24/04/2026: I'd been searching for good grilled fish for so long, and after several disappointments, I lost faith in it. Until I decided to try it at LE CONAKRY 🤩 My taste buds took a journey that transcends the universe: it was so magnificently delicious, from the chili that really hit me, to the side dish, including the seasoning, and the fish's charred edges, which met all the criteria of a true BRAISED FISH 😭 ps: Le Conakry, please remember to add starters to your menu (treats, snacks, etc.) while you wait for your meal: everyone wins.

18/03/2026: Small restaurant near Place Jean Macé. The service is fairly quick and the welcome is unobtrusive. The food is good, but the ribeye steak at 18 euros is a bit pricey... the daily special I saw on neighboring plates looked good, judging by what other customers were saying.... The atmosphere is a little dreary... the establishment is clean and well-maintained.

28/04/2026: A small but very pleasant restaurant, with a truffle fondue that's perhaps one of the best in Lyon. It's child-friendly and the service is very attentive.

23/04/2026: Two reservations cancelled, one at the last minute due to a supposed lack of cook and one for an undisclosed reason. This is starting to become a problem.

08/12/2025: Tonight they refused to serve tea. If you don't order anything, the toilet is inaccessible. I've never seen anything like it! Shame on this shopkeeper. Hot chocolate was €3.80, not a drop of milk! There were two of us! I was barely allowed to sit down. I come from Franche-Comté; I'll remember the hospitality of Lyon.

19/06/2026: I will never set foot in that place again. We had booked a table for seven people several months in advance for our mother's 70th birthday. I knew the restaurant because I had already been twice. Seven days before the event, our reservation was canceled. I called the restaurant for an explanation. I got the sommelier, who was incredibly unpleasant and didn't even apologize. He told me that's just how it is, and that's that. That the restaurant doesn't have tables for seven. And that he only discovered the situation a few days beforehand because they didn't have time to check their computer system, which handles all the reservations. I asked to speak to the head chef, whom I only got on the phone several hours later. I was practically scolded. At no point did he sincerely apologize or try to find a way to seat us all at the same table. The only option he offered me was to eat at two different tables in the restaurant! There was obviously no way we were going to celebrate our mother's 70th birthday at two different tables, especially considering the equivalent of a month's minimum wage we were going to pay. I found the chef extremely cold. Unfortunately, he doesn't represent Peruvians, who are known for their kindness and compassion. If you're looking for a place with a warm welcome, look elsewhere.

More than just a trip, it's an encounter that beautifully combines all the ingredients of a genuine connection: heart, intelligence, and dialogue.
