10/09/2026: Probably one of the best restaurants in the world in the €30-€50 price range. Simple but very good, warm, and with excellent service. It's exactly what a restaurant should be.

26/06/2026: We enjoyed a beautiful meal at L’Oustalet in the heart of Gigondas. Amazing food sourced from this very beautiful area. And perfect wine matching by the sommelier. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the friendly and attentive wait staff and highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you are in the area.

19/06/2026: This is a delightful restaurant and it was our 3rd visit over the last few years. The setting whether inside or out is beautiful and relaxing. The food itself is superb and worthy of the awards it has. We had the 5 course tasting and were very happy with everything it included. Many highlights but the fish and sweetbread courses were superb. The wine list is fantastic but on this occasion we went for the pairing. This was excellent value at €90 for 5 wines, including a couple of CdP’s. Each one of them was brilliantly paired and the sommelier happy to talk through his thinking around the choices. Service friendly and relaxed. All in all a top evening.

21/09/2026: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during my 3-night stay in Avignon. The service was excellent, and the sauces, the cooking of the vegetables, and the taste of the meat were all incredibly delicious. It was the best main course I had during my entire 7-night trip. I would love to try other dishes, but it’s a shame I’m leaving tomorrow. I’ll definitely come back if I visit Avignon again 💕

The dishes were expressive, powerful, flavorful, and generous. The wine pairings were harmonious. A truly delightful experience. 19/10/2026: I have eaten here a number of times in the last 12 years and every time it has been extremely good. Most recently we were a party of six, for a family occasion, for lunch on Monday. Food is extremely good (look at the menu and gallery and you'll see), and what is particularly lovely is the location and feel of the whole place. This is all managed by an extremely professional and friendly team of staff. The sommelier and cartes des vins (one for red, one for white wine) deserve a special mention! 20/20.

23/09/2026: I visited Bistrot de Lagarde with my mother and dog, enjoying the sun-drenched terrace. After a very warm welcome, we were seated and promptly received our Americanos as aperitifs, along with amuse-bouches. Both were delicious and whetted our appetites for the appetizers: pumpkin soup with mussels and, on the one hand, leek sticks with Grana Padano cream and saffron. Both appetizers were perfectly balanced and refined in both flavor and presentation. For our main courses, we both ordered the faux fillets, followed by the cheese platter for dessert. Both the main course and dessert delighted our palates, accompanied by a glass of rosé or red wine from the region. We were richly rewarded with both the food and the ambiance and will gladly return soon. Thank you for this exceptional experience.

17/08/2026: A very pleasant surprise! We booked out of curiosity while passing through Avignon. The place is extremely original and elegant, just like the cuisine. The menu is surprising yet harmonious thanks to the delicate and subtle flavor combinations. We highly recommend this experience.

11/10/2026: Welcoming place, extremely friendly staff, and an exceptional 4+1 course tasting menu. The combination of flavors was nothing short of heavenly. We left the restaurant full, given the generous portions. The staff, despite the language barrier, explained the menu to us in English at every turn and always made sure we were having a great evening. It's definitely a place we'll return to and one I highly recommend to anyone in Avignon. Congratulations!!!

24/09/2026: After a hike up Mont Ventoux, I'd spotted this place on the way up. I called a bit late, but the phone reception was warm and they informed me that it was possible to arrive until 9:15 pm—a pleasant surprise. We arrived around 9 pm, and the welcome in person was just as good as the phone reception. Despite our slightly late arrival in September, we were very well served and given excellent advice. They gave us our time. I ordered a very fresh and flavorful sashimi salad; the raw fish was of exceptional quality. My partner ordered a tasting platter with California rolls and sushi, and again, the quality was outstanding. We each had dessert, both delicious: matcha green tea and peach tiramisu and pavlova. The bill came to €64 for two, which is very reasonable considering the quality of the service and the meal. Thank you for this discovery; it was our first time dining at your restaurant, but we will definitely be back.
