06/06/2026: The reception was very friendly. We had a room in the rear (newer) part of the building on the first floor. The room was quiet, and you could even sleep with the window open. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is well located for exploring the city, and parking is no problem. Breakfast is simple, but everything is available and is constantly replenished. Unfortunately, our room wasn't completely clean. There were still visible crumbs on the floor, and hair and glass/cup rings on the white table. The sliding door in the bathroom is a good, space-saving idea in principle, but the execution is flawed. You have to slide the door directly across the carpet, which makes it very difficult to open and close. It also sticks out significantly from the wall, creating a large gap, which somewhat compromises privacy when using the toilet. However, the room was still okay for one night.

04/06/2026: I recommend this establishment. The staff is welcoming and professional. Everything was perfect until the owner arrived to take our payment. He was very unpleasant because we had booked through Smartbox. He claimed he had fed us for free and therefore lost money. Simply withdraw from the system and you won't fill your establishment anymore.

The restaurant decor is rather cold...you don't want to linger, no atmosphere or warmth. It's not the same as when we were used to the previous owners, but the food is good, which is the main thing.

30/06/2026: I stopped at this rest area for McDonald's, and to my surprise, it was closed at 10:15 PM. Honestly, it's ridiculous! What's the point of being at a motorway rest area if it's going to close so early? Otherwise, the rest area itself was nice; the gentleman who served us was very friendly.

23/06/2026: As a hot chocolate lover, Paul stores are my favorite. Their hot chocolate is smooth and flavorful, even a little too chocolatey. It's best to ask them to add a little milk because otherwise it's like drinking melted chocolate 😋

03/06/2026: A warm welcome, delicious and generous seasonal dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you're passing through Tonnerre, don't hesitate! Be warned, though, the house cocktail—cherry cream, ratafia, and crémant—is as delicious as it is potent. After that, you'll see life in color, even if the weather is gray and the road winds even if it's straight... I highly recommend it.

15/12/2025: This Léon de Bruxelles in the northern part of Auxerre is typical of the chain: you go there without any surprises, but you know you'll get a decent meal. The menu is, of course, focused on seafood, but offers a few options if you don't like fish. I tried the Léon Casserole, which was good, although the amount of fish was a bit small and probably frozen. Be careful with the garnish: although it says sweet potatoes, it's mostly potatoes (about 80%). The paella was okay, but it's more of a French-style paella, nothing exceptional, and the rice used isn't ideal for this dish. Note that the drinks are quite expensive. Overall: It's a reliable restaurant for a quick meal if you're not looking for anything original. A decent choice.

They made our planning so much easier; they guided us with kindness and flexibility to ensure everything went exactly as we envisioned. 14/06/2026: Great accommodation! The staff is very welcoming. The meal was expensive for the average quality.

08/06/2026: The room was small and not very clean (the carpet was awful), but the bathroom was the only slightly positive surprise – almost clean, functional and modern. The furnishings were minimal, and the only armoire was practically falling apart. The whole place seemed run down, with untended woodwork and a messy courtyard. Breakfast was 12€ for a basic buffet, and dinner was a disaster – a small salad and a main course that felt like school cafeteria food (and was served cold, then reheated). It definitely wasn't worth 34€, and one of us even got sick afterward. The Wi-Fi was limited, so we just used our phones. Staff was friendly. Not worth staying here and definitely not worth the price! The 114€ a night, 34€ for a terrible dinner, and 12€ for a minimalist breakfast felt heavily overcharged.

28/03/2026: It's a very nice and good restaurant. The welcome is incredibly warm. The decor is modern, a refreshing change from other restaurants in town. This restaurant is well worth the trip. And the food is delicious! A bonus: parking spaces right in front. Perfect!
