanding started with a simple joke, which the owner clearly didn't understand. We explained to him clearly that we were joking and that our comment wasn't meant to be malicious. Despite our explanations, instead of moving on, he kept pushing the issue, unnecessarily escalating the situation, even resorting to insulting language. We can understand that a joke might not be appreciated, but when customers explain that they were just joking, the least one can do is let it go and remain calm. As regular customers, we are particularly disappointed by this attitude. Respect should be a two-way street. For our part, this experience has definitively changed our opinion of this establishment, and we will not be returning.

23/10/2026: On the recommendation of a guidebook, we had lunch at this bistro-style restaurant with an open kitchen. A warm welcome, simple yet beautifully presented cuisine featuring well-cooked, simple ingredients, all delicious and attractively plated. Lunch menu €27 (starter, main course, dessert). Extensive wine list available! Some wines are served by the glass. Excellent value for money, very good, simple and efficient.

27/09/2026: It definitely requires a budget! But here, there's absolutely no disappointment when a fabulous meal comes to an end. The staff is incredibly attentive and pleasant, without any fuss, making it the perfect setting for an occasion that deserves a little extravagance.

A charming setting, full of character, where you immediately feel at ease. Seduced by the atmosphere and a menu showcasing the great Lyonnaise specialties, we naturally decided to extend the experience at our table. And what a lovely surprise! 😍 A huge thank you to the owner for her warm welcome, her kindness, and her hospitality, as well as to Mehdi, our waiter, who truly made our lunch shine! With his infectious energy, his humor, his respect, and his remarkable sense of service, he created an incredible atmosphere within our small group. A true ray of sunshine, just like the restaurant's name! ☀️ We thoroughly enjoyed discovering and tasting Lyon's specialties in a spirit of sharing, good humor, and conviviality. 08/10/2026: Such a cute place. I’m coeliac and the waiter had no issue with it, made the sweet crepe (lemon and sugar) gluten free for me. My friend had a gallette and it was all really nice.
