28/12/2025: Arriving late on a Sunday at lunchtime, we found a table for four and received a very warm welcome. We enjoyed a delicious meal in a great atmosphere, and the crepes were excellent. They also have Khmer cuisine to try. We ate near the extensive Southeast Asian menu, which reminded us of our trip this summer and which we loved.

Chocolate-caramel dessert of the same ilk.
A delicious, relaxing lunch with professional service, neither too discreet nor too intrusive.
Under the gentle sun of Carantec, accompanied by a magnificent blue sky.

Smokers are better off than dog owners. This is a nice restaurant for people who enjoy meat. My flank steak was perfect. However, as a dog owner, you have to sit outside in 15°C (59°F) weather; there's an enclosed area for smokers so they don't freeze.
My suggestion: set aside a separate area for dog owners in the large restaurant. The staff is nice, but sometimes not open to criticism. If they improve a few minor things, this could be a great place.

Pros: The bread, the sauce, and the fresh vegetables.
Cons: Not hot enough, a very bland, textureless veggie burger. A real vegetable burger with chunks or a coating that would have added some crunch would have been nice.
23/08/2025: My girlfriend and I ordered here on a whim. We were expecting a "Burger King like" but no. It was good. We were pleasantly surprised, the burgers were all good, and the fries were a real good surprise (and yes, not Mc Cain McDo there) in short a good surprise at a fair price, I recommend.

26/11/2025: A century-old institution. It sounds a bit pretentious, but it's a good restaurant, classically elegant; I've never had a bad meal there, and it's less expensive than you might expect. I miss the days when it was also a very chic café.

29/10/2025: Very nice place. The bar is very clean and well laid out. The owner is friendly. If you're in Bénodet and looking for a place to have a coffee, don't hesitate. It's 5 minutes from Bénodet. There's a bakery right next door. A good excuse to have a drink. 😜

Hands down the greatest find in Brittany.
03/01/2026: We stayed for three nights on a half-board basis for New Year's Eve. We were very pleased with the welcome and the kindness of the owner and his staff. The presentation of the dishes was very thoughtful and delicious.
