13/11/2024: On a beautiful summer day, sitting on the terrace of the Lion d'or restaurant at La Chaise-Dieu, I enjoy (the use of the verb is appropriate) a porcini mushroom omelette garnished with fries... tasty, sloppy as it should be, generous and delicious....a pure treat Life is not beautiful....!!!

15/10/2024: Group meals. Very tight but warm atmosphere thanks to efficient service and a good daily special.

03/11/2024: A restaurant that doesn't look like much but is open on holiday Sundays and public holidays, the only one in Brioude. Didier is a character, friendly, authentic, who loves traditional cuisine, without fuss with restaurant codes despite everything. A unique, copious, quality menu, homemade with products chosen by him. Very good time, very well eaten, very warm welcome. We'll come back.

25/08/2024: A very beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by beautiful trees, where you feel a bit like home. The staff is very pleasant, discreet and present at the same time. Great contacts who contribute to the success of the stay. Great adaptability to customer needs. Lagoon (swimming pool) very pleasant, aesthetic and original! We didn't want to leave!

24/08/2024: For the occasion of a birthday we discovered a peaceful place in the middle of greenery. The staff took great care to satisfy us. I recommend it for a romantic and relaxing moment

05/07/2025: Motel very easily accessible from the A75 motorway. Room a little small, but nothing to complain about considering the price. Small kettle in the room with coffee or sugar. Very good restaurant: several choices, and it's good, all for 21 euros E+P or B+D. The restaurant overlooks a park, so you can dine outdoors.

30/11/2024: A real treat at the lunch box! The foie gras burger is a pure marvel the bread is tender, the meat is delicious, and the foie gras adds a note of remarkable elegance. The team is welcoming and the service is fast, ideal for a successful lunch or dinner. An address to recommend with your eyes closed for burger lovers

22/09/2024: We ate well, puff pastry starter with chanterelles for my husband, lentil terrine for me: delicious and plentiful. the dish: fish, gratin, ratatouille and parsley tomatoes. The super good dessert, a nice surprise for me, the owners of the place are friendly and welcoming, even our dog was well received. We will return

03/07/2025: The welcome is good, the staff is very friendly and plentiful. The service is fast and accurate. On the other hand, I ate a pizza with undercooked dough, yet still with traces of cooking on both the top and bottom. This is because the wood-fired oven is too hot and the dough burns before it's cooked. I complained to the manager, who offered to bake it again, which they did very kindly. But in the end, the dough still wasn't cooked. To finish, I was given my free pitcher of wine, and I thank them for that. Basically, the pizza chef doesn't know how to use his wood-fired oven—a shame. I'm a bit picky about the 2 stars for the food, but the restaurant is called "La Pizza."

28/06/2025: Everything was very good, the staff very friendly. The pizza knives might need sharpening, but otherwise it was perfect.

22/09/2024: As we had eaten there a few years ago and had really enjoyed the place (white tablecloth, very good meal for a very reasonable price) we wanted to go back, but what a disappointment. Although the staff was pleasant, the meal really disappointed us for 28 euros. Expensive for what we ate. Damage.

08/09/2024: The Grand Café has become our canteen where we can enjoy good homemade dishes whenever we want, 7 days a week and in a very good atmosphere! A big thank you to the whole team, ready to go from 7am! Hats off!

12/09/2024: C'est vrai que le cadre est magnifique mais c'est tout. Accueil déplorable aucune convivialité pour une étape du chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle C'est a la chaîne Mme D. chambre 25 les Narcisses a droite derrière le bâtiment !!!! Pour le repas plus que moyen a part la soupe qui était excellente le plat de la viande bouillie et des pâtes a l'eau qui n'était pas de la première jeunesse !!!! Je vous passe les 3/4 d'heure d'attente pour commencer à être servi alors que ce un repas unique pour tout le monde et qu'on nous avait bien précisé repas a 19h00 precise Je vous passe le sourire et l'amabilité de la serveuse qui est la même qui nous a reçu a notre arrivée !!!! A par nous proposer des suppléments payant a tout va on a pas entendu le son de sa voix Le petit déjeuner plus que moyen et si vous voulez un yaourt caché derrière le bar on vous dit très gentiment !!! Faut donner votre ticket pour les yaourts !!! Donc en résumé ce n'est pas du tout ce que j'attendais d'un accueil pèlerin De tout mon périple c'est le seul que je ne recommanderai pas et que j'ai raillé de mon agenda

13/11/2024: A magnificently wooded terrace, on a small square in the pretty village of Blesle...nice setting to enjoy an excellent dinner, on a beautiful summer evening, at the Bougnate restaurant. The menu is rather classic and traditional (we like it), but the products are cooked with an inventive and modern imagination, and are enhanced by the quality of the products chosen. The chef and staff, very welcoming and empathetic, provided a professional and efficient service. A beautiful address, in a beautiful region.

26/10/2025: A friend and I had the opportunity to go to this restaurant. The quality of the service and the dishes are impeccable. We enjoyed ourselves in a good atmosphere due to the kindness and friendliness of the lady who looked after us.

07/10/2025: We felt rushed. At exactly 9 p.m., we were dismissed. I would have liked to drink something to digest. The food was only below average. The vegetables were provided by the chef, but they were frozen foods.
