12/09/2026: We came twice during our stay, the food is excellent and we were very well received by the waiters, however a big downside at the time of payment, a long wait and no attention during payment, no thank you or goodbye, would it not be more sensible to take payment at the table?

07/09/2026: We stumbled upon this place quite by chance, having discovered it in the Rough Guide during our visit to Sartène, and what a delightful surprise it was! We received a very warm welcome from André and Mimi, the owners, who are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The setting is superb, with a lovely shaded terrace next to the watchtower, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. As for the food, everything is homemade, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! André and Mimi even recommended a place to buy delicious local jams, which we promptly visited after leaving the restaurant. A truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the warm welcome and the beautiful setting. If you're ever in Sartène, I highly recommend stopping by! Thank you again to André and Mimi for this wonderful experience.

31/08/2026: We visited Serra di Ferro a week ago during our stay in Corsica. We had a very positive experience at this family-run pizzeria. The pizza was really good, and the homemade desserts were truly excellent. The wait was short, even though it was crowded. The staff were very professional and courteous, especially their son, Teo, who was very friendly and welcoming. He spoke in Corsican and therefore understood Italian very well. Congratulations! 12/07/2026: Lovely terrace in a quiet alleyway. Very good value for money. There were eight of us and everyone enjoyed their main course and dessert.

05/09/2026: We had the opportunity to have two drinks at Shirley's Bar. They charged us 50 cents for a lemon wedge—it was the smallest lemon wedge I've ever seen. They even said we should thank them for offering us sugar in our drinks. We were shocked and asked for an explanation. The answer was that they "have to do business" and that we Italians charge people who sit in bars without consuming anything, so it all makes sense... don't go to Shirley's Bar.

11/09/2026: I recently had a sudden craving for authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine, so I tried this place. I ordered Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork), since it's basically the "signature dish" of Northeastern cuisine. When it arrived, my first impression was: the portion was quite generous, the pork slices were beautifully fried, with a golden and crispy outer layer, not the kind coated in a thick layer of batter. Taking a bite while it was still hot, the first bite was crispy, but the meat inside was still tender, and the sweet and sour flavor was quite pronounced, but not cloyingly sweet. The most important thing I care about with Guo Bao Rou is that it must be crispy. Some restaurants serve it delicious, but after five minutes it becomes completely soggy, ending up as "sweet and sour fried pork slices." This place was quite good; the outer layer still crackled when I ate it, and the sauce hadn't completely softened the crispy shell. The sweet and sour flavor leaned towards the sweet and sour, which I think is more in line with the feel of Northeastern Guo Bao Rou, not that overly thick, industrialized sweet and sour sauce. The pork slices themselves were also cut to a good thickness, so it didn't feel like you were eating nothing but starch. Served with shredded scallions and carrots, the sweetness is actually slightly reduced. But if you're like me and came specifically for the "Northeastern-style sweet and sour pork," I think this dish is worth ordering. Northeastern cuisine isn't the kind that's overly refined or eaten in a couple of bites; it's all about the hearty presentation and the satisfying taste. And honestly, sweet and sour pork is best eaten while it's hot. I'll definitely come again!

11/09/2026: I ordered the sweet and sour pork! It was incredibly crispy! I've officially declared it their signature must-order dish. It's made in a very authentic, old-fashioned way, with an extra crispy outer layer coated in a perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce. It's so crunchy when you bite into it while it's hot! Plus, they give you a generous amount of meat, making it so satisfying to eat big chunks of meat!

30/08/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An excellent restaurant! There were four of us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the food was truly excellent from start to finish. A huge thank you also for the incredible welcome extended to our two dogs. It's so nice to find a restaurant so welcoming to animals. The staff is lovely, always smiling, very pleasant, and attentive. Honestly, we have absolutely no complaints! We will definitely return to Le Roi de Rome. We highly recommend this restaurant!
