14/02/2026: Excellent little restaurant! We ate there on a whim while visiting the city before moving here—a real culinary journey with superb flavors. We went back again after moving in, and found the same delicious flavors and the same pleasure. Chef Paul is very pleasant and has a great sense of humor. We love knowing we have such a good restaurant close to home. Going there means you'll want to go back.

22/02/2026: Very warm welcome, friendly waitress, but unfortunately very disappointed. The scallop gratin is to be avoided; it's not scallops but ordinary clams fighting each other in the dish, no bigger than ten-cent euro coins. For me, this is deception. Bad rating for this dish.

21/02/2026: Great restaurant. If you're a meat lover, this is the place to be. A very good choice if you go. The waitresses are very pleasant and attentive. They have an excellent selection of meat. You won't regret it.

19/01/2026: We hadn't been to this establishment for a year or two, and we were very disappointed by the food and by the surprise: we asked for a slice of lemon, and it cost us €0.50. Okay, it's not much, but it's a bit like being charged for bread, especially since, given the price of a liter of sparkling water, I don't think a slice of lemon would have bankrupted them... Especially since the waitress gave me a different brand than the one I ordered, but I was cool and said it wasn't a big deal... EDIT: To answer your question, we came last September, and if I tell you that I asked for one slice of lemon, that they brought me three which were sent back, and that I was charged €0.50, that's the truth. Honestly, I'm not 25, we go to a restaurant every Saturday night, and I wouldn't have had the imagination to come up with that. What would be the point, anyway? In your till, you must have a button that says "Lemon slice €0.50," since it was clearly stated on the bill. Too bad, I think I threw the bill away recently.

03/03/2026: A truly excellent restaurant in this family-run establishment in the heart of a listed village. Authentic French gastronomy is the focus! The presentation is meticulous, the flavors and freshness of the ingredients are evident in every dish. There's also a fine wine list. The service and atmosphere are very pleasant. The value for money is more than reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

02/03/2026: Let's start with the positives, since the intention is there. The children's menu is decent for the price, not amazing, but standard. The three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at around €40 is a formula many will want to try in Provence, especially if they want to avoid the tourist traps in the village center. The menu, in keeping with the Provençal spirit, offers dishes that, on paper, make you want to travel (cod, beef cheek, lavender crème brûlée, etc.). And then there are the thoughtful touches: a complimentary toast to start the culinary journey—a nice touch—even if, admittedly, the quantity is modest (it's more of an amuse-bouche). (Honestly: too little toast to truly deliver on the promise of an aperitif.) What's a bit lacking? • The portions: they seem rather small. • The service: sometimes a bit disorganized, as if the team were still working out their own script. • The menu: attractive but unclear, sometimes giving the impression of flipping through a menu without a clear direction. The outdoor terrace—promising a sunny lunch under the trees—is undoubtedly one of the place's strong points. It's a shame the weather didn't cooperate during our visit. In the future, it's best to plan ahead and make a reservation if you want to guarantee a table outside, as word-of-mouth continues to spread in the village. In summary: 👉 A charming spot, worth a visit for its setting and Provençal ambiance. 👉 Good culinary intentions, but sometimes hesitant service and portions that leave you wanting more. 👉 Areas for improvement: a clearer menu and more generous portions. In short, we're eager for more... but we're still hesitating a bit before embarking on a second act.

01/03/2026: My wife and I just had lunch there this Sunday, and we really enjoyed the welcome (very friendly and pleasant), our meal which was delicious, but especially the thoughtful touches they gave our dog (water bowl, treats, and a mat). We highly recommend it.

30/01/2026: A snack break at Confiserie Clavel Serge. The place is clean and pleasant, the staff are friendly, and the service is quick—no complaints there. The selection is generous: waffles, ice cream, cookies, sweets… it's hard to resist. I had two waffles: very good, really, but served almost cold. Let's just say they were more like a memory than fresh from the waffle iron 😅 A shame, because they would have been perfect warm—and I definitely prefer them that way. Despite this minor temperature issue, it's a nice place for a sweet treat in Carpentras.

Eating well at a very competitive price in a welcoming atmosphere is clearly the guiding principle of this aptly named restaurant!

07/02/2026: Today, February 7, 2026, is our most beautiful day 💞 Our Wedding 💞💖 Chef Clément and his wife Émilie poured their hearts into preparing the meal. They paid such thoughtful attention to the bride and groom's table, right down to the personalized menus. The flavors and taste of every dish were absolutely superb; Provence truly shone. A special mention goes to the wedding cake, prepared by Chef Clément especially for the event. A warm welcome and the down-to-earth nature of Clément and Émilie delighted all our guests, reflecting the essence of their restaurant. Our guests were captivated and absolutely thrilled. We highly recommend Restaurant L'Ardoise in Mazan City Village. A huge thank you to you both! 🙏

20/01/2026: What a great place!! Our first day in France and not good at speaking French but they were lovely and patient. They understood enough English to help with ordering and even had a laugh with us about our poor attempt at French. Food was excellent. Great value! Free Limoncello after our meal. We leave Avignon tomorrow morning but if we ever come back we’ll be straight here! Highly recommend!!

09/01/2026: I discovered this lovely restaurant for the first time at the end of December with my girlfriend. The setting is magnificent, the welcome was simply excellent, and the meal was truly delicious; it easily deserves a rating above 4/5.
