18/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome and the food was excellent, but I must admit we were expecting a decor and atmosphere more in keeping with its name... "Lumberjack's Inn"... we were hoping to find ourselves in a room that would truly transport us. Nevertheless, it's pleasant and very clean. If you're passing through the inn, don't hesitate; the prices are very reasonable and you'll leave feeling full.

26/01/2026: We held our company seminar at Domaine de Champé in Bussang in October 2025, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The welcome was impeccable, the food was top-notch, the spa was a real bonus, and the venue is magnificent, perfectly suited to professional events. The meeting room was very functional and equipped with everything we needed, allowing us to work in excellent conditions. The team stayed in spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfectly furnished and equipped wooden chalets—a true haven. Special mention to Jean-Mi and Ingrid for their availability, kindness, and professionalism. A fantastic team, proactive and always attentive to our needs. A huge thank you to everyone: we wholeheartedly recommend Domaine de Champé!

24/01/2026: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sunêlia Domaine de Champé in Bussang (F-88) in the Vosges Mountains of France. It's a very pleasant 5-star holiday resort where you can have a wonderful time in a peaceful, mountainous setting. Following my visit in December 2025, I can give you a complete overview of the resort, including everything you need to know about the atmosphere, facilities, services, rates, and practical information! 📍 Let's start with the location and the neighborhood: Sunêlia Domaine de Champé is located at 14 Rue des Champs Naves, 88540 Bussang, France. It's situated in the heart of the Ballons des Hautes Vosges, at the foot of the Bussang and Ballon d'Alsace passes, in a natural environment, near the source of the Moselle River. It's located in a quiet, green, hilly area, ideal for hiking, cycling, or relaxing in nature. 🏡 Atmosphere & Decor: A warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant and common areas feature interior decor inspired by the Vosges mountain/chalet style, using wood and natural materials to create a cozy and authentic ambiance. A variety of accommodations: camping pitches, upscale mobile homes, and authentic wooden chalets, some with private saunas. 💦 Pools & Water Park: A water park of approximately 300 m², popular with families and couples: An indoor pool heated year-round (approximately 32°C), with large bay windows overlooking the mountains. An outdoor pool heated seasonally (May to late September, approximately 28°C), surrounded by mountains. A paddling pool and water slide for children in the summer. Typical hours: 9 am → 8 pm (subject to seasonal variation). 🧖‍♀️ Spa & Wellness: The Pure Altitude Spa, a certified Spa de France, is a highlight of the resort. Facilities: Finnish sauna (indoor/outdoor), hammam, jacuzzi, Nordic bath, relaxation area, hydromassage baths, herbal tea room. Treatments and massages are available (body treatments, facials, sensory rituals), often by reservation. Day spa access is possible, with wellness rates (e.g., sauna/hammam/pool access ~€18 + supplement depending on treatments); massages and treatments are around €60 and up depending on duration/type. Access is for ages 18 and up, or ages 10 and up with an adult and waiver, subject to the rules. 🍽️ Dining & Services: Chez Jean-Mi restaurant on site, often praised by visitors for its Vosges and Alsatian cuisine and friendly atmosphere. Bar, snack bar (in season), kids' club (ages 4–12 in high season), grocery store, Wi-Fi, playground. Sports activities on site or nearby: hiking, mountain biking, tennis, fishing, winter sports, etc. 👍 What I liked during my visit: ✔ Warm welcome and friendly staff. ✔ Magnificent natural surroundings, perfect for relaxation. ✔ Well-maintained and comfortable facilities (swimming pools, spa). ✔ Family atmosphere and children's activities in season. ✔ Restaurant appreciated for its regional dishes. 🛠 Areas for improvement: lighting on the pathways in the evening, some aging accommodation facilities, and restrooms too far from the campsites. For example, we had a chalet called Odile where the upstairs parquet floor creaked terribly when you walked on it, waking everyone up at night. Another example: the oven door wouldn't close because the glass was coming loose! Yet another: the French door frame leading to the terrace is worn and needs replacing, making it incredibly difficult to open and close. Despite these minor issues, which will certainly be resolved, I highly recommend this holiday center and the Chez Jean-Mi restaurant. You'll have a wonderful time in a peaceful, mountainous setting. 13/03/2026: A romantic dinner in a beautiful setting with a delicious meal and, above all, an extremely friendly manager (or waiter). Knowing that we booked with a Smartbox voucher, we didn't notice any difference in price. I highly recommend going there.

