Bistro Baya
Laye
24/02/2026: We waited 15 minutes at the entrance, only to be told they were full. They made no effort to seat us, even with the wait.
19/02/2026: Great place! You can eat local specialties and buy excellent cheese.
I highly recommend it.

Your smile and your kindness added a touch of delicacy to these shared moments.
The mist spray was a great idea.
The meal was lovely, the setting was fantastic. Thanks again to our waitress. She put on a show for us, you're a wonderful person.

07/02/2026: Excellent service, we had a lovely chat with the owner who was very sweet and full of helpful advice. Great little restaurant, and as a bonus, a delicious blueberry latte after a day on the slopes! Definitely worth checking out!
04/02/2026: An evening at the end of our stay in Serre Chevalier at the 34 restaurant, a very pleasant and welcoming place with a lovely menu featuring classic mountain dishes.
I recommend the truffle fondue; it was excellent, generous, and reasonably priced.

Au Plaisir Ambre
Briancon
08/02/2026: Best dining experience in Briançon.
22/01/2026: We chose the €41 set menu. The food was delicious and original, with remarkable flavors. The quality/price/originality ratio was good. However, the portions were a bit small, as is often the case in this type of restaurant. Reservations are recommended.

Restaurant de La Mairie
Embrun
20/01/2026: It's a great place to be.
The welcome is always warm, with Manu and his son smiling, the quality of the food is undeniable, the desserts are little delights, and you pay without a second thought when you see the bill. If you're looking for good value for money, go for it!
28/12/2025: We ordered a fillet of pollock with Milanese risotto and a veal shoulder bun: both were delicious, delicate, beautifully presented, and original. Excellent value for money.

Café de la ferme
Le Monetier-Les-Bains, <20€
06/01/2026: He didn't know how to make cappuccino. High prices.
13/10/2025: Perfect stop at Café de La Ferme during my trail outing. A more than quality "refreshment"! I was very well received, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They even found me a bottle to refill to compensate for forgetting my water bottle. On special request, they agreed to prepare me a crepe to take away. It had a particularly succulent flavor! I really enjoyed it! I enjoyed this moment! Thank you for everything! I will come back!

Les Deux Chamois
Les Orres
18/02/2026: I've been coming to Les Orres ski resort since the 1970s and I've owned property there since 1997. This very family-friendly and welcoming resort has always kept up with the times. Now, only money matters... Lift pass prices are exorbitant, and to top it all off, parking is charged at an outrageously high price. Charging for parking throughout an entire ski resort is blatant robbery. The only way to get to a ski resort with your family is by car. And to add insult to injury, even homeowners, those who pay property tax and council tax that have more than doubled in just a few years, have to pay a parking fee. And let's not even talk about water bills, or rather all the subscriptions attached to them—it's a real rip-off, a real scandal... In short, I strongly advise prospective buyers to think carefully before investing. This resort, once run like a true family destination, has now become a business designed to siphon off money without any restraint or scruples.
Thanks and congratulations to all those who manage this town in such a deplorable way...
17/02/2026: We love Les Orres, the snow, the sun, and the cool people

Les Mouffles aux Pied
Les Orres
20/02/2026: I strongly advise against this restaurant. We went to make a reservation at 1:30 PM, and were told there was no need to reserve; come around 7:00 PM, it would be fine.
We arrived at the scheduled time and were turned away by a rather unpleasant waitress who told us the restaurant was full and that it was reserved for their partner, even though the restaurant was practically empty at 7:00 PM. Why not warn customers that you have so-called partners who can show up whenever they want?! I will never set foot in this restaurant again.
And don't waste your time replying.
17/02/2026: Warm welcome, clean, and good products. Not a factory! See you soon!

Le Tourton des Alpes
Gap
15/02/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaited us upon arrival, immediately putting us at ease.
The dining room is truly charming, with vaulted ceilings and lovely exposed stonework, and the bistro-style wooden tables and chairs add a convivial and authentic touch.
The dishes are good, simple, and made with artisanal products, which is evident in the flavors, even if the overall experience remains somewhat classic.
The plates could perhaps use a little more flair or surprise to make the experience more memorable.
We were slightly disappointed with our Shepherd's Platters, where the meat pies seemed to have been "forgotten."
With a price reduction of around five euros, the quantity/quality/price ratio would undoubtedly be more balanced.
Overall, a pleasant place to sample local products, although for a similar result, you could just as easily fill your basket with gourmet treats directly at the market.
01/02/2026: We had a wonderful meal, congratulations to the chef and thank you for the service and welcome, we will miss being able to eat there again.

Rifugio I RE MAGI
Nevache
31/12/2025: A truly excellent lunch experience! Fair prices, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was truly friendly and helpful!
15/12/2025: December 14, 2025. I still missed the waiter who constantly teases you because you only had €10 in cash. I've never seen anything like that in any of the refuges I've been to. Not noticing the signs at the start of the trail that said "no credit/debit cards accepted," we asked if we could order something to split for that amount. (Which, incidentally, was available: polenta with butter and parmesan cheese.) From there, the first jokes (ignored) began, with a refrain of "I'll take care of it, we'll see, we can work something out." He sat us down and shortly after, without saying anything, brought some plates. From there, a constant sneering and banter that made us feel less uncomfortable than more, almost like we were begging. "What's life like for the poor?" "Who washes the dishes between the two of us?" All this in front of the other tables. In the end, it turned out we could pay with Satispay (even though we'd already asked for it before, but they refused because they said there was no signal. In fact, the Wi-Fi worked right away). The best part was that we could have easily ordered an appetizer, main course, dessert, and coffee, thus spending triple the amount, but instead they chose to constantly mock two customers who wanted to come back another time and spend much more, just to thank what seemed like a genuine kindness. Unfortunately, it was kindness disguised as rudeness, because, aside from the constant teasing, if you tell you we only have €10, let us sit down, and then bring us a €16 dish, then you're really acting in bad faith. I didn't want to raise my voice at that point because I was already too embarrassed to say, "Here's the agreed-upon €10, let him add the €6." So, thank goodness, Satispay was available. And since I'm not dishonest, I paid what was due. Evidently you hadn't spoken. So, another tease. Anyway, all it took for me to hear
the waitress say "Enough, Dad," after more constant banter before payment, was for me to realize there was already some discomfort here. You tried to get too familiar, you teased me the whole time, you gave a clear lesson in how to treat customers in front of relatives, and now you've caused the (albeit beautiful) refuge where you work to get a negative review. My sincere compliments.
