30/06/2026: Lukewarm rice, fish not very fresh (strong smell and taste). The waiter tried to charge me for a Coke I didn't drink... expensive for the quality.

27/06/2026: Second visit. The first time: okay. The second time, very disappointed. The entrance door scrapes the floor, creating a very unpleasant noise throughout the meal, and everyone in the dining room was complaining. We sat down at the same time as two other tables and had to wait an interminable amount of time before the waiter took our order; in fact, the other two tables had already been served. The restaurant has a large takeaway business, and that's clearly their priority, so dine-in service comes second. The restaurant is air-conditioned, but you barely notice it. And finally, it's definitely not cheap for what you get. For example, a tuna bowl cost €18 for 5 or 6 slices of tuna, an avocado, and rice... In short, this will be my second and last time. There are better and much cheaper options in the city center.

The decor is simple and understated, and the service is provided by a particularly pleasant and kind waitress. As for the food, the experience was mixed: Starter: A fish parfait with a small salad, simply excellent. Perfectly seasoned, no complaints. Main Courses: Disappointment for everyone at the table with the main course. Whether it was the fish (bland, tasted like it had been boiled) or the stuffed vegetables, the flavor and seasoning were completely lacking. Dessert: A very decent cake to end on a pleasant note. A convenient spot for a lunch break with a nice atmosphere. The successful starter makes you want to give it a second chance to see if it was just an off day with the main courses.

Meanwhile, the dried spinach, which wasn't mentioned in the description, was everywhere. And all this for 60 euros is unacceptable. We won't be back.

01/09/2026: A delightful surprise during a trip to the region. The food was excellent; I enjoyed a generous, incredibly tender ribeye steak cooked to perfection. The side of fries and salad was also impeccable in both quantity and quality. Highly recommended! However, be sure to book ahead, as it was quite busy for a Tuesday lunchtime, and we had the excellent idea of ​​arriving early to snag one of the last tables.

12/09/2026: We were already familiar with the chain, but this was our first time at the one on Boulevard de Strasbourg. A very warm welcome, a dynamic team, and quick service. The salmon was delicious, and the side dishes were generous. A great place to eat in Toulouse.

02/09/2026: Bistrot Régent is a restaurant, not a bistro. The food is good (I'm thinking particularly of the chef's sauce). However, don't expect to run into Philippe here; he doesn't serve the food and apparently doesn't prepare it anymore. He's busy at his other restaurants, they say... The staff is very pleasant nonetheless (just a lot too hairy, unlike Philippe). I recommend this place if you want to eat a good meal; I don't recommend it if you want to see the Chef or any other bald person for that matter.

It was swimming in a watery broth... When we got to the till, we split the bill by the number of people. The price was €17.90 per person. The woman at the register told us she'd round it up to €18 per person 😳 That's the first time I've ever seen that in a restaurant! We won't be going back.

04/10/2026: Excellent food! I discovered this place by chance while ordering takeout, and I had only one thought: to try it in person. What a great idea that was! The quality/price ratio is quite good; a bowl of pho is more than enough. Be careful to choose the size according to your appetite; if you want to try other specialties, the small one is already sufficient. The large one is for big eaters, so I don't even want to imagine how big the large one must be! The pork rice crepes are delicious, and the desserts at Padan (especially the "flan" type) are incredible! The memory of it makes my stomach tingle and my mouth water. A truly delicious place that I can't wait to return to!
