08/03/2026: What a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, tucked away in a rather dreary cul-de-sac! The welcome is cheerful and warm, the decor a clever, slightly kitschy blend of seaside and mountain themes, and the lighting is perfectly balanced to allow you to admire what's arriving on your plate. The menu is extensive, inventive, and promising. This is confirmed when the dishes are served: everything is fresh, beautiful, flavorful, and served without delay. We enjoyed the langoustines and the confit lamb in a pastry crust, which we chose as starters (both generous portions), and then we savored the hake with sorrel and confit potatoes, as well as the fish quenelle with shellfish jus. The desserts are excellent, with a special mention for the caramelized apples and meringue, a reimagined version of the common floating island found elsewhere. Very reasonable prices again (76 euros for two, starter-main-dessert plus two half-pints of Leffe) when compared to what the other tourist trap restaurants in Villard dare to charge for over-prepared and soulless food. An original and welcoming place that makes you want to return very soon with friends! Thank you, Mr. Charentais. 😊

12/01/2026: What a delight this little restaurant is! Finally, something other than "mountain" fare. Everything was new to us: lamb confit with morels in a pastry crust, oysters and scallops with parsley sauce, suckling pig offal stew, Charentais-style chowder, mashed potatoes with cabbage... A true delight, and served with a smile, too! Good value for money. Highly recommended!

21/08/2026: I found this restaurant through an app that counts calories after you take a picture of your meal. The burger had enough protein for the day and was still very tasty. It didn't feel like a diet at all. The decor is simple.

07/06/2026: Excellent homemade bakery and pastry shop. We had a chocolate éclair and a meringue, both truly excellent and a welcome change from the mass-produced chains... well done and thank you to these shopkeepers who know how to preserve traditions.

20/08/2026: Today, the roast chicken was a mere shadow of its former self. What a shame, after several visits to Dédé's where the chicken was always firm and plentiful... The rest was fine in a pleasant setting. Please seriously reconsider my comment. Sincerely

07/09/2026: My wife and I stopped by for dinner just before 7 pm, and the waitress was super accommodating and friendly, and the food was even better. I had bone marrow as an appetizer and the chef special duck breast with truffle mushrooms and sauce... Wow. Excellent food and excellent service... Thank you to the team Au P'tit Bouchon!

Each dish transported us a little further, with flavors we don't usually find elsewhere, and they delighted our taste buds. A little secret: I'm not usually a fan of ginger or bananas… and against all odds, I was completely won over! Even the rum, which isn't my favorite spirit, pleasantly surprised me with its finesse in a perfectly balanced cocktail 🍹 It just goes to show that when a dish is prepared with passion and expertise, it can change even the most skeptical minds 😁 The welcome was simply exceptional: warm, friendly, and genuine… we immediately felt at home.
