01/09/2024: Everything to have a good time with friends or family. A quiet renovated terrace. Good pizzas and burgers, a large selection of drinks and beers. darts, billiards, table football, broadcast of matches. The manager is undertaking numerous renovations in a place which has been bathed in its own juice for over 20 years. Well done to the whole team 👍

18/04/2024: Decoration redone for the Bar part since 2021 (less cocoon and fun). Clientele too international and poorly educated. Rooms identical to 2021 but very good in practical comfort and space. Restaurant service lacking flexibility. Ski Set inside and very professional staff, very flexible and adaptable to the situations of each skier unlike restaurants. Comfortable room but bathroom smelling musty because the hotel chose pretty floor tiles that retain humidity. Ideal location. Impeccable reception service and concierge. The hotel has its own parking lot. Not cheap (Val Thorens!) but very practical.

15/04/2024: This is an amazing hotel. Excellent location. Rooms are good but not cleaned properly. You have to ask for things like water, tea bags, dusty. We were a big group of vegans and vegetarians. At first reading the reviews we were disappointed to book the hotel as they were not good for restaurants. We spoke to the managers for both the restuarant and they went out of their way to make us delicious vegan food. We had small kids and they took care of their dietary requirements. Staff are excellent with amazing service. We are planning to go back next year.

21/11/2024: La Marmotte is traditional Savoyard cuisine of good quality, with a superb welcome which will be reserved for you by Evelyne & Allan, I highly recommend it. The natural or porcini mushroom fondue accompanied by excellent, abundant cold meats without forgetting the egg and kirch at the end will delight your taste buds. Burgers are also a real specialty 😋 Also note that the pizzas are to take away. A real wood fire in the main room will warm you up and create a unique atmosphere. The terrace covered with two bioclimatic pergolas equipped with side blinds will give you significant comfort.

27/07/2024: Il bar è molto carino e anche i dolci molto buoni però il personale è pessimo! La ragazza che ci ha serviti ha avuto un atteggiamento equivoco e provocante con la persona che mi accompagnava, provandoci e ridendo esageratamente. Assolutamente non professionale. Io non ci metterò più piede. Per gli incontri e i flirt si aspetta la fine del lavoro. Non si fa la scema con i clienti del locale. Assolutamente fuori luogo. Alla ragazza consiglio l' utilizzo di Tinder!

29/09/2024: We came as a couple for one night. Positive points: -The room is clean -There is a large bed -A beautiful view -A very kind cleaning lady (who was able to inform us better than the reception staff) Negatives: -Definitely not worth the 4 stars -Hammam, hot tub and fountain in the pool not functional (apparently for several months given the reviews) and no treatments available -Drinks at €5!! -No explanation when we arrived (breakfast time, services offered, etc.) -2 people from the table service ready to fight right in front of us and were shouting lots of insults!! We do not recommend it

28/09/2024: Very nice hotel and extremely friendly staff. We spent a pleasant weekend between relaxing in the spa and walking in the village. I recommend👍

03/04/2024: Very friendly and warm welcome, but our room was a little dated and the lighting and sockets are not really up to standard. Another subject, the brasserie l'Authentique where we dined with again very friendly service, served us a Savoyard fondue - more expensive than anywhere else - which must undoubtedly have been a sachet fondue from the mass market because, being Savoyard, I know how to recognize a real fondue from a ready-made one; we had the opportunity to taste another one near the hotel which had nothing to do - fortunately - with that of l'Authentique. To accompany it, we took a Chignin, unfortunately an uninteresting cooperative wine but charged €41 when two restaurants in Méribel and Mottaret offered us a Chignin from André Quénard which was an aromatic marvel at a price of €27 and €31. I imagine that most foreigners don't notice anything but I find that it harms the image of MontVallon. That being said, I would not hesitate to return to the hotel which is really very pleasant and so well located. Thank you to the whole team for their welcome and see you soon I hope. 31/03/2024: Ideally located for ski in / ski out. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms could use an upgrade (bathrooms and lighting).

24/10/2024: Accueil horrible, le monsieur nous a agressé à tel point que nous sommes repartis sans pouvoir déjeuner car sachez le vous n'avez pas le choix de votre table, on vous l'impose et si ça ne vous plaît pas on vous dit que vous n'avez qu'à partir !

31/08/2024: There is not much choice, compared to the competing all-you-can-eat buffet in Chambéry. They only have a third of the variety of dishes and are more expensive.

Don't limit yourself to the visual aspect of the building which doesn't show anything; a warm interior, a magnificent and well-ventilated interior court sheltered from the sun in the evening. TOP TABLE SERVICE👍👍 (thanks to the lady from Portugal whose first name I forgot), excellent and copious food. I'll be back !

02/09/2024: Après une expérience très moyenne l'année dernière, nous avons décidé d'y retourner pour ne pas rester sur une mauvaise impression: la plus mauvaise idée de l'été!!! très mal reçu,, service minimum , voire inexistant, des consignes strictes et des allusions pour le moins douteuse. Malgré notre tentative d'apaisement, rien n'y a fait: langage à la limite de l'impolitesse, aucune faveur (demande de démonter la tente au retour de la randonnée pour laisser le temps du séchage, peu d'emplacement occupé) et cerise sur le gâteau: plat du soir viande avarié...mais facturé. incompétence totale pour ce type d'activité: A FUIRE!!!!!!

25/08/2024: Great stay surrounded by nature with a magnificent panorama. Friendly welcome, clean toilets, and excellent Savoyard meal. Beautiful last evening spent with the owner, the campers having chosen to have the evening meal, interesting discussions and palm of gold for little Gladys who is an excellent apprentice. . In short, excellent experience in the great outdoors!

29/05/2024: +ve Amazing place the music, dancing and atmosphere is super. -ve We were in the vip area, and we paid a lot. However, unnecessary cheating in our bill, they add 100 euro charge for the power bank that they put on the table and we didn't ask for, it was a shame, I was there many times this is the 1st time, I was scamed.

14/05/2024: Probably the most disrespectful experience of my life. Showed up on 3/31/2024 and were met with a horrible experience, including: 1. Having the staff stand behind the bar and almost refuse to serve us, despite being open 2. Pretending to not speak English (you are a bartender at Folie Douce…) 3. Refusing to get the shot ski when requested because it is “too far away” 4. Cheering us out of the establishment when we left Made a lot to effort to make it to the bar and was disgusted with the treatment. What a joke. UPDATE: Email to their team was ignored entirely, took no responsability for the poor treatment of me and my friends.

28/12/2023: On est venu à 5 en famille prendre un verre, l’ambiance était très sympathique, le Dj nous a accueilli avec des musiques françaises, la serveuse nous a bien conseillé avec son accent anglais. Nous avons passé un bon moment qui a bien complété notre album de souvenirs. Merci à toute l’équipe.
