31/03/2024: nous sommes allés fêter la fin de nos vacances en famille (à 6) pour manger une fondue. N'allez surtout pas dans ce restaurant. Unanimement, le pire de toute notre vie. Rien n'allait. ni le repas, ni le vin. Avant de commencer notre repas, nous n'avions déjà plus faim. La charcuterie est probablement congelée. En tout cas, pas de la charcuterie artisanale du bon boucher charcutier d'en face dans la rue. Ni du bon fromager d'en face. Que dire du pain, pour la fondue? Du pain blanc rassis et decongelé. à moitié mou. Mon fils est même tombé sur des faux croutons moisi. BREF, un lieu à fuir. Le seul bénéfice de cette mauvaise expérience a été de bien rire de tout cela en famille, mais certainement pas de bien manger

22/03/2024: Les serveurs se sont trompés de métier, pas de politesse, limite on les agace. Le vin en pichet coupé à l’eau… Ketchup périmé… Le temps d’attente pour commander et être servi est énorme alors que le restaurant n’était même pas à moitié plein.

07/04/2024: As a long-time skier in Plagne. Impossible!! that you get a place at the beginning of April 2024 and then before receiving your order!! have to pay. A reception service that was subpar, but due to meetings of a group of 12, the location could no longer be changed. More expensive than other huts, the boss guy on the wooden terrace is unfriendly or unbearable. As always a beautiful valley but avoid this staff and hut.

06/04/2024: Change of rules for happy hours not very cool. In December/January, hot drinks (chocolates, mulled wine) were part of the 50% off drinks from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In April, this is no longer the case, with the addition of a disparaging remark from the server when asked why this change! So avoid for the future.

07/09/2024: Super accueil ,même avec des chiens. et des plats du terroir divinement bon nous recommandons le Farcon d antan ......le REGAL vaut le détour .....

28/08/2024: I am frankly surprised to see some negative reviews which are absolutely undeserved. We went there without a reservation yesterday afternoon. My daughter wanted to eat a good raclette. Our request was accepted without any problem. Our waitress was alone but very present, the raclette was super good and not too long of a wait despite the number of tables to serve for one person alone. Not having finished our cold cuts, we were able to take it home to make our sandwiches today, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you for the welcome and the quality of the products.

03/08/2024: Très bon accueil, une adaptation très sympathique de plat du nord et de la Belgique avec les produits locaux . Une bonne cuisine, un tarif honnête une bonne bière. Nous reviendrons...

23/07/2024: discrètement ouvert en bas de la station de la toussuire, c'est un bon endroit pour les gourmands & les fans de bouffe savoyarde. l'accueil est très spontané, les bières sont bien servis. Les digestifs sont sympas. c'est un plaisir d'y passer une soirée, la bouffe est locale, bien savoureuse, bien copieuse. Je survalide ! Attention, la torpille est costaude..

02/09/2024: Very well located we went for snack with our children. At the end of the season, many things are missing, even the waffles... But above all, we were served fruit juices that had expired for more than 2 years! 😱😱 And yes June 2022....but if it is consumed preferably that's a lot... Simple apology by stating that I received these drinks at the start of the season! The second fruit juice expired since June 2024. Totally disappointed. To flee! Inadmissible for professionals. I have my credit card receipt to prove it if you doubt it! You don't even remember it even though it was last week??? It's alarming in this case... This is not denigration sir but unfortunately the reality. For my part, the hygiene services were notified. I'm not saying see you soon. Sincerely

23/08/2024: Made us pay for 2 drinks to refill our water bottle. Limit for the only bar at 2700m

03/08/2024: We took a break at lunchtime after getting off the bike park, my partner being allergic to celery, we had to ask the boss to make a Niçoise salad again and when I added the bill I discovered that the Mr charged us for the two salads. I find this anything but professional. The tourist is a real cash cow and I find that a shame.

15/08/2024: Nous avons réservé pour dîner avec des amis nous sommes arrivé en retard. Nous avons tout de même été très bien accueilli. Le personnel est très agréable, la cuisine est bonne. Nous avons été deux fois dans cet endroit et avons apprécié. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

18/09/2024: Very good cuisine. Recommended for the lake perch! Perhaps missing a bit of music for ambiance. The view of the lake with large bay windows even behind the room is magnificent!

18/08/2024: good dish but insufficient quantity for a person of average size: a spoonful of rice and a potato cut in half on the plate, as a starch, is a little tight for €28. However, the perch fiets were very good with the aioli which goes well. In fact, we have the impression of paying for the view which is very beautiful, we must admit.

06/02/2026: For several days, my husband, having read the few reviews on this site, had been urging me to have lunch at Les Clarines. I'm always a bit hesitant about these reviews. But I must admit that I don't regret last Thursday's experience at all. A charming welcome, a very varied menu with what I love most: lots of vegetables. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and were incredibly flavorful, both in the appetizer and the main course—a pure delight. And the icing on the cake (literally!) was a generous, indulgent, and beautifully presented dessert. All served in a charming setting. Thank you to the chef, who must be kept very busy, and to the owner, who is so attentive to the customers with great tact. A wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

13/06/2024: ⚠️⚠️Scam⚠️⚠️ The Chalet du Caron to post in his story insisting people to do trafficking but big scam! Pay attention ! I'm going to go to the post office today to file a complaint, and come back this winter to sort it out! I'm going to warn all the restaurateurs in Valtho to finally take care of yourself.

19/08/2025: Great! The food is high quality and the portions are generous!! It's hard to find kebabs this good in the area!! The service is efficient and fast!! I recommend it 100%

22/08/2024: Pulled pork burger at the top! Good quality matured meat (rare in restaurants) Original menu in salty and ice cream. Reasonable price and very good value for money.
