01/06/2026: ⭐ Overall rating: 7.5/10 A great find! This African restaurant in Lyon was a wonderful discovery. I had a lovely time and, most importantly, a delicious meal. The portions were generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Special mention goes to the chicken: perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and, most importantly, not dry, which is often a weak point in this type of dish. The side dishes were also excellent, with well-balanced flavors. A minor drawback was the sweet potato fries, which were unavailable during my visit. Apparently, they had been out of stock for several days. This is a bit of a shame, as they are often a popular side dish, and sweet potatoes are generally quite easy to find. As for the ambiance, the terrace is perfect for enjoying the nice weather, which is very pleasant. However, it has limited seating and opens directly onto the street. Inside, the space is adequate, but it was quite warm during my visit, with noticeable cooking smells. Air conditioning or better ventilation would significantly improve customer comfort. The service also deserves a mention. The woman single-handedly manages the kitchen, reception, service, and payments. Despite this heavy workload, she remains cheerful and does her best to satisfy customers. This can sometimes lead to a slight wait, but it's understandable. My ratings: * Reception: 8/10 * Food: 8/10 * Value for money: 8/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere and comfort: 7/10 In short, this is a place worth discovering for the quality of its cuisine and its authentic flavors. 30/05/2026: We just left this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was quick. For dessert, we had degué… It was also very good! Honestly, a great place, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Lyon. Thank you for everything! ☺️🙏

11/04/2026: Big thumbs up to Colin who handled the pressure of service really well, including the drinks we drank. However, more staff and more food in the kitchen on a Saturday night… that's debatable! It was still great though! We'll be back on a Friday to try the burgers 😂

01/05/2026: Well... It's hard to be objective, given my passion for all things German. As soon as there's a German place in France, I'm there in a flash. The staff (waiters and baristas) are incredibly attentive; it's lovely to receive such genuine hospitality. The drinks menu is extensive (classic cocktails, German-style cocktails, and plenty of German beers). The food menu is varied: German snacks (sausages, charcuterie boards) and the current trends: bagels and burgers. I was a little disappointed with the desserts; nothing particularly authentic except for the apple strudel. The music is soft electronic, at a decent volume. The decor is in the Berlin style, with items from there; spread over two floors, beautifully done, with framed pictures and pieces of German culture on the walls. And some clever creative touches (check out the pendant lights above the bar ;) Price: reasonable (expect to pay around €13 for a bagel and a drink). Clientele: mixed, mostly in their thirties

28/05/2026: Overall, the pizzas are good, the staff is friendly, but once again—and this is increasingly the case on Boulevard des États-Unis—the owner feels compelled to impose his religion on all the customers. Don't even think about ordering a pizza with ham or pairing it with a glass of red wine; it's haram. I miss my Moroccan pizza maker in Villeurbanne who used to say, "My religion forbids me from eating pork or drinking alcohol," but I don't have the right to impose my prohibitions on others. If only everyone were like that...

13/05/2026: My friends and I went to this wonderful pizzeria. Honestly, the service, quality, and prices were all very reasonable. I recommend this pizzeria to everyone. The presentation of the dishes and desserts was magnificent. It was really delicious, and above all, the staff was fantastic—very pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. Everything is homemade.

20/05/2026: I had dinner last week at this unassuming little restaurant, right across from the Lumières Fourmi cinema. The Italian products in the window by the entrance looked incredibly tempting! The pizzas were delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. The waitress was a bit abrupt, but actually very friendly :) Thank you so much, it was a lovely time!

09/03/2026: We visited Pizzeria la Caselina a few days ago and were very pleased. This small restaurant is intimate and allows its customers to gather in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The food is expertly prepared by the team. There's a good variety on the menu, making it difficult to choose. The aroma of freshly cooked food wafts into the dining room, setting the mood for the delicious meal that awaits you.

21/04/2026: Okay, but a few missteps. I went with a client, without a reservation. We easily found a seat in the large upstairs room, although the limited space made business conversations a bit difficult – to be expected in this type of establishment. The staff was friendly, but one detail spoiled the experience: our dishes were switched when we ordered. They realized it, took the dishes back under the pretext of an "order error"... only to serve them again two minutes later, still a false claim, without explanation or apology. A shame, because we would have readily accepted the mistake as it was. In total: €90 for two tartares (one of which was 300g), sparkling water, and two gourmet coffees. The prices are in line with the market, but it's still surprising!

21/06/2026: The worst salad I've ever eaten. Extremely expensive for what you get! The breaded chicken slices were as thin as a hair, and the grilled ravioli had no flavor whatsoever. The bread slices were cut so thin and small it was ridiculous. The salad was so dry, with no dressing or seasoning, that I had to ask for some. The waitress even wondered if there was actually any dressing on my plate. We asked the waiter to bring us a napkin… he never came back. In short, a disaster. We left disgusted and annoyed.
