Au début, on a eu de l'agneau, puis du poulet, mais visiblement du poulet reconstitué (qui s'effiloche et pour lequel il n'y a pas besoin de couteau pour le découper). Nous n'y retournons plus...
08/08/2024: After stopping in Gap for one night and finding this restaurant on trip adviser just had to write a quick review. Having travelled in France for many years we have never been to an Indian restaurant and thought we would give it a go and we were very pleased we did. The food is amazing, the biriani is a highlight and the staff were excellent and very welcoming. We would recommend to anyone who wants to try Indian food in the Alps.

19/09/2024: We ate there last weekend with my partner, and what can I say... The impeccable service, the extraordinary dishes! The unknown flavors, the textures that mix in the mouth! Everything is perfect and frankly there is enough to eat on the plate so much that at the end of the dish we started to be full! I highly recommend! The price-quality level is impressive, we got what we wanted and what we paid for!
Thank you to the waiter, the chef and the cook as well as the owner who all give of themselves out of passion!

Clean accommodation.
Affordable rates.
It's a shame there aren't any accessible accommodations.
A plus: a swimming pool would be much appreciated and appreciated.

02/09/2024: Excellent meal, top service and accommodating with intolerances or just desires. A menu adapted for our daughter was offered to us. Very nice discovery. Everything was delicious! Special mention for the fish candy as an appetizer and the rhubarb dessert 🤩

02/08/2024: Having left only for a dinner, we were delighted with the welcome from the couple. You just need to start a topic to see that this couple is really made to please people. A very nice discovery. Very nice location during the summer, we imagine that for the winter, it must be even better!

Everything is done in this hotel to make you feel good and want to come back.

08/09/2024: A meal taken in a magnificent August setting. But very very very long service, to the point that we did not have dessert. We had each chosen an entry, we were brought two identical entries. Then I asked for a rump steak with fries and it was served in the middle of a sauce that tasted like nothing. I ask what it is and he tells me it's the duck with blueberry sauce that I asked for. Never again never again....

04/07/2025: Fantastic food, stuffed lamb was outstanding. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the gravy beautiful. The pizza was also great. Apple and rhubarb compote was amazing. All round a great restaurant.
28/06/2025: We absolutely love the La Forge restaurant in Châteauroux-les-Alpes! Fabien and Amélie offer exceptionally high-quality cuisine, bordering on gourmet, with dishes bursting with flavor and creativity. Each visit is a true explosion in the mouth, a pure moment of pleasure.
All this with incredible value for money in a warm, authentic setting, in the heart of a magnificent village nestled between mountains and nature. A must-see if you're in the area.
And if you're a restaurant owner or looking to retrain, La Forge is a gem worth taking over: everything you need to succeed is there. A loyal clientele, a charming location, and above all, a soul. ❤️

24/09/2024: Clients depuis 25 ans, nous avons été déçus🥴. Oublis dans notre commande, nous avons noté, que cela n'avait plus le même "prestige" que les années d'antant. Le pain pour la fondue n'était pas approprié, très en mie et bourratif. 😡
La fondue était encore en bloc solide, une fois arrivée sur la table.😡
Très très déçus, je pense que désormais les kilomètres effectués pour venir avec envie manger à la Lairerie ne se feront plus. Je ne recommande pas🥴😡
18/09/2024: Regular customer for 30 years, we were a little disappointed with our last visit. The dishes offered were completely lacking in taste, whether it was the pie or the fondues. The morel fondue really didn't have a lot of morels.
On the other hand, the service is always so friendly (phew!), the view superb and the prices reasonable.
