20/11/2024: We spent 2 nights in this establishment during a November weekend. We received a great welcome from the owners who were very professional and made themselves very available. Breakfast: perfect Room: well renovated Perfect location for visiting Vals. We visited the entire village on foot without using our vehicle during the entire stay. Very good continuation and I hope to come back during my next visit to Vals.

11/11/2024: A very pleasant stay for two in this beautiful establishment, with an equally pleasant and efficient welcome and service from the owners! The room is well appointed and very cozy! I recommend!!

01/09/2024: We had a great time. The service is top notch, the wine list is well-stocked and the quality of the food preparation is excellent. However, the quantities are a little small. We came out hungry.

28/08/2024: Very disappointed, starting with the appetizer, so tiny that you can't taste the flavor, and the rest the same, the presentations on the menu were very tempting, but on the plate big disappointment, a few tomatoes on the basil ice cream, it was simply a tomato salad with a small piece of ice cream. As for the brandade, drowned or even non-existent in the mash. And for dessert, a quarter of a peach on yogurt-style cream. All without much flavor. In short, we come out hungry. Not worth the detour....!

06/07/2025: From breakfast with authentic old-fashioned hot chocolate to dinner featuring Ardèche specialties, this is a tribute to tradition, but above all, a culinary delight. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed myself so much. A special shout-out to the chestnut soup served with foie gras. A culinary experience not to be missed.

08/09/2024: We went for the first time to La Besse and it was Negative It wasn’t a plaisir It was a mistake Ok we had several dishes , fresh ,local but presentation and standing disappeared. Just Simply like an ordinary restaurant. The refinement and know how from Mathieu Mejan weren’t present like savors. For dessert:rice with milk,burnt puffed rice. The waitress was kindly and she is his wife.They were only two persons the boss and his wife. The wine cart is good with good choose and variety. Be CAREFUL they forgot there experience!!!!

15/10/2023: Family-run hotel with a convenient location on the Ardeche. Numerous parking spaces (including charging stations for electric cars) directly at the hotel. There is also storage space for bicycles. Very friendly staff/owner, very clean rooms, enough space for our 2-day stay. Great and modern bathroom. Air conditioning available, unfortunately no refrigerator. Pool directly at the hotel, as well as a restaurant and a bar. The breakfast buffet is extensive and offers something for every taste. We would come back at any time.

30/09/2023: Lieu très bien entretenu. Belle chambre avec terrasse. Salle d eau néanmoins petite pour poser ses propres affaires. Petit déjeuner correct avec pain frais 👍.

As for the reception of the dishes, it went very well, once again, the waiters are very talented. As for the quality of the dishes served, they were excellent. We had a very good evening.
