22/08/2024: A good traditional restaurant with quality products. The foie gras is very good, the plates are plentiful and we ate well overall. The terrace is pleasant but the only downside concerns the mosquitoes, we were devoured during the meal which is still unpleasant. A repellent or system to capture them would still be appreciated to be able to better enjoy your culinary experience.

15/12/2024: The cuisine is good and the welcome correct, however, the quantities of beef bourguignon are very limited, adding 2 or 3 more pieces would not be superfluous.

28/11/2024: Bad experience, the buffets are tasteless. Very little choice for vegetarians. The icing on the cake is the 1/4 hour queue to pay and the 2nd cashier (right cash register) is really unfriendly and unpleasant. He should watch his language and be more respectful of the customer. 06/07/2025: We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The owners are charming and attentive to their guests. The rooms are very quiet, decorated in a 19th-century style. A deliberate choice, which perfectly matches this beautiful establishment, steeped in history, which has defied time for five generations. Above all, don't change a thing! It's perfect as it is. The garden is pure beauty, with its hydrangea hedge. The icing on the cake is the swimming pool, which we could enjoy even after checking out. What can I say about the restaurant? Simply a huge wow! Impeccable staff, attentive and highly professional. The cuisine is worthy of a fine restaurant; it was a delight, from starter to dessert. The rice pudding was incredibly good. "Dear Sir, you who left a negative comment about your great-grandfather having better taste, please know that tastes and colors differ from person to person. It's understandable that you don't like the decor, but why make such a comment? The photos are on the establishment's website, in complete transparency. You would have made someone happy by booking elsewhere. Perhaps a Formula 1 would have been more suited to your stay. Also, please be aware that the restaurant industry has high standards, which you are certainly not aware of, since you say they overdo it. A fast-food restaurant would have been perfect for you." If you are looking for a place to stay in Luchon, I warmly recommend the Hôtel d'Etigny. Ideal location, opposite the thermal baths.

21/09/2024: Gone is the Jeannot we knew! Endless waiting, deplorable service and seafood platters in sharp decline. No more Muscadet in a pitcher or mussels and clams displayed on the menu. Overpriced wines (we're in a seafood restaurant????) And no apology from the "manager" or commercial gesture after a waiter stained my clothes while clearing the table. Too bad we’ve been coming there for over 10 years. Unworthy of the new bosses for an old Toulouse institution. Seafood lovers go your way.

10/08/2024: I seldom leave a bad review but the salesperson here was the only service staff in France I’ve encountered this trip who is unfriendly and unhelpful. In contrast to the staff in all other shops in Provence who are warm, patient and happy to help, the older female staff in this shop marred my experience here with her dismissive attitude. I informed that I was looking for gifts and was pointed to some packages which I felt were too bulky for my limited luggage space, as I am here on a long trip and traveling back to Asia. When I asked if they had anything smaller, she looked offended, said no and walked away. On my own I found some other individual boxes which I felt were suitable, but decided not to buy them because of her.

25/09/2024: The experience in this bar/restaurant is very clearly ruined by the manager who is very unpleasant. The tone is not appropriate, the words even less so, there were 10 of us and we were all shocked by his way of treating customers. Too bad, the other servers are friendly, the drinks affordable and the food quite good.

22/09/2024: Popular local address. We like to go there whenever the opportunity presents itself. Ideal for a quick lunch, a happy hour or to come and enjoy good things! The pizzas are delicious, the beers, cocktails & wines varied, not to mention the “nibbles” & platters to share or not 🤭 I highly recommend 👍🏻
