26/06/2026: We enjoyed a beautiful meal at L’Oustalet in the heart of Gigondas. Amazing food sourced from this very beautiful area. And perfect wine matching by the sommelier. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the friendly and attentive wait staff and highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you are in the area.

19/06/2026: This is a delightful restaurant and it was our 3rd visit over the last few years. The setting whether inside or out is beautiful and relaxing. The food itself is superb and worthy of the awards it has. We had the 5 course tasting and were very happy with everything it included. Many highlights but the fish and sweetbread courses were superb. The wine list is fantastic but on this occasion we went for the pairing. This was excellent value at €90 for 5 wines, including a couple of CdP’s. Each one of them was brilliantly paired and the sommelier happy to talk through his thinking around the choices. Service friendly and relaxed. All in all a top evening.

18/08/2026: We as customers take our time to check out restaurants on Google. Then you get there just to find out that they haven't updated their opening hours. How difficult can that be? My suggestion in that case is to not even have a presence on Google Maps.

05/08/2026: Quiet restaurant tucked away in the town of Avignon. We sat outside which was a bit hot. Food was amazing, especially the Daube Avignonnaise which is what we came to town for. It did not disappoint. The escargots were also really good. Service was great!

11/09/2026: One evening in September during our stay in the Luberon, our hosts recommended several restaurants, and we chose L'ARDOISE in Mazan. We discovered a very pleasant and very clean place (we are also very particular about cleanliness). 👍 Of course, we received a very warm welcome, and our meal was excellent. Thank you to the chef! 👍 The menu had only 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts, just the way we like it. We will definitely be writing a review so our hosts can recommend this restaurant. 30/08/2026: Restaurant located within the walled city of Avignon, about 500 meters from the Palace of the Popes. Service was on the terrace as there was no air conditioning. The waiter was very attentive, and despite being Spanish, we were able to communicate in English and French. We ordered the set menu, which includes a starter, main course, and dessert for 39 euros. The St. Jacques coquilles are highly recommended as a starter; they were excellent. For our main courses, we ordered braised pork cheeks and a quenelle of fish, both delicious. The desserts, both the profiterole and the rum baba (with the option to customize the rum to your liking), were generous and also very good. The price is perfectly reasonable for what is offered: homemade and tasty food. Highly recommended.

30/08/2026: Finally, a restaurant where you leave thinking, "Yes, here, the price is truly justified by what's on your plate." In a time when restaurants have become very expensive, especially in Provence, sometimes for disappointing quality, it's a real pleasure to discover a place like this. Here, everything is homemade and truly cooked. From the aperitif onwards, we were offered amuse-bouches prepared on-site, followed by an amuse-bouche before the starter. The dishes are carefully prepared, beautifully presented, but without being over the top: refined cuisine, full of flavor, and above all, perfectly balanced. The wine list is also quite reasonable, and the price-to-quality ratio is truly excellent. The restaurant is run by Lorenzo and Penelope, a young couple who work together: he's in the kitchen, she's in the dining room. The welcome is warm, friendly, and attentive—exactly as it should be. And being able to chat with Lorenzo for a few minutes at the end of service allows you to discover people passionate about their work, which is evident in the food. The setting, in the heart of the countryside and surrounded by nature, is also very pleasant. This was our second visit, three years after our first, and we found the same quality and the same enjoyment. A genuine establishment, authentic cuisine, and a passionate team: it's truly delightful, and rare enough these days to deserve to be highlighted.

17/08/2026: A very pleasant surprise! We booked out of curiosity while passing through Avignon. The place is extremely original and elegant, just like the cuisine. The menu is surprising yet harmonious thanks to the delicate and subtle flavor combinations. We highly recommend this experience.

08/09/2026: What a joy it is to return to L'Amphore every time. The owners are delightful, and their food is excellent. New flavors are always on offer each week, and the reaction is always the same with the first bite: eyes wide with wonder at how delicious and flavorful it is. From the appetizers to the desserts, including the bread and the little biscuits that accompany your coffee, everything is homemade, prepared with care and care. A real treat! We will definitely return, always with the same pleasure.

12/09/2026: The mediocre food unfortunately did not make up for the staff's total lack of interest in our table. We had reserved for 1:00 PM and our amuse-bouche arrived at 2:25 PM. Moreover, it was not overly busy and there was plenty of staff walking around. Furthermore, the sommelier felt the need to laugh at us while we asked a not-so-stupid question. We are not wine novices. Not a pleasant dining experience for me, a waste of money.

16/08/2026: The food was exceptional, truly exceeding our expectations; we had already visited in May. However, what a shame about the welcome and reception, which were particularly cold. Not a single smile. We simply wanted to enjoy this fabulous meal in pleasant conditions, without being bothered by mosquitoes. Unfortunately, no solution was offered, other than the use of mosquito repellent spray during service. We thought we would be eating inside, as in most restaurants; we ourselves live 5km away and also have mosquitoes. Our request was refused, with the same reception as upon arrival. It's impossible to remain seated throughout the meal with someone who spoke to us in such a curt manner. A rather disappointing experience considering the quality of the food. Following this reception, we will not be returning to this establishment.
