Villa Madie doesn't simply serve a meal; it offers a suspended, gentle, harmonious, and profoundly human moment. We were discovering haute cuisine for the very first time, and we couldn't have dreamed of a better setting. From the moment we arrived, everything was designed to soothe: soft lighting, a calm atmosphere, subtle music, and the perfect temperature. Nothing is jarring, nothing abrupt—everything flows smoothly, everything accompanies the experience. It's immediately clear that this establishment isn't about showmanship, but about precision. The service, remarkably precise, was also exceptionally gentle. The head waiters guided us with kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth, never intrusive. Their discretion, their sincere smiles, and their evident pleasure in sharing the chef's work created a perfectly orchestrated, almost invisible, yet essential ballet. Every time we mentioned a dish, they humbly returned the compliment to the chef's talent—an elegant ritual that speaks volumes about the restaurant's philosophy. And then there's the cuisine. Dimitri Droisneau's cuisine. A cuisine that doesn't seek to impress but to move. A cuisine that doesn't shout, but whispers. A cuisine that doesn't overwhelm, but reveals. Everything is mastered: the textures, the cooking times, the iodine, the acidity, the Provençal herbs, the ever-present umami. We felt as if we were rediscovering ingredients we thought we knew. 28/11/2024: Comme l'expression le dit si bien, ne pas toujours se fier aux apparences. La façade du restaurant n'est peut-être pas attirante mais ouvrez la porte et vous aurez un accueil chaleureux avec une belle table. Les différentes entrées, plats et desserts sont fait maison et sont variés. C est la 4ieme fois que je viens en 3 mois et la carte évolue. Cela me plaît beaucoup. Le cuisinier est très doué, la serveuse très pro et le responsable de salle à comme un petit air de Patrick Fiori alors foncé.... très bonne adresse. 🤫🤫🤔

02/11/2024: Excellente adresse, à chaque passage une belle découverte. Une carte qui change très régulièrement on a envie d’y retourner régulièrement. Et des desserts recherchés ce qui ne gâche rien !

05/11/2024: We had lunch with friends at this hostel in September. Very good and very generous meals. Outside on the terrace with great sunshine and throughout the meal the smile and kindness of an adorable waitress who was perhaps the boss but I don't know. .We were on vacation and we will return with pleasure. I recommend this hostel

26/11/2025: Excellent restaurant just steps from the Old Port of Marseille. A warm welcome and a delicious meal. The dishes were flavorful from start to finish. A huge thank you to the waiter who literally saved our evening by chasing after thieves and retrieving my bag. Incredible responsiveness and kindness! Thank you so much for your hospitality, professionalism, and humanity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

13/11/2025: A wonderful discovery just steps from the Old Port, with prices much more affordable than elsewhere in the area. We came to try our first bouillabaisse, and the experience truly lived up to expectations: a generous and perfectly explained three-course service that allowed us to appreciate each flavor. Special mention goes to the dessert: four scoops of ice cream with Provençal flavors, which we had to guess. A simple but truly fun and successful idea. Finally, a word about the service: impeccable, very pleasant and attentive staff. It makes all the difference and makes us want to come back. A Marseille address to recommend without hesitation.

19/12/2024: Menu Expensive dish and wine, very expensive for basic dishes, frozen fish, the meat is good, I found the fries by chance under the meat, lol 😝 personally it will be the first and the last. Bye-bye Suzanne.

13/12/2024: A superb discovery is the little brother restaurant of Le Figaro: a favorite address. Here we find homemade bistro cuisine, fresh and seasonal products in a warm atmosphere.

22/11/2025: Delicious "Ailloli" dish of the day: a variety of vegetables, fish, a few shrimp, mussels… ultra-fresh. A friendly, unpretentious brasserie with kind and smiling staff.

15/12/2024: Very disappointed! I went several times to this restaurant/tapas which was really nice, which I also recommended to several people. Their tapas were really good and elaborate, we tasted interesting mixes and we found affordable bottles of wine. It was a bit expensive restaurant but the products were worth it. Unfortunately, their menu has completely changed! They kept the expensive side, but without keeping the elaborate cuisine. There is no more choice, and the tapas kept on the menu are not prepared (tenders, panisses, fritters, gyozas, etc.). Eating chicken tenders, panisses and a cheesecake with a glass of wine for €40… that’s expensive. I will unfortunately not return there.
