05/07/2026: Good restaurant, good food, good atmosphere. It's a shame we had the unpleasant surprise of being charged an extra €13 per person for the live music without being informed before the bill. We had made a reservation, and there was no mention of this extra charge at reception or when we booked.

13/05/2026: A few years ago, this was a truly wonderful place. Today, it's clear they've lost their way and don't know how to retain their clientele. There's no consistency in their menu. I think they're completely off track with their culinary approach. Go back to good, healthy, classic food. It's a shame they don't restore the waterwheels.

18/07/2026: Too bad. I wanted to go on Saturday in June, and I just learned it's closed too, following the article in L'Yonne Républicaine and on France Bleu. It's closed due to health and safety reasons. (Comment posted in June 2026)

23/06/2026: What was bound to happen happened...well done to "Petit futé" as if...very reliable reference 😅 this establishment has just been administratively closed due to cockroaches and serious breaches of food hygiene standards.

14/05/2026: I stumbled upon this lovely place. I ordered a burger! Wow! Absolutely fantastic! A must-visit!

30/03/2026: I was quite surprised to walk into this bar and find a huge Confederate flag. The "Texas" decor in a bar in Burgundy is one thing, but not the flag. In case you didn't know, it's the flag of the Confederate States during the American Civil War, states that united the slave-owning, white supremacist South. We find it rather problematic to display that. Otherwise, the service was fine.

27/08/2026: Tasteless, frozen food and low-quality meat... I won't even mention the service... the owner is completely passive and uninformed about her products. Just buy a sandwich and you'll save money.

23/08/2026: The price was reasonable for a tourist village. The food was decent, but nothing special. The pie was good, but my fish was overcooked. The beef bourguignon was good. I didn't like the pastry on the apple tart. Some of the staff are a bit odd, and there seem to be some communication issues between the chef and the waitresses. The wine was good and reasonably priced. The terrace is pleasant.

From the moment you arrive, David, the owner, greets you with a genuine smile and great kindness. His sense of hospitality makes all the difference and fully contributes to the pleasure of stopping at this establishment. Here, conviviality isn't just a slogan, it's a true state of mind. Whether you're just passing through or a local, L’Eko is an excellent place to share a good meal or simply take a break in a warm atmosphere. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by. 26/08/2026: I first went to this establishment three years ago; the waiter was unpleasant and smelled bad. I went back twice in July 2025, as it was the only café open at 10:00 PM. The first time, I asked the waiter to clean the table, which he didn't do spontaneously. He scolded me three times for asking. He wasn't polite. The second time, I went back and asked for the menu so I could choose my drink and, more importantly, see the prices. The waitress or owner told me she didn't have a menu, that the prices were displayed inside, and that I should just get up. Both times, I was seated on the terrace; the staff never came to greet us, but instead spent a lot of time chatting with their friends.

19/03/2026: Hello, I spent one night in this hotel and I would avoid it. The reception was friendly, but the room was appalling: completely unsanitary, with moldy windows, mildew, and other issues, stains on the carpet, a cracked bathroom ceiling, mediocre cleaning, and the bed linens weren't hypoallergenic. It was for a business trip, so one night is acceptable, but I find it expensive for what it is, considering the renovations they need to do.

09/03/2026: Overall, a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (at least those on the 5th floor) thanks to the terrace, and the breakfasts are plentiful and varied. However, if you're in room 500 like me, bring earplugs because the elevator machinery is right on the other side of the bathroom. Get ready for a lot of noise every time someone operates the elevator.

15/08/2026: A good, quiet, and well-located hotel. The rooms are simple but do the job. The staff is attentive and quick to respond to any issues. The breakfast is very good. Air conditioning would be a plus in some of the rooms (upstairs). I recommend it.

The cost for two rather small portions with two Vittel beers was €44.80. THE STAFF, ON THE OTHER HAND, WAS VERY NICE... HENCE THE TWO STARS! Drive on!

15/05/2026: A very pleasant welcome. A lovely, generous sharing platter. Unlimited calf's head. Personally, I found the sauce barely seasoned and a bit bland, but overall it was good. The fried small fish was excellent. My only complaint is the frozen and microwaved dessert – it was too ordinary. A homemade tarte tatin is so much better! I'll definitely go back; we had a great time.

11/04/2026: I'm giving it one star because I can't give less. Very disappointed. The mojito was awful, the whisky was dry and watery with ice cubes, three salad leaves cost €2, and the fried smelt was inedible. The service was too slow and unpleasant. The toilet was covered in graffiti. We waited 50 minutes for the bill and had to ask for it again. Apparently, we were bothering the few other customers. Group of 8

03/09/2026: UNACCEPTABLE! The waitress really has the nerve to work for such a boss; it's unacceptable to yell at her like that during service, she treats her like her dog. To send her to the slaughter in front of the customers because MADAME cleaned her kitchen and refuses to serve them anymore, even though they have a reservation and are 30 minutes late (the restaurant was closing an hour and a half later)! I sincerely hope she takes sick leave and finds another job (for depression, I suspect). Despite her boss talking to her like a dog, she kept her head held high and a smile on her face—honestly, hats off to her! I would have thrown the plate at her! Especially since she's staying in her kitchen; she's not the one who's going to get involved with the customers! This can't go on forever! In any case, kudos to the little waitress for putting up with people like that.
