23/05/2024: Sur la route des vins de Champagne , nous nous sommes arrêtés pour déjeuner dans cette super auberge . Accueillis par deux super nanas avec un sourire une joie communicative , nous avons profité du buffet d'entrées , salades ,charcuteries à volonté , puis d'un plat du jour d'un très bon niveau, ensuite un bon dessert ponctué par un bon café . De très bon produits, une cuisine maison pour un prix tout à fait abordable . si vous passez par là arrêtez vous , vous n'aurez pas de regrets !

01/12/2024: We were passing through and ended up in this nice little restaurant, where we were welcomed like kings. The setting is typical, the service top notch and we enjoyed what was on the plate. We will keep this address for our next stay.

15/09/2024: Leckerer Rosé Champagner und Chablis bei leckerem Essen auf der Sonnenterrasse der Le Gaulois in Reims genießen.
Hier das WoEnde ausklingen lassen war eine gute Entscheidung.
11/09/2024: De passage à Reims en ce dimanche, recherche d'un restaurant après la visite de la sublime cathédrale où furent couronnés nos rois.
Passage devant le Gaulois vers 19H00 alors que la terrasse est bondée. Le pari est risqué mais il faut tenter.
Dîner sur le pouce car nous n'étions pas affamés. Un burger maison et deux bavettes nous ont régalé.
Service efficace et sympathique ! Rien à redire.

01/12/2024: Nous avions réservé pour 2. L'aller étant complète pour le premier service au moins, c'était mieux.
L'accueil est souriant et le service efficace. Normal quand on enchaîne 2 services.
Le repas est bon, et le tarif reste correct pour la qualité.
Très bon tartare (200g quand meme) de bœuf avec la possibilité de choisir un assaisonnement. Coup de cœur pour l'entrée avec l'œuf un régal.
Deux petits bemols: pour ce type de restaurant, en apéritif, cela mériterait des amuses bouche un peu plus recherché et des tables très (trop) rapprochées. Dommage lorsqu'il s'agit d'un resto en amoureux.
Par contre, les chiens bien éduqués sont acceptés.
En bref, un très bon restaurant.

Service pas à la hauteur de l'établissement personnel pas à la hauteur de nombreuses erreurs commandes et techniques du service , extras ou étudiants ....
40 min avant que l'on vienne prendre ma commande, erreur de table avec d'autres clients de la table voisine
Une fois de plus le maître d'hôtel chef de salle a récupéré ces erreurs... excellent Monsieur félicitations

21/07/2024: Cela fait maintenant plusieurs années que nous nous rendons "Chez Max" chaque fois que nous sommes en Champagne.
Accueil toujours aussi chaleureux par Monsieur. Service aux petits soins. Cuisine traditionnelle de grande qualité. Produits frais joliment préparés. Bon rapport qualité/prix. A la prochaine....nous reviendrons !
19/07/2024: Je komt hier niet bij toeval terecht. Hoewel op loopafstand van centrum van Épernay, ligt het restaurantje een beetje uit de route. Ook de buitenkant wekt niet de indruk dat je hier binnengaat in een prima restaurant met traditioneel Franse keuken met veel liefde voor het vak.
Wij komen om 19 uur als eersten binnen in restaurant en worden vriendelijk verwelkomd door eigenaar Max. Binnen een half uur zitten beide verdiepingen van het restaurant echter vol.
Kaart met traditioneel Franse gerechten. De, door Max aan tafel bereidde, steak tartare is een aanrader (en populair).
Prima prijs-/kwaliteitverhouding.
