06/01/2026: Large, pleasant snack bar and tea room, child-friendly with a kitchenette and crayons available. The pastries (cheesecake) are very good. They also have other English pastries (carrot cake, shortbread, etc.). However, they only accept credit cards for purchases over €10.

03/01/2026: No hot water or heating on the evening of our arrival. Breakfast, advertised at €14, was actually only worth €5. We couldn't get invoices. We were charged for breakfasts we didn't eat. The owner responded with insults via text message. Avoid this place; it's unworthy of being called a bed and breakfast.

05/07/2025: We used to come to dinner at the Tavern but tonight what a disappointment!!! I didn't know that the tsatsiki was served in coarse pieces of cucumber, the Greek salad lukewarm, and the large mezze plate, strong doubts about the "homemade", in view of the waitress's comments "we didn't have any left this lunchtime but I'll see if they've bought some more" about the feta pastries!!! The bread, let's not even talk about it, dry and dry, and all that for a bill that's way too expensive. A wasted dinner. The only positive point, the speed of service, at 10 it helps 😀

28/05/2025: The moussaka was delicious, the service friendly, but very slow, so be prepared. The atmosphere here is that of the square, as the restaurant's terrace is the one on Place de Carmes, where it is located.

The quality/quantity/price ratio is unsatisfactory. Really. In my opinion, it's an overrated place in Avignon. The service, however, was very good.

07/11/2025: When visiting the Palais des Papes in Avignon, the least you can do is eat at Le Moutardier du Pape, if only to enjoy its magnificent terrace. The food is good, simple but very well-executed, and the staff is both professional and attentive. If you eat there, try their fries; they're simply incredible. In Avignon, where the heat can be quite intense, this place is highly recommended. What's more, the beer is excellent, and good beer goes hand in hand with good food.

Yesterday at lunchtime, we introduced some friends to this restaurant, and they were absolutely delighted! The pizzas were divine, and the welcome was warm, friendly, and pleasant; especially since we lingered a bit after arriving a little late. The staff were very accommodating and let us enjoy the place without feeling intrusive. Thank you! We will continue to come regularly and recommend this place to our friends; we always leave feeling wonderful. Thank you to the whole team!

13/01/2026: Reservation made via Messenger, and thankfully so! Arrived at 12:15 PM. By 12:30 PM, the restaurant was quite full. 4 people, table 1. -- Quality and quantity: No complaints. The food was piping hot and very generous. -- Impeccable dining room. -- VC: Same here. -- Only (but this is unrelated): - The dining room is a bit noisy. - There's no vegetarian menu. It's not easy to find a spring roll without shrimp or a roll without pork. -- But the explanations, the kindness, and the smile of the charming waitress were unanimously appreciated.
