03/11/2024: We stopped at this establishment, ideally located on the edge of the national highway. Beautiful park and beautiful facade of the castle, friendly and helpful staff, speaking for the most part only in English. Room with obsolete decoration, worn-out old furniture, in all clean with comfortable bedding, gloomy lighting, poorly heated (we were cold) no dressing gown, no slippers.
The catering is not up to the standard of this establishment, to be avoided, the dining rooms are downright cold with gloomy lighting, 60s joinery, insufficient breakfast.
! I understood that this hotel is a 4 star, for us it does not meet these criteria
I do not recommend it and we will not return.

Just to let you know that 2 days after the post was published, I was informed by email of the reimbursement of tickets by Weese...!!🙂
Having failed to contact the Château de Fontager by telephone to notify them, I sent them an email.
Everything is in order and that will not prevent us from returning there because we appreciate this place of tranquility and calm. Thank you C.St for your numerous interventions with the ticketing company🙏.
Looking forward to meeting again.

I picked up a pizza there and received a very warm welcome.
In addition, the pizzeria works with local producers on ice creams and craft beers.
Nothing to complain about the pizzas, I enjoyed myself and will come back without hesitation!

15/08/2024: Disappointing experience…. Beef from Japan costs €80 per plate, 80% inedible (only fat), despite the fact that they brought us 4 additional pieces… (after having had it noted). It shows you the level of the restaurant... no presentation of the plate... the accompaniment is extra....
Cocktail: nothing more….
The high price would not be a problem if everything was up to par
More than average service (e.g. “I forgot the potatoes! I’ll go get them)…. We had to ask for the salad which was forgotten…
In short, to be avoided!
FYI: €217 for 2 and 1 child meal

28/11/2024: Fish of the day with leeks. The fish arrives on the plate with endive and a few Bxl cabbages. Cabbages?? We had to cut the black thing on the plate in two to find out what it was!! Truthful! Worthy of a roadside restaurant and again...so why a 4.5??? Don't understand??

12/07/2024: Very very nice! We went there randomly for lunch with my daughter and we enjoyed the food and the staff. The tomato/burrata salad was deliciously huge and my daughter really liked her nuggets (children's menu). The staff is pleasant, smiling and caring. Thank you for this moment!
