You do not need to rent a car and drive to the Rhône Valley. I recommend making a reservation through the WhatsApp number listed. Christopher is a wine professional with a great sense of humor. We learned so much about wine. 😍😍😍

03/08/2026: We stumbled onto La Mère Cottivet at an awkward hour, when most places were closing up and we just wanted a light lunch. We were welcomed with open arms. The service was genuinely wonderful; they invited us to taste a few wines before we even chose what to order, which set the tone for the whole meal. I had the La Merière aux fromages, a cheese plate that was fantastic, and my husband loved his steak tartare. We couldn't resist finishing with both a crème brûlée and ice cream with liqueur, no regrets. The space itself is quiet and eclectically decorated, with a wonderfully witty name to match its personality. My husband speaks French but I don't, and I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place, just genuinely welcomed. We'll absolutely be back, and I'd recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lyon.

We met the wonderful duo Clément and Marie, who gave us a warm welcome, offered helpful advice, and made us feel like right at home. In addition to their original and high-quality cocktails—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—they are always incredibly attentive! They spontaneously offer a small misting spray and a fan to every customer. And they always have a smile on their face. Thank you so much, and... see you soon! 😁

08/08/2026: Passing through Notre-Dame de Fourvière, but more inclined to explore the numerous Roman ruins, and seeing the Museum closed for the week, we decided to take a break for coffee and soak up the atmosphere of "La Petite Table des Nuits." We were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and cheerful, the smiles radiant, and the environment peaceful and unique, steeped in over two thousand years of history, from the Celts to the Romans and finally the Christians, each of whom, in their own way, made this place so venerable. The coffee was delicious, enjoyed under a leafy pergola at the end of service, allowing us ample time to appreciate this magnificent setting and share in the special ambiance that pervades "La Petite Table des Nuits," which harmonizes so beautifully and perfectly with what the Body, Heart, Soul, and Spirit so intensely seek.

05/08/2026: We are very disappointed by your lack of professionalism. We had booked a table for August 7, 2026 (with a booking confirmation!). When we visited the website on August 5, we learned that you are on annual leave, yet we received no notification from you! This is very regrettable, especially since we were only two days away from arriving in Lyon. This has never happened to us before, and it shows a lack of respect on your part.

12/08/2026: Pleasantly surprised. I've always been apprehensive about eating Lyonnaise cuisine because I know there's quite a bit of offal involved. But in the end, I chose the cheapest set menu, and it was fine... the andouillette sausage was a bit cloying at one point, but still tasty. On the other hand, the plum "tart" wasn't anything special in terms of taste, and the presentation could be improved. Quick update August 2026: I went there 10 days ago in the evening. There were about ten of us, and I ordered the octopus with chorizo ​​sauce (the combination wasn't my favorite), but I went along with the group and ended up being pleasantly surprised—it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I had a caramelized apricot panna cotta: a delight! Special mention to the waiter, who was smiling and very professional, which I find rare in Lyonnaise restaurants. Well done, young man! We'll be back.

14/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Le Fav! It felt like we were on holiday in Lyon! The sommelier and the waitstaff were very welcoming and offered excellent advice. We had a truffle croque monsieur and a filet mignon, which were a delight for our taste buds, paired with a blonde beer with a twist of lime. We'll be back to enjoy another Chartreuse! See you soon!

12/07/2026: First time at Bouillon for me and my partner. It's definitely worth the money, given the very affordable price. The fries were pretty good, the meat was decent but not very flavorful, the pea soup was quite good (as was the chocolate raspberry fondant), but the avocado and shrimp dish was questionable and the rosé wine jug clearly hadn't been washed...

28/08/2026: I don't go to restaurants anymore because I'm fed up with paying €60 for undercooked food and leaving hungry. Here, all the dishes were delicious, the service was quick, and the portions were generous—nothing more to say. Well done!

16/08/2026: How lucky we were to stumble into le p’tit vert on a very hot day in August. As tourists in Lyon one can often feel like an inconvenience for restaurateurs, but the charming staff and owners here gave us a taste of the local experience. Everything from the Frâicheur salad to the citron givré was beautiful. A lovely place.
