26/06/2025: I was staying at a nearby farm with a host who wanted to show me local food, but things were generally closed because there were no tourists. He took me here and I had one of the best meals of my entire month in France. Small community where the locals know each other, and they were in league to load me up with fondue, wine, and génépi. I bet after a day of skiing I would've fallen asleep on the table. As it was, I needed to hang on extra tight on the moto ride home.

06/02/2025: A ritual for us, each year the fondue is unmissable. Local atmosphere always pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend.

11/01/2025: Very noisy establishment when we visited on Friday night, we had young kids with us so not the best venue for us! The starters were lovely, my husbands steak was very tough and not nice, mine was good, chips first class, others a bi hit and miss Glasses on table were not nice cheap so not the best for drinking wine and my Campari was weak! We didn’t bother with desserts as to noisy

18/09/2024: A great discovery to make and repeat. We had not booked and were expecting 2 late skiers, yet the team welcomed us with a smile, with all sympathy and with a lot of patience. The savory pancakes that we tasted were delicious accompanied by hot cider, the addition was light. Don't hesitate to reserve a table there (it's better because it's always full).🤩🤩🤩

12/09/2024: My children and I have arrived. We took a table. . A waiter says hello to us and continues to serve around us. After 20 minutes no one served us. A waitress comes to see us and asks us who placed us at this table? (knowing that she had passed in front of us at least 10 times). I explain to him. She told me “we are the ones who place people. It's 6 p.m. we are closing this evening we ask you to leave!!!! » A shame, especially since his colleague was still serving and the terrace was full! We will not advertise to you! I won't come back!

06/04/2025: First the negative things: I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside. Positive things: The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too. They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!

23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

08/09/2024: Weekend in Val d'Isère at the hotel of the same name. A short tour of the city for dinner, we were recommended this establishment with its nice decor and equally friendly waiter. We chose a Burger and a medium steak. These two dishes were edible with very poor value for money. At first glance, the dish seems appetizing, one might have believed it given the price (31 euros), but we were far from it. Entrecôte overcooked, too hard (photo) half remained on the plate. Ok we are in Val d'Isère, OK it was practically the only restaurant open, OK the customers are 95% passing through and who like me are perhaps ready to pay the price... But at least it has to be worth it. I was disappointed with this experience...

05/12/2024: The dough for the pancakes is tasteless and the ingredients are extremely salty, which was also the case for the pancake of the person who accompanied me, although different. It's astonishing. The cider is average. The prices are excessive. It's a shame because the place is nice.

12/09/2024: Lunch at the Table du Berger, very good experience, the service is good despite a large crowd and small staff. One person in the dining room and one in the kitchen. The dishes are varied and offer what one would expect from a restaurant in Beaufortain. Fondue, diots, polenta, tartiflette... Good exchange with the staff at the end of the service, more relaxed. The small room (cellar), soberly decorated, is a little noisy when we all start chatting. I recommend.

We've been coming here for the past four years, and we discovered this restaurant by chance, and it became our favorite restaurant every time we came here on vacation. It's a shame all the good little restaurants are closing, and we are saddened.
