13/08/2024: Nous y sommes allés sur les coup de 16h pour le goûter et nous n'avons franchement pas été déçus. De la pana cotta, en passant par la tarte au citron meringuée, tout est délicieux et très bien présenté. Le personnel est top !
01/08/2024: We love this restaurant. The food is great: good choices, well prepared and delicious at good prices. It might not be quite haute cuisine but the relaxing ambience and atmosphere with the incredible views more than make up for it you will have a lovely time there. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. We have been three times so far, and have already booked to go again in August when we return to France.

The staff was excellent and helpful.
22/06/2025: We had a lovely weekend at the Chamois d'Or. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the food is delicious. We will happily return.

24/11/2024: Nous avons l habitude de ce restaurant l endroit tres sympathique. La cuisine est vraiment adaptée a notre gout. Suivant notre demande il nous fait epicé ou moins epicé. On a jamais été deçu meme pour le plat du jour avec le café compris. C est raisonnable donc je comprend pas les personnes qui critiquent la quantité d un plat et met tout le monde mal a l aise Pour nous c est parfait je recommande.
17/11/2024: Très déçus. Nous sommes restés sur notre faim. J'ai commandé un tarka dall cad des lentilles pour 12,50 euros . Dans un petit poêlon, il y avait peut-être 5 cuillères à soupe de lentilles. Goût assez fade. Sans accompagnement que le nan ( pain indien) à 5 euros que j'ai commandé. Mon mari avait le plat du jour un poulet tandori. Pas de saveur particulière. Beaucoup trop cher. J'aurais dû lire les avis car d'autres clients se plaignent des quantités insuffisantes servies.

09/08/2024: We went the same time ,same day last week and just had a glass of wine. Today we could only have a glass of wine if we shared a pizza. I explained we were booked somewhere else to eat and we would only be half an hour. The waiter said we had to order a pizza. Didn't want pizza so We had to leave. Was embarrassed because hardly anyone else was eating and there were many empty tables too.

I'll add: Yes, we do get a BLACK facade on the Prom AND on the Californie.

23/08/2024: We were greeted very coldly with: “we are no longer serving”. This at 1:30 p.m. and while a quarter of the terrace had not been served. Given the rude welcome and the look the manager gave me, I can't avoid wondering if it has to do with the color of my skin.
EDIT: We, however, ate very well at the Brasserie Guillaumoise next door which does not appear on Google. And yes, the Bar des Alpes served the following people well. A shame

24/08/2024: Séverine est devenu depuis le temps une institution et la référence pour manger un bon pain bagnat devant la mer !

08/08/2024: Idéalement situé sur le bord de mer parfait pour déjeuner sur le pouce.
Malgré l'affluence et la chaleur Bettina est toujours souriante et a un mot gentil pour tout le monde.
Les produits sont frais et les portions généreuses.
Les prix sont corrects pour le mois d'août sur la côte.

Tout était excellent seul bémol c’est la carte qui propose de entrée qui sont des plats !

When we arrived in front of the hostel, there was a sign that said "closed this weekend."
We hadn't been warned.
We ran into the manager who told us, "I can't keep all the numbers!"
