18/08/2026: A truly disappointing experience As a resident of Barneville-Carteret, I was eager to discover this caterer and try their products. So, we decided to go, hoping to explore and get some advice. The products we tasted were good, no complaints there. However, we were very disappointed by the welcome we received. There was no friendliness, no advice, and above all, we felt like we were bothering them when we asked questions. When we inquired about the products, the waitress's response was simply: "Look, it's right here in front of you." It's a real shame, because when you discover a caterer, especially as a local customer, you expect to be greeted with at least a little warmth and to be able to get some advice. The products are good, but the welcome and the level of service clearly need improvement. For me, this first experience unfortunately doesn't make me want to return.

23/08/2026: Not sure if the restaurant is permanently closed? We had a reservation which was confirmed by email and SMS - but it was dark and nobody there when we arrived for dinner. Very disappointing.

30/09/2026: A wonderful experience during our tourist visit to Saint Vaast. The food was delicious. The portions were generous. The waitress was very friendly. The only slight drawback was the somewhat long wait, but nothing serious! I highly recommend this gourmet getaway!

07/09/2026: I cried tears of joy; it was the best pizza of my life! Thank you so much for this incredible moment shared with the love of my life after an amazing day at Mont Saint-Michel. If you're coming back from there and don't know where to eat, go here! 🤩 The atmosphere was amazing, with a smiling and very welcoming waitress. The service (weekday evenings) was quick and impeccable. I also recommend the burgers, which are exceptional. Thank you again so much for this wonderful experience, and I plan to come back next time I'm in the area! 💜

04/09/2026: Picked up pizza, good quality. Would it taste even better with slightly less topping? The kitchen and storage area look clean and tidy. Four tables in the small restaurant, neat in a low-stimulus environment.

15/12/2025: What a pleasant surprise at Restaurant du Bon Vieux Temps! We were looking for a nice restaurant and didn't know anything about the area. We went in without really knowing what to expect, and honestly, we had a fantastic time. The food was incredibly high quality at a more than reasonable price, the welcome was wonderfully warm, and the ingredients were local, seasonal, high-quality, and homemade. The menu is limited to a few dishes, which is a real plus because each one is carefully prepared and generous! You can taste the passion in the cooking! I recommend it 100%!

06/09/2026: One-third of the mussels marinière were unopened. I pointed this out to the waitress, who replied that she wasn't the one cooking. My response: "You're the one serving, and you can pass the complaint along." I was very disappointed. I was celebrating my birthday with two friends. We quickly went home to Poilley for coffee. I do not recommend this establishment; the background music is too loud and they don't take feedback into account. Avoid the Clapton in Ducey.

02/07/2026: We ordered two Savoyard pizzas. One of them was missing toppings, but after calling Domino's, the problem was resolved and they sent us a perfect replacement! 👌

23/06/2026: I still want to say that we have been ordering for 2 or 3 weekends now, unfortunately the quality is lower (cooking, toppings) and we are tired of putting thin crust on every pizza when what we ask for every time is classic crust, I wanted to give them a few chances but unfortunately I will not order from there again.

27/07/2026: The food is good, but expect to pay a hefty price; it's a real rip-off. We were charged a €24 service charge for eating in. Of course, there's absolutely no indication of a price difference between eating in and taking away. We were simply told that the cook wasn't there (I didn't realize we had to pay more to compensate for staff shortages). As a result, we ended up paying double the price of the dish. For example, the price displayed in the window was €6.90 for chicken pasta, but we paid over €12… The man recalculated it for me when I asked; we should have paid €68, but we paid €92. He categorically refused to refund the difference because, apparently, serving a cardboard box to customers after reheating the dish in the microwave costs €24.

09/07/2026: Passing through Agneaux, and on a recommendation, we discovered this fabulous restaurant with its exquisitely refined dishes and myriad flavors. A true delight! Moreover, the warm welcome and friendliness added to the truly enjoyable and convivial atmosphere. Thank you so much for your delicious food and presentation! 😋🤩

25/04/2026: Thoroughly terrible place to eat, for reasons below: The French fries were soggy, oily, and were clearly microwaved after being fried much before. The steak tartare was full of strong mustard and little else, there was no raw egg yolk (maybe it was mixed with the beef, but I really could not taste it). The ham and cheese baguette was ok. Service was very slow and completely un-courteous. The young boy clearly forgot my order and then went in to place it at least 10 minutes after ordering. For a fast-food place, it isn't cheap, either. I regret having gone there to eat.

04/10/2026: On October 4th, I picked up my McDonald's order for click and collect after a 45-minute wait. When I got home, I was shocked to find that two packets of fries were missing, that we had three fries barely hanging on in their box with a tiny bit of cheddar cheese, and that our €6 sundae/McFlurry was actually just a soggy mess from the bottom of the machine… For an order over €100, I find this almost unacceptable. I understand that McDonald's is a fast-food restaurant, but they should take better care of the orders they send out!

04/10/2026: I just happened to be in the area and decided to stop for some lunch, staff was very friendly and professional, I don't speak French and felt bad as I couldn't understand the young lady that service my table, am sorry!! Overall the facility was clean and organized, way better in comparison to the one close by my lodging, much appreciated to all of you!

09/05/2026: Nice hygiene report published in the local press! Administrative closure is outrageous; it's a disgrace to see such things in your establishment's kitchens.

08/10/2026: Stunning view of the bay. Camper parking available; we stayed one night. Recommended.

08/10/2026: RESTAURANT OPEN / CONTINUOUS SERVICE... no. We arrived for lunch in the early afternoon (admittedly late for lunchtime, but it said "continuous service" and "open"). Two people were eating inside (we later realized they were the owners) who saw us arrive but said nothing. The doors were closed. We left. The guy made it clear with aggressive gestures that it was closed. A belated reaction: I checked the Google reviews.

10/09/2026: Always a warm welcome since I started going there. A great story with the owner who bought the restaurant, a fantastic team, a great atmosphere, and the food is excellent. In short, go without hesitation! 👍😉 Once again, back at Uncle Scott’s and what a pleasure to see the new young staff providing such great service, well done! And the new pistachio digestif is delicious.

09/09/2026: This restaurant has really gone downhill... The quality and freshness weren't there.... What disappointed me most was the "gourmet coffee": coffee served with a Nutella muffin (frozen and microwaved) and just whipped cream on the side...

08/08/2026: A complete disaster on all fronts!! Avoid at all costs! Tasteless food, exorbitant prices, and an unfriendly manager.

19/07/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Zero stars if possible. The kebab was inedible: poorly prepared wheat, tasteless meat, and sauces that seemed expired. We got sick after the meal. On top of that, the prices are outrageous. When we complained, the owner became aggressive and rude, telling us not to come back. Fortunately, his daughter apologized and tried to smooth things over, promising to improve. I do not recommend this establishment.
