13/08/2026: An excellent restaurant in Le Puy-en-Velay. The setting is truly charming, with its warm and elegant decor that immediately invites you to linger. The cuisine lives up to the ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed generous portions, beautifully presented on lovely plates. The cooking was perfect, and every bite was a pure delight. Everything was in place for a very pleasant experience. A gourmet discovery to be repeated without hesitation.

01/08/2026: A very good brasserie with excellent value for money. The set menu was very generous and the service impeccable. Special mention for the excellent vegetable quiche and the veal chop served with a superb gratin dauphinois. A must-try when visiting Le Puy-en-Velay!

25/07/2026: Awful. We arrived at 7:30 pm, it was half empty. We were treated terribly. Rude and disrespectful. They said it was full and they wouldn't serve us. Never again.

11/08/2026: Delicious pizza and the chef's salad was superb. Only fresh ingredients served in record time with a smile. When it's time to pay (or go to the restroom), take your time to look at all the photos of artists, actors, and iconic film scenes displayed on the walls: a real treat.

30/07/2026: Bar/restaurant with a daily special. Simple ingredients, simple but high-quality cuisine. The appetizer buffet was very good, a small but varied selection, the salads were well-seasoned, and the quiches were nice. Good quality ingredients. The homemade dessert was also impeccable, good value for money. Local farm yogurt and a type of fresh, raw-milk curd cheese. A great find!

08/03/2026: A wonderful inn, located 5 minutes from the center of St. Bonnet le Froid, where you feel right at home. Nestled in a verdant setting, with a magnificent view. A restful, rejuvenating, and very quiet place, perfect for a complete escape. The room was spacious, clean, and peaceful, with no noise and a small terrace. We had dinner there, and what a lovely surprise! The owner cooks and bakes, and it was delicious. The breakfast was just as good, with homemade jams, quality products, and generous portions. Thank you for this moment of simple, authentic, and generous happiness. I highly recommend this inn, and thank you to the owners, who are truly lovely and attentive.

20/07/2026: We love this place for its simplicity and delicious food. We tried the ribeye steak (perfectly cooked, tender meat) and the frog legs (perfect, €25 per person including dessert). The potato pancakes were crispy. There's a children's menu (steak and fries for €10). The service was pleasant and friendly. A great place to eat before heading out for the walk to the footbridge over the Lignon Gorge.

04/06/2026: It's very pleasant to eat on the terrace at lunchtime. The service is very quick. The menu is quite varied, and the daily specials are often very appealing. The quality of the food is excellent. It's also a great place for an afternoon snack at 4 pm.

16/05/2026: Having known this restaurant for over 40 years, my disappointment reached its peak when I made a reservation for May 15, 2026. Supposedly a pizzeria, the pizzas are dreadful; even Findus pizzas are better. The wait between ordering and being served was interminable. Only the waitress deserved a rating above average. Even the very reasonable price isn't worth the trip.

23/07/2026: Hello, I would like to express my experience this evening. I have been to your restaurant several times "in my childhood" and everything was always very good, the food was very tasty. Tonight I wanted to introduce my Belgian friends to the city of Puy-en-Velay and therefore have them eat at your restaurant. I ordered a starter of foie gras, which was "very good," and a truffade, which, I'm sorry to say, was not a truffade. I'm from the Auvergne region, born in Ambert in the 63 (Puy-de-Dôme department). I've eaten it all my life, and to use the excuse that I'm not from here is rather disrespectful. A REAL truffade is made with sliced ​​potatoes, fresh tomme cheese OR Cantal cheese, garlic, and parsley, all pan-fried and then reheated in an ovenproof dish. Instead, I got a sort of creamy gratin with onions, two or three pieces of cheese that were supposedly Saint-Nectaire (which had no business being there), and fresh tomme cheese with garlic, and, most importantly, it was overcooked and burnt. I'm not one to cause a scene, but when I point something out, when people ask me directly where I'm from, contradict me, and then... I understand that I must not be from the area and that I'm confusing it with aligot is shameful.