27/02/2026: A wonderful discovery this evening for our last night in the Vosges. A beautiful and delicious restaurant; all nine of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Excellent service, a friendly atmosphere, and great food. Everything was perfect, we highly recommend it.

10/02/2026: Passing through the area, we tried the takeaway pizzas on a recommendation and they were very good! Edit: We returned a second time during another stay in the area. It's a good thing the pizzas are good, because if the cashier's lack of enthusiasm had been the only issue, we wouldn't have gone back.

13/01/2026: Simple but good home cooking. Reasonable prices. Impeccable service. The lunch menu is a bit limited on weekdays.

05/01/2026: Order worth €500 for New Year's Eve. The meal, straight from the subway, was absolutely disgusting, tasteless, and didn't taste homemade at all. It's regrettable; we feel ripped off. Shameful.

30/12/2025: Christmas dinner with my colleagues was originally planned at Jade's, but we changed our minds because their menu was extremely limited. So, we went to Jade's instead, where we had a very good meal. We're never disappointed at this restaurant; it was excellent. The waitress was very friendly, and we had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it.

22/12/2025: My partner and I came for dinner on Saturday evening. Greeted by the owner himself, who took the time to shake our hands, we ordered two dishes from the daily specials (cheese-stuffed gnocchi). Accompanied by his burrata and pesto (just the way Aldo knows how to make it), we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a lovely time. We look forward to returning for more delicious Italian food.

14/12/2025: We stopped by chance. Charming restaurant, enjoyable food. However, be warned: asking about fries is clearly considered sacrilege. The owner, self-proclaimed guardian of good taste, will put you in your place, complete with a grimace of disgust.

19/10/2025: Excellent restaurant: refined cuisine, high-quality ingredients. Philippe is also an excellent sauce maker. Florence takes great care of the guests and manages the dining room with great efficiency. Quality wines. The tartes flambées on Friday night are to die for! A great restaurant

24/02/2026: Very disappointed. The service was rushed; we barely had time to finish our aperitif before the main courses arrived. We really felt like we were in the way... I was sick when I left.

23/02/2026: We hadn't even started our aperitifs when the main course was brought to us. It felt like we were bothering them... and yet there weren't many people there, and the person I was with got quite sick afterwards.

17/02/2026: Small room, but a big experience. The service was cheerful and friendly. A varied menu bursting with flavor, featuring top-quality ingredients. A must-try, and worth repeating for a truly enjoyable time.

13/02/2026: A hidden gem in Raon-l'Étape: Go for it without hesitation! While traveling in the area, I called this restaurant on a whim for lunch, and what a surprise! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a wonderful atmosphere in a modern and stylish setting. What immediately strikes you is the perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism. The service is both professional and warm; you instantly feel at ease. As for the food, the lunch menu is absolutely flawless: The starter: An excellent rabbit terrine. You can taste the "homemade" quality from the first bite, it's undeniable. The main course: A fillet of pollack with sweet potato, all enhanced by an incredible sauce... The chef is right to keep it a secret; it's truly memorable! The dessert: An apple-blueberry clafoutis so delicate it would make any gourmet blush. A truly wonderful discovery! 05/02/2026: The lunch menu is €26. You can choose between two starters, two main courses, and two desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We particularly appreciated the delicious seasonal vegetables that accompanied our pork cheek (which was incredibly tender). A great place to remember.
